This traveling food truck features reasonably priced tacos and nachos. I liked the well run, well…read morestaffed, efficient operation. My loaded nachos lunch ($10) was ready just as soon as I pulled my credit card out of the reader. The loaded nachos entrée was generously sized, with crunchy chips, a good portion of warm, creamy queso, and a fair amount of my choice of meat (ground beef, chicken, or pulled pork), onions, black beans, salsa, jalapenos, cilantro, and avocado drizzle. More chicken and black beans would have been nice. They have an active social media presence, with plenty of events, so they are easy to find at their latest location. Very nice.

They have a small menu of about 4 taco options and nachos. The guys working the truck were super friendly and patient waiting for everyone to order and figure out what they wanted to order. I split the nachos, chicken fusion taco, and carnitas and potato taco with a coworker. I loved the nachos. There wasn't a lot of ground beef on them with is my only complaint. But they were loaded with toppings and spread pretty well so that you didn't get the 4 chips with everything on it and the rest of the chips being naked. It was a good even amount of toppings on all of the chips. The chicken taco was really good. Great Asian slaw and crispy taco shell. I wish they didn't put tomatoes on it because I didn't think it went very well with the slaw but overall that taco was really good. The carnitas taco was just ok. Not bad by any means but I think I just really enjoyed the nachos and other taco more. Great truck to get if you are needing to cater to a large group of people.

Cousins Maine Lobster has been around the KC area for a few years now. I had been to a few pop ups…read morewhen they were just starting out here, back when wait times were 2 hours. They have a bigger presence now and do more frequent pop ups so I decided to try them out again. They are just a food truck. You can check out their social media to see when and where they'll be. They also have an app but I have issues with it every single time. On my most recent visit I was unable to order online and had to do so from the truck which was fine but a little irritating. The individuals working the truck were nice but they were a bit unorganized-the iPad for payment was off, I was unable to get a receipt, I wasn't able to scan my app to get points, and I just had to guess/stand around for my food because they didn't seem to have a way to notify me that my order was up. I wasn't able quote five minutes and it was close to that amount of time. I like the lobster grilled cheese paired with the lobster bisque. The grilled cheese isn't huge but it is filling and they put a good amount of lobster in it. The bisque wasn't as good as I remembered it, it used to be richer and it seemed a little thinner than it was in the past. But it was still good with chunks of lobster. I've also had the lobster rolls and they are a little on the small side. They have a new lobster roll flight where you get to the all three varieties. And honestly, that's the way to go. You'll get the most bang for your buck and way more lobster than by getting just one. Overall, it's good and I like to visit them every now and then. They are on the pricey side for a food truck but it's lobster and we live in the landlocked Midwest so it is what it is. If you're wanting something different and feel like some lobster, definitely check them out.

Was so looking forward to this as I LOVE seafood and have been following Cousins Maine Lobster…read moresince their Shark Tank days! Took a selfie in front of the truck and everything! Ordered the Connecticut lobster roll for $26 and was amazed it was no bigger than a hot dog and was served on a piece of garlic toast as the bun. My "sandwich" didn't have any warm garlic butter but did have plenty of warm, chewy, rubbery lobster on it. I didn't even finish my sandwich it was so chewy. I was kicking myself for just not going to get a fish-o-filet...it really was NOT good and I sure could use that $26 back! Not sure I have the budget to try something else there...or even if I did would I want to? So disappointed.
