This is the first time we ever left our dog, Jäger in the hands of a dog sitter. He played really well with the other canines and he was absolutely pooped by the time he got in the car. I highly recommend entrusting your pups to Heather. We were vacationing in Carmel for the week with my two vizslas but the cottage we were staying in has a policy against leaving dogs unattended. We needed somewhere for the dogs to stay during the day while we did some biking and kayaking. And Heather provided the perfect doggie day care solution. One of my dogs is a handful, always figuring out ways to get into food and food-like objects that other dogs wouldn't even notice. Heather kept an eye on him constantly to make sure he stayed out of trouble, which was much appreciated (and exhausting, no doubt). The biggest indicator that Heather is fantastic at what she does is that the dogs were super excited to go to her house each day - and exhausted when they got home each night. It was great to have peace of mind that my pups were being well cared for, and I'm delighted to have found such a great doggie day care solution for future visits to Carmel. We went to Monterey for the weekend but couldn't take our little Molly (maltipoo) to the aquarium so we dropped her off with Heather. She sent us photo updates and Molly spent most of her stay cuddled on her lap/sofa so she could be "protected" from the other playful dogs as Molly is somewhat tiny and shy. And she loves cuddles! Took our cattledog, Sully, to Heather for 2 days of day care while we were at the First Festival. She sent us the most hilarious picture of Sully playing with the neighbor's dog and let us know that everything was going well. Heather even drove Sully back to our hotel room both nights since the concert went until ~11pm and it would have been tough for us to drive back to pick her up. We have used Heather twice now to sit our two pugs. We absolutely love her. Our two dogs are older and have special needs. Heather is caring of them and never leaves them alone. Heather is awesome. She was so sweet and you could tell upon meeting her that she lovees what she does and LOVES dogs. Our little love Abby was happily pooped for the evening after an afternoon day at the beach with Heather. I've never felt more comfortable leaving Abby in Heather's very capable care! Using a mapping app Heather will send you a text letting you know exactly where she is walking your dog and for how long, along with a picture of your dog having a blast at the beach. Though we live in Seattle, we had the pleasure of using Bow Wow Coastal while on vacation. Heather is incredibly friendly and warm, yet still maintains control with the dogs. I can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was with Heather. She accommodated us at the last minute to bring our little Piper as we came to town for the Big Sur marathon in April. Not only did she ask lots of questions about Piper to personalize his care for his stay, but she also gave us tips on traffic, directions, recommendations for food, etc. and was so kind and helpful. She was flexible on the drop-off and pick-up times for Piper as our plans were constantly evolving. We even got a picture from her that night of Piper smiling--seriously didn't know that was possible but it's still my husband's background pic..cutest thing ever! I have to add my 2 cents worth to the other reviews. We needed someone to walk our dogs when we first met Heather. My husband and I both had arthritis and were facing joint replacement surgery. She is terrific with our dogs! In fact, even know that we are both capable of walking them, Heather comes twice a week as our dogs just love her so! read more

Heather is fantastic! My fur baby Thor who has been going on "adventures" with Heather for over a year now. He loves his time with her and anxiously awaits her arrival during the week! Our dog loves going to stay with Heather! He has been going to be pampered by her since he was about 4 months old, and is now 1.5 years old.
