I'm not normally a fan of seafood, but I have honestly eaten every bite that they've served me. I haven't had shrimp that fresh since I lived in Asia. And the vegetables are crisp and fresh, too. Secondly, the price is AMAZING for what you get, especially with inflation these days. If I were to order a very basic fast food meal from a delivery service, I'd expect to pay a minimum of $23 for each meal including the fees. The flat rate of $78 for six meals is INCREDIBLE for what you get. Thirdly, it's convenient. I don't need to (1) shop for groceries, (2) prepare the food and (3) clean up afterwards. Everything is taken care of. The microwave is the most complicated thing I'll have to deal with. And lastly, the portion sizes are perfect. It's just enough to fill me up without any leftovers. I'm eating EVERYTHING in the dish and nothing is going to waste. As someone who's recovering from serious illness and surgeries, this company has been a godsend. I can't recommend them highly enough.

When prepping for a show, there is no room for errors. The customer service is excellent. Kendall also helped me to ship the meals to my daughter and her roommate in Indiana. The girls love the meals too and shipping was a very reasonable cost. The menu changes monthly, so you don't get tired of the same food. There are regular menu items too and every meal is customizable to your preference of protein and carbs. I can say that the meal service has really come in handy during busy times when I'm not able to do my own meal prep. Kendall and Linda run a great local business. I would recommend the service to anyone looking for a great tasting, nutritional meal prep service. No contracts or subscriptions required either like some other meal services. Via Yelp, I ordered a Beyond Brat with Tater Tots and a Sprite. Other items I hope to try in the future are The Onion Ringer Burger, and the Impossible Burger which appears just as tasteful as the Beyond Brat. I received a text message once my order was received, as well as a text once it was ready for pick-up. By then I had just pulled into the plaza, a plaza which I am very well familiar with located in the Avondale neighborhood. Plant B is located inside of Avondale's Food Pick-up along with several other vendors. I remember spotting this location after grocery shopping at the Jewel-Osco that sits within the plaza. I love these eatery's because they bring a diverse selection of foods to choose from, as well as opportunities for food entrepreneurs to get their name out. Avondale's Food Pick-up has its own parking space that is solely designed for pick-up rather than dine-in. Most visits are no longer than 15-minutes unless you are like me, and take many pictures, hehe. My order was waiting for me inside of a compartment box as directed in the text message. A simple pick-up with no contact whatsoever and I was on my way. The Beyond Brat smelled absolutely wonderful as expected! Its taste was convincing if it were real meat rather than beyond sausage. I cannot see this being the last time I order the Beyond Brat being that I crave bratwursts often and Plant B is one of the few places I now know of with it. And as for the Tater Tots, they certainly satisfied my tastebuds. During my discovery of Plant B my mouth watered at the sight of them, and I just had to get them once I made my way out. I had a satisfying experience at Plant B. As stated, I would surely order from again whether it be takeout or delivery via Yelp. Had I ordered from the place I usually have, I would have had to pay a shipping fee of $35 whether I had it shipped to my home or to the business. I hadn't heard of Joseph's before but decided to take a chance. I placed my order by phone the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and they took it with no problem, no extra charges; they also took the bone out for me. I was a bit nervous just because I hadn't tried this place before, and if there was a problem there wouldn't be much chance to fix it or easily switch gears. But I needn't have worried. While it would be helpful if they decided whether they were going to use numbers or just a line (I pulled a number upon entering, but they weren't advancing the numbers and instead just taking people who said they were next), I was in and out within ten minutes. The employees were helpful. Like many butchers, they have more than just the meat but it's not a grocery store (though I found I could have gotten the baguette that I made a separate stop to procure). The turkey breast I bought was at least half of what it would have cost at the place I've used in the past. With that kind of savings, paying their 4% credit card fee was fine by me (pay cash to save yourself the fee). Parking is easy; it's Dunning, not Lake View. Will definitely come back, possibly sooner than later since I've been wanting to try making a pot roast and I expect they'd have the right cut of beef for that. I won't bother with the butcher I used to go to with this one so nearby.
