The space and instructors are warm and welcoming, making everyone feel at home. I wish the schedule was a bit more robust with a wider variety of classes, but I appreciate that most classes are small and the quality of instruction is high. They also offer free community classes on the full moon each month, which is a great opportunity to get a feel for the place and experience the energy. I'm so grateful we have such a top notch Kundalini center in KC!

I have been out of my practice and was a little self conscious going back but have not had any regrets getting back into my practice at this studio. My only struggle has been interpreting the right classes for where I'm at and what I need as not everything they do translates to the more "one size fits all" yoga classes I've been to in the past. The studio is outfitted with advanced FAR infrared technology, built from untreated cedar, illuminated with chakra lights that fill the room with healing color, and finished with a pink Himalayan salt wall that elevates the entire experience. The instructors are wonderful across the board, and many remember your name even after just a few visits. Christian's classes in particular feel like a lovely, hypnotic yoga trance. They also offer hot mat Pilates, which is a great option when you want a break from yoga, and their Sweat + Sculpt classes are a real workout -- I don't even need to go to a regular gym on those days. I walk out looking like I showered in my yoga clothes, which is exactly what I'm going for. At the end of class, instructors bring around a cold washcloth scented with lavender or other essential oils -- it feels like heaven. If you're serious about hot yoga and want a real workout, this is the only place to go in Kansas City.

Brining guests is a complete hassle and you're charged a non refundable fee of $25 if life changes happen and you don't come with a guest that day. On several occasions I was denied guests even tho it was well before the required 24hour application to request them. On multiple occasions my requests were completely ignored and went unreported to even if they were placed 72hours in advance. I was frequently traveling to KC for work and sports only to be hassled when my wife visited from LA stating that I reached my cap for local guest passes (mind you, she lives in California full time and would visit me about once or twice a month for a weekend) 3. Steam room in women's bathroom is utterly disgusting and wasn't cleaned since I was there over a several month period, how'd I know? The dirt streaks and giant clump of hair that just remained of the floor for over 6months 4. Coming from Los Angeles and the Heimat gym where I pay $350/month, I was excited to try this gym... but this gym is clearly nothing but a wanna-be elite gym. The best part of this place is the flavored water in the women's locker room- And maybe the pools in the summer but good luck finding parking 5. Prof Garry Huff is a great teacher. He is patient, kind and an expert in his field. After the class, participants go to Core Coffee for breakfast or just a coffee or tea to get to know each other. Core Coffee gives to all Tai Chi participants a 20% discount! Their special Tai Chi Chai Tea is delicious. It is a great way to start the weekend, make friends and exercise without pain.
