That's usually not a glowing endorsement of company culture. My mother hired this company to open our pool because we had used them before the ownership change and had always had a good experience. Unfortunately, this experience felt like a masterclass in how to lose long-time customers. Mariah initially quoted us one price, but after seeing the property apparently decided that quote was more of a "suggestion" than an actual number. We were told the price needed to increase because, and I quote, "How else am I supposed to pay my employees?" While payroll is certainly an important business expense, I'm fairly certain the accepted method is not surprising customers with inflated invoices after the fact. The billing somehow became even more impressive when we were charged for 2.5 hours of labor at $140 per hour instead of the $95 per hour we were originally told. The only problem? Her own employee confirmed the crew was at the house for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. Unless someone has recently invented time travel, the math isn't mathing. Not only were we billed far beyond what was discussed, but the crew also managed to break our pool pump and then attempted to blame us for it. Which raises an interesting question: If we knew how to operate the pump, troubleshoot pool equipment, and properly open a pool ourselves, why would we hire a pool company in the first place? The answer is simple--we wouldn't. We hired professionals specifically because we don't mess with equipment we aren't trained to handle (shocking right?). At the end of the day, mistakes happen. Equipment breaks. But changing prices, overbilling for time that wasn't worked, and refusing accountability when something goes wrong is a spectacular way to send loyal customers directly to your competitors. As a final suggestion, it may be worth hiring someone dedicated to invoicing and customer relations. Because if this experience is the standard, the only thing getting cleaned out this season will be the customer list, and Mariah if you're reading this and absolutely hate your job, have the other co-owner buy you out, and live your best life....far away from customer service because it is not your specialty. 10/10 do not recommend.

Now that it's time to open the pool they want to charge me over $100/hr in addition to the regular opening fee to get the water and leaves out of the pool (that are there because the cover sank.) I had to have pool refilled by them once. During summer even with all the rain we had to add water from our hose. The hot tub attached to pool is sinking and brick point is falling off. Hot tub has not worked properly since installed. Had to pay to have lawn and landscaping redone from their equipment. All landscaping stones are washing onto my sidewalks. Wiring is exposed at main electrical box. They never showed us how to properly use the pool and spa. Had to pay another contractor to blow lines out and close pool up for winter. Aqua Spa was suppose to do this for free the first year, but they never responded back to my calls. Contacting the BBB and hopefully will get this resolved without an attorney.

I posted on the PA loves Pool's Facebook group on Thursday night. He was at my house Friday morning. And had the pool liner installed by noon Saturday. Very honest and professional. Regarding the initial technician who is reviewed here. The initial estimate was May 11, and I was told it could be installed the first week in June. My pool liner was delivered to Kasper Pools May 15 or 16, and I picked it up a few days later. I hadn't heard anything since May 11, so I texted him on May 30 because I was supposed to be on his calendar for the first week in June. At that point, he began pushing everything back, and did not provide any date for install -- just kind of left it open ended. He also told me it couldn't be done unless I was home. (It actually turned out not to be true. Leo and his partner did it themselves.) almost a week later I hadn't heard anything, so I texted Tom a week before I went away (for work) hoping it could be done before I went away,and was ignored for over a week and until my 3rd text. I attached proof of that. My wife screamed after the final postponement because we were waiting almost 7 weeks and Tom cancelled bc of a 20% forecast of rain (that never happened.) The so-called harassment Tom describes, on my end, was a response to his very lengthy text, an hour after we thought we were moving on. This text was again full of excuses and selective memory and warranted a response. I also have proof of that. Tom claiming I only got the liner 3 weeks ago (which I have proof is wrong) is either a blatant lie, or, if Tom actually believes this, demonstrates a concerning inability to accurately recall prior communication (even though it was sparse). Even though he & his crew were swamped, Tom assured us he felt comfortable providing us w/a mid-July install, weather pending. Tom & his crew were able to keep their time estimate and were here 2 weeks into the month. Not only were the installers able to stick to a date range, these guys worked through one of the hottest summers the Northeast has historically had on record and they were able to finish our job on the 3rd day in brutal heat.
