Then called back to a different department hoping I could talk to a REAL person and did told him what happened and ask him if he could switch me to someone I could talk to yep sure will then switched me yes was put on hold and waited then said to myself well likely will be cut off again so I hung up. I know you guys are busy but if its this bad just say no call will be taken at this time. So word to the wise go there if you need some info as that's all I wanted. I didn't know there was a 30 day limit to return the item, but nonetheless, the item had never been used and I felt it wasn't unreasonable to speak to the owner. The moody cashier attempted to reach the owner and was unable to do so. She claimed he was on his lunch break. She stepped out for a few minutes, came back and said the owner declined to meet with me and refused to take back my 14$ item. The cashier had a smirk on her face and it really looked like she was pleased not to take back my item. I will NEVER go back there again, not because I wasn't able to return my item but because the service that I received was so unprofessional and frustrating. I will make sure to tell all my family and friends about this experience. I do not recommend this store.

Temagami, despite a varied selection of small mom-and-pop stores, is about as far removed from the action as it gets, which is why having a chain store here is a great resource. My friends and I ended up stopping here during our trip to the nearby Finlayson Point Park after we discovered that we were lacking several crucial kitchen implements and supplies. The first thing we noticed is that this place is laid back. REALLY laid back. This is the kind of place that functions on a completely-different schedule and pace than the rest of the province. If it's not the giant plaque from the Lions Club outside that catches your eye, all you need to do is stand around inside for a few minutes and watch the customers have long, laborious conversations with the cashier(s) about an upcoming potluck event, the weather in Temagami or anything in-between. You want to talk about that "small-town feel"? This place has it in spades. It's also a surprisingly-stocked branch for a such a small town. Hell, there are Home Hardware locations I've visited here in Mississauga that don't have nearly the selection or service as the Temagami branch did, so their attention to the "customer experience" (such as it is) was much appreciated. I don't usually get excited over hardware stores, but walking in here was such a strange experience that it immediately stuck among all the other places we visited on this trip. I'm glad to have visited, and impressed that it's a bright spot in the town. Worth a look if you're in the area and need something quick.

The huddle of depressed menopausal women with the odd summer students usually cheerful, are hostile , unsmiling, disdainful And heavy. Heavy in build and heavy in manner. I was embarrassed to overhear them berate a middle-aged but youthful customer for not having her receipt for a power tool purchase. It was a long story and it had recently burnt out. She told me later that it was a replacement for another one that had malfunctioned and caught fire (HH's own Brand!)after a few uses last year . The current one had been a return. I watched the sulky staff warm Up to the scolding (more like harassment to Me). I suspect that the most authority person was the one with grommet/ears which drooped. They challenged everything .It was malicious and absolutely uncalled for . It the Home Hardware brand --where else are you going to find it . I've always had issues with the brand name payment and never am confident that I will be listened to so don't complain . But I'm Done .After years of witnessing the humiliations of others I've decided to discontinue to shop at this store . I object morally to the depressives who are employees and act as one filling out punishment not care or advice. If ever there was a body mutilation statement to repulse customers it is the grommet ears .i will never set foot in this poorly managed , impossibly unwelcoming retail Environment again .
