Camp Arrowhead is a summer camp for kids entering 2nd through 11th grades. Nestled off Route 24,…read moreCamp Arrowhead is on a beautiful piece of pine tree filled land on Rehoboth Bay. Campers are kept busy at Arrowhead... kayaking, sailing, roasting marshmallows, swimming, tie dye, archery, climbing wall, zip line, high ropes course, canoeing, cooking over a fire, banana boating, disk golf, hay rides, arts & crafts, marsh walks... What sets Arrowhead apart from other camps is that it is a Christian Community. In terms of the day to day life of camp, this means that campers stay with their unit for all of their activities. This provides campers with a group of people who they really get to know and feel comfortable around, which allows campers to push themselves. Staff members are committed to helping every camper have a great time. As a camper myself for over 8 years and a staff member for 4, I can attest that Arrowhead is an amazing Summer Camp.

I've been going for 3 years now, and I can say that the staff is happy, the activities are great, and the accommodations are... good. Nobody is ever bored at Camp Arrowhead, with all the fun and games going on. Even the food is delicious, especially for a summer camp. Bathrooms are clean, and the accommodations are as clean as a cabin in the woods is going to get. Overall, CA deserves 5 stars any day!

The food isn't good, but good for camp food. They have mysterious juices that are amazing! The place is really clean and everyone is really nice. I loved the sanding, and the lady who helped us with it was really nice and funny.

The staff does not actually do much work. More like the parents doing everything. At least in our experience. Pool is nice but not heated. No chairs. I would say the facility is not handicap friendly. With a handicap child I was not permitted to pull my car forward to unload her things. There are lots of stairs and some hills. No ramps or walkways that we saw visible for easier access to the buildings and areas for people who may need it. Poor ventilation throughout. We had to open a lot of windows and doors to get fresh air into every building. The food selection was lacking. Kids tend to be picky so having 1 meal (turkey burger) for all the kids and Gatorade is not ideal. Several kids cried from hunger and thirst so we had to go get food about 20 minutes away. Some variety is always a good idea. And some vending machines for drinks. The ropes course is a major problem. We concluded that it seems pretty dangerous and perhaps should be evaluated for safety regulations. The instructor should have safety ropes attached to him/her on a harness at the bottom, not have children holding ropes. If someone falls, children are not going to be able to stop the ropes. The sizing is off. Made for adults. Not enough rocks to climb. And three children being attached to eachother is not safe. Someone could get seriously hurt. Overall nice place but we probably will not go again.

My daughter has been attending drama theater camps offered by Rehoboth Summer Children's Theatre…read morefor many years since she was 5-1/2, she is now 8. She loved the first year and has been excited to go back every year since. During the camp week, the children learn the plays and put on a performance at the end of the week. The younger children go for a half day and the older children go for a full day during the 5 day week. The older and younger kids work together and separately throughout the day. All of the older children have been great role models for the younger kids and have taught my daughter how to help provide motivation to the younger campers. Steve and Karen lead the children through drama exercises during the week, help them learn a play that they will perform on the final day and make props for the performance. All the staff are very patient and kind to the children. Also, during the week, the kids get to see a performance put on by the Rehoboth Summer Children's Theatre group. These are full performances acted out by two individuals. The plays change from year to year and are fun to watch. This year my daughter will try the Film and TV Camp for the first time. It will be an exciting challenge to try something new. I'm sure this camp will be organized and as rewarding as the drama camps. We will be returning for more camps this summer and hopefully for more summers to come!
