Avoid at all costs!!! All of the recent 5 star reviews have to be paid bots or they are asking people they know to leave reviews because this place is a disaster. When we moved out we informed them that any communication they might need to contact us about could be sent to our new address or emailed. No contact, so we assumed everything was all good. Then less than a month after move out we get a collections bill for almost $5,000. Mind you, they never contacted us, and more than likely sent it to our old address because they are a sketchy company! When we moved in, the front office staff was very kind and helpful. Now you are lucky if you can even get somebody to answer the phone, and if they do they usually have a horrible attitude. When we turned in our 60-day notice they wanted to do an inspection, which our lease specifically states that the only inspection required is at move out, meaning they went against their own lease. We informed them of that, and the agent got rude and told us it was in a section that doesn't even exist in our lease. The hot tub and pool are down every other week it seems. We found out after our pipes froze and we had no heating in January and no water, that our unit freezes every year and it's a known issue. But nobody ever informed us of that until we had been without water for almost a day. There were stains on the carpet when we moved in and large patches of carpet replaced but not the full carpet, learned this when it kept coming up while vacuuming, and I just feels like they are going to try to charge us for that even though it was already there. (Which it looks like they did) When maintenance did the walk through for the 60 day move out they kept warning us that if basic wear & tear isn't fixed we will be charged, which is technically illegal, not mad at maintenance but they are saying the leasing is sketchy. They want us to repair all nail holes, any areas where paint might've rubbed off, etc. Because the place has to be turned around and ready in 3 days. So instead of actually repairing anything they are doing horrible landlord specials which you can see all over the apartment and just putting it right back out. We spoke to some other residents and they were telling every single resident different things regarding basically everything. They pick and choose what they want their policies to be depending on how much money they think they can get. Literally the ONLY good thing about this place was the maintenance. Charged for features that were never ordered by the disorganized office staff for my move-in for my Smart Apartment, advertised features that were never intended on being offered for use to residents at move-in. Grounds are COVERED in dog feces and staff does not respond to multiple emails regarding the biohazard waste and the effects to residents. AND they continue to show prospective tenants apartments that overlook the poop on the ground floor in direct view! To charge people thousands of dollars to live in a biohazardous waste land? Was a resident for over a year and so glad to of moved out. This place is horrible. Not sure what you are paying for at this place. So many better and cheaper options. Maintenance is a joke. The stairs are literally falling apart. They are made of concrete and could fall on you at anytime. Ive seen huge chunks just on the ground. When they do notice how bad they are it takes them weeks to repair them. They have the concrete stairs just waiting to be installed but instead they wait until they are falling on someone to do something about it. We found mold and water damage as we were moving out. They are going to patch up the wall and clean the carpet instead of actually doing anything about the mold. It was so bad that the molding was bowing out. This is so gross to me. How are they not going to replace the carpet? Plus they charge us for paint/drywall and carpet cleaning even though we literally couldn't do anything about the mess they left behind tearing out the wall. The carpet should be replaced especially with the mold in it. We called in work order but they never got back to is until I called again and finally someone came out. The pool and hot tub almost never work. I don't think the hot has worked since I moved in. When they said it was working it was so dirty and nasty who would want to get in plus it only lasts a day or two at most . I don't think the pump on the pool works because every time Ive seen it looks disgusting. The fitness center is a joke. Its like 3 pieces of equipment. They charge you for every little thing here. You pay 10 dollars a month to rent their crappy washer and dryer. Ive never even heard of places doing that before. They recently repainted the place but it looks terrible and the guys who did it were sloppy about it so they missed places and painted over everything. There is overspray on everything. They gave it the landlord special. This place doesn't have much going for it. Landscaping is horrible to nonexistent except the front area around the office. The office is so disorganized and none of them have a clue whats going on. If you put in a work order in a month they might get back to you. The garages are a joke. If you can fit your car in there (tiny) they are 125 a month. Most places charge 50-75 tops if they do at all. So many places you can get a apartment and garage for cheaper than this place. Maintenance has at least 4-5 with their stuff in there plus they have all these storage containers all over the property like they are actually plan on doing something around the property. Funny its been a year and nothing has changed but the crappy paint job . Most of the longterm renters have moved out and my building is almost completely vacant. I've lived here for almost 2 years, my vehicle is and has been registered on the resident portal online with Echo Ridge, then last night my truck was towed because it wasn't registered with the 3rd party parking monitoring. There's no security in the parking area, no cameras, nothing, and there are no parking passes, but a few months ago they decide to start charging people for undesignated parking and randomly towing people. John Kindle the manager is here to hold you to the letter of your lease, and provide zero assistance of any kind unless you want to sign a new lease. When the rent on my 1 bedroom went up $190/month he smiled and said, "our rent increases are commensurate with property valuations in the area, sir", in the legalese way that he does. When the facilities like workout room or hot tub are unavailable for months on end, his response with a smile is "well your lease doesn't guarantee you use of ANY of the amenities, sir" read more

I am the lightest sleeper and very picky when it comes to choosing an apartment complex and I've lived in several communities all over Colorado and here at Echo Ridge is by far the best, hands down. It's safe here, exterior and interior are very well kept, it's quiet and the parking is good. I have had to contact the front office for a few things-maintenance and my account and no matter what I need help with- they always help me to get it taken care of quickly. read more

It feels quiet peaceful and safe here. We enjoy the amenities, the management is kind but very business driven. Our only concerns would be the lack of effort put into preparing the unit we moved in to. We had a broken window panel with rainwater built up to 3" in between the outer broken panel and the intact inner panel. It had been like that for a while, as indicated by the plenty of rainwater lines that stained the frame. It was pretty gross, and we had to add it to the list of problems we found right off the bat. Management has quickly tended to and successfully repaired every request we have made. Unfortunately we had a handful to make after move-in: - Gross window replaced - Light fixture replaced in kitchen - Fireplace amenity gas turned on by request But I would like to say here we have spared them a lot of attention to detail in the hours I've spent: a) tightening screws that secure many of the knobs and handles on the many doors and appliances that were noticeably loose or about to come undone. This is still the case for fixtures in the bathroom that were taken down as note by the last maintenance visit wherein they were inspecting our fire systems as a result of a recent fire in an adjacent building. They have not yet come to address these issues or contact us about them. b) taking time to re-secure every window - 6/8 of our windows were improperly secured by way of the locks being pushed into the side of the window frame instead of the notch where they are meant to be, which meant every window was not sitting correctly in the frame, causing a a significant leak in the seal either at the top or bottom. Considering our climate and the very windy 3rd floor location, this error had unknowingly cost us energy and comfort. Fixing this significantly improved the draft, our energy bill, and overall satisfaction. DIY Maintenance! Saving other people time and stress, like model residents. c) identifying subsequent issues that were not obvious in our initial move-in inspection. - The microwave turnstile is broken. - The stovetop light fixtures, one is cracked and broken. - The large element on the stovetop will stop working if the coils are not in *just* the right position. - Bathroom toilet handle needs to be held down for at least 5 seconds in order for the toilet to complete flush cycle - The shower head "screams" at us; researching this 'symptom', we found many sources citing mineral build-up in the pipes as the clear cause of this problem. We have to jiggle the faucet pull 5-7 times in one shower to shift the water flow to stop it from happening. It is surprisingly loud and unpleasant for us and likely for anyone we share walls with. - Laundry washing machine frightens me! Even with a modest load of laundry and careful placement before the wash, the spin cycle has had the load shift and the counterbalance fails. The machine begins to loudly STOMP and SHAKE, as there is no apparent safety mechanism to stop this, and I have to SPRINT from whatever I am doing in order to stop the cycle. It is an alarming event that has occurred 5 times now in the 6 months we have resided here. - Majority of the (plentiful) ethernet ports do not actually work as evidenced by efforts from Xfinity (establishing internet connection was arduous at best, we did not have have effective service until two weeks past our move-in date.) In our efforts to resolve this, Ms. Destiny of the leasing office made a snarky, admittedly unappreciated comment via phone about the importance of having internet and I think the young lady takes for granted that in order to do anything pertaining to the jobs we work that pay for our residency here, we require internet connection. Nonetheless she provided appropriate contact information to seek assistance with our problem. Finally, a neighbor that resides in the building adjacent to us that experienced the fire recently lamented to me about her dissatisfaction of residing in a unit in such close proximity to other now-empty fire-damaged units involved in the fire. This neighbor felt that more could be done by the leasing office to address understandable health and safety concerns. I share all of this in a well-meaning spirit. It must be difficult to run a complex of this size with this many residents, so I have withheld many of these issues for how petty and manageable they are. But I would be remiss not to share our honest experience and real frustrations with this many issues for a complex that is billed as "Luxury" on the sign out front; it has not been a luxurious impression, save for the loveliness of the leasing office architecture. Worst Apartments I have ever had to deal with. I'm a young girl who was leaving an abusive environment and i told these people I was looking to move in a soon as i could. Which I should of never told them what was going on cause all they saw was money signs. The 1st red flag was they wanted to charge me $350 more dollars cause they said my credit was bad, which i found out was a lie cause i went to a different apartment and they said i was all green on that end. The 2nd red flag was they had me turn on the utilities super early and told me I could move in on the 18th which didn't happen cause they wanted to keep changing things and adding more money i need to give them to just move in. The 3rd and biggest red flag was i was talking with the manager of this place Lynn. I was told they needed a place i lived 2+ years but that place was with my parents who have both passed away. She was not understanding at all and told me, she needs to contact someone to check to see if i , " rekted the place." like what in the world. You want to know if i "rekted" our family home. Then I was told i could be charged more [almost $1,000] for not having the info, well pretty much being a orphan is what she was saying. When i told her as well that i could give he tax returns and my parents death papers to show where i lived Lynn told me, " that is useless info for me". This is the worst customer service i have ever experienced in my life. Another messed up thing is they had me give the $198 from the app fee and the admin fee to just be treated like this. The times we live in and people want to be act like this to orphans. I wondering if they were being prejudices to me because being a person of color, I hope not because i have never had to deal with anything like this in my life. When i was talking to other apartments about what Echo did they were all like, " That's not normal." It crazy that it seems like Echo Apartments is trying to take advantage of an orphan girl trying to find a place to live. And for the price which i was willing to spend and can pay, this is ridiculous. Run as fast as you can from this place. read more

I just gave up even bothering trying to get help from management about anything anymore. We have a neighbor upstairs who yells, screams, bangs on things, his kids scream all the time and they carry on so much that our walls vibrate, and so do our kitchen cabinets. His wife screams and cries while he yells at her and they bang things around everywhere. They shake things so hard that they have knocked over lamps TWICE and made our lights flicker from all the vibrations from the pounding. I tried to give them the courtesy of knocking on their door to ask them to stop, and their teenage kid screamed in my face (wonder where he gets it). Then, the dad that sounds like he's beating his wife says that I was 'aggressive' with his kid. Because I asked them to stop. Management won't do anything about it except to tell me they don't have a problem because it's not verified. They literally told me it's my problem and I should just accept 'reasonable sounds from living in an apartment'. I have lived in several different apartments in my life, but I've never heard anything like this and never had neighbors shaking the walls until my stuff broke. Trash and dirt all in the stairwells and the parking lot - they never get cleaned. Neighbors leave bags of dog poop at their front door all the time but management never does anything about that either. The area behind my patio stinks because there's always dog poop in it. It never is cleaned. It just breaks down eventually but always smells. Same with the 'green' areas around the sidewalks. They were supposed to fix the windows when I first moved in a year ago, but have never done that either. I gave up asking because they just get defensive as usual and nothing changes. For what I pay for this place, I expect a higher degree of professionalism from them than a ghetto but it's a lost cause. They don't care. They are ready to pay a pretty penny to get new people to move in, but they don't try to retain the residents they have. Skip this place and go rent a house. You'll be glad you did. I have stayed at Echo Ridge apartments for a year and I have enjoyed my stay there. The apartments are great and plenty of room. The views I had on the top floor were fantastic. The staff were great and fair with me and the everything was fixed right away if I had any issues. I worked with Kortney and she was very helpful and always got back to me in a timely manner. The only issue I had being on the 3rd floor was noise complaints about me from time to time. If I was watching a game or just breathing heavy people will hear it and complain as it was an older community, which is why I am not giving it a 5 star. This considering I NEVER had guests or a party. All in all I do recommend these apartments. Cheers! read more

Wish I could rate 0 stars. This place has thin walls and even thinner ceiling and floors you can hear the people above you walk around. There is no insulation or sound barrier between the apartments. I have submitted multiple emails on their web site and have never seen anything done about hearing your neighbors noise. Not even a mass email, flyer, text, etc... to remind residents there may be people trying to live below them. They might have upgraded the look of the apartments but did not invest where they should have. I am so glad I only have 3 months left on my lease. read more

The leasing staff were friendly and professional. This was one of only a few Castle Rock apartments that offered short term rentals less than six months. The price was very fair. I would not recommend this place. I was a model tenant for 2 years & at move out Lynn from office decided to keep my security deposit & charge me An additional $400+ to replace perfect carpets. The reason she said was bc I had a dog (which I paid addtl rent for & she lied& said he ruined the carpets ) My pet never had any accidents in apartment & the carpets were professional shampooed and steam cleaned 4 months before move out). I got them cleaned bc a tiny amount of chocolate milk spilled , and I am a very tidy person. In 20 years of renting Apts (bc I move frequently for my job) this is the 1st time ever I have not received my full refund of security deposit . I was nickel & dimed at move out & over charged for absolutely no good cause . --also dog poop is all over the outside areas , and the dog pickup bag stations are usually empty. --the fireplace at the hot tub was broken for the duration of 2 years I lived there, and they have no desire to fix it. Heather assured me at moving in, that would be fixed & it never was. --my truck was also hit & run in the parking lot, and nothing was done about it. --see cops in the Apts monthly. Beware: they will keep your security deposit and make up some lies about it & charge you addtl . Then they will send you to collections bc you refuse to pay them for no reason . Went to go take a tour here and wasn't even the unit we would be getting. Instead of a 3 bedroom unit they showed us a 2 bedroom we attempted to call the office since they knew we would be looking on a set guided tour. Wasn't able to get through to anyone and so we went to the office and the employee there was extremely rude. Don't understand why you would be rude about people wanting to move in. read more

We've only lived here for a few weeks and, so far, it's been great! The location is great, close to the highway and easy access to all the necessities. The only problem we've had has been with very very loud neighbors, but the complex has been very helpful with that in their end. My wife and I lived here for 15 months in which most of it was good. They did a lot of painting on all of the apartment buildings in the fall when we moved in in which we both feel that the colors looked better before they changed them. They also did a lot of pavement work throughout the complex but never sealed it so the pavement is all different colors. This is most likely an indication of how they do things. However, this was only a small part of why I am writing this review. We signed our papers to move out giving them 60 days notice and they also increased our rent by a 1/4 of what we were paying monthly. My wife and I did a lot of cleaning prior to moving out but they took our whole deposit and asked them to pay more money after we moved out or they were going to send us to collections. The amount that we owed was small but is more of the principal of the matter that I tried fighting over this but eventually lost. They took pictures of appliances that we had left in the apartment by accident but charged us to move them out and did not even call us to let us know that we left them in the apartment. If I would not have went in to the office to dispute the charges that they would have taken the appliances without notifying us. Apparently, it states in the lease that we could have had the opportunity to do a final walk through of the apartment but we were too busy packing and moving to read through the lease as most people are when they are moving. No one in the office ever said that we could do a final walk through when we signed our 60 day notice which is just another indication of how they do bad business. Also, they charged us to replace light bulbs because they were not the same color after I had purchased some at Home Depot and replaced them before we moved out. They also charged us for damage to the kitchen floor that was caused by there own maintenance crew when they moved in our rental washer/dryer. Our washer/dryer was supposed to be in the apartment before we moved in but it was not so they had to move it in after we moved in. However, we were supposed to fill out a move in sheet a couple days after we moved in which was before the maintenance crew damaged the floor and we were not able to put this on our move in sheet so we were still charged for this damage. When I went into the office for the final time, I was barely listened to by the office manager as she stared out the window as I stated my case again and just said the charges would still stand and if we did not pay them in a reasonable time that we would be turned over to collections. Only solace I received out of the last time I went to the office was that they did give us our appliances we left in the apartment after they probably asked the maintenance crew to return them to the office so they could return them to us. Needless to say, do not live here unless you want to get ripped off. read more

I lived here for 4 months, and it was the longest four months of my life. The women (it was all women) in the rental office were idiots. Actually calling them idiots would be an insult to idiots everywhere. They're more like robots that have no answer to anything. It was mind-boggling to deal with them on anything. Secondly, the common areas in the complex are filthy. Absolutely disgusting- they need to power wash and paint. Big time. Last thing- the pool is a cesspool of degenerate lowlifes. I took my kids once, and I will never subject them to the scum that hang out there all day drinking beer and smoking cigarettes. If you appreciate incompetent management, constant life disturbances, unwarranted fees, unresolved conflicts & being threatened by staff...THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!! The first few months were great & I loved my apartment, but issues with management grew worse & worse over the term of my lease. Like other reviewers noted--they will nickel & dime you until you are broke. If you call with a problem, they won't call back (even upper mgmt will ignore your calls). If you request a repair or other maintenance involvement, expect that it will go ignored for at least your first 3 attempts. They will tow your car & make you pay for it without warning. BUT rest easy, if you leave an abandoned vehicle or trailer on site for months, it will not be touched. Phew! Kortney Lefkowiscz (the "manager") will call the cops on you & threaten you & your guests with fines & trespassing charges even if you are at the pool WITHIN THE POSTED HOURS. When you try to address an issue like this, it will be completely ignored by her as well as her supervisor. This respect, responsiveness & action are just the types of management skills they aim to instill in their staff. The ONLY decent staff members are Lynn, Heather & Sam. So if you are desiring a little face time with law enforcement, just follow the rules! I hope you like to walk, because they shut down huge sections of parking for days, so be prepared to hike it across the complex, groceries & all. This is especially fun in the rain. :) If you enjoy your beauty rest or just a decent night's sleep, you might want to look elsewhere. Between roofing, painting, resurfacing, striping, etc...you may never sleep again. My favorite part was having crews climb onto my balcony, terrify my pets & then leave all their construction debris for me to clean up. Ahh... talk about a favorite pastime... Although I left my apartment perfectly clean, I look forward to not receiving my deposit back, as that seems to be the norm. I am only giving 1 star because I can not give 0 stars. This apartment complex is by far the worst property I have ever lived at. The staff is incredibly unprofessional and rude. I honestly feel that for the last 12 months, I should have had a Lawyer to help me deal with this community. I feel like it has been nothing but problems since I moved in, and the best months were the ones when I was out of town, or spent little time at Home. That's right, I called it home. When you rent somewhere, it should feel like home, and this did not. I felt like I lived in a very hostile community the entire time. I actually got a notice after I moved in that said kids under 18 could not be outside on the property with out adult supervision. So if you have kids that are, oh say 16 or 17, they need to be supervised??? Multiple maintenance requests, that were not handled correctly the first time. And here, to top it off, I went out of town for Labor Day weekend. Couldn't pay my rent on the 1st, but they allow a grace period until the 3rd without a late fee. Well, I was going to pay my last month using their handy Phone app. It is my last month, so I only owe a partial month. Even though the office was closed on the 3rd, I didn't think it would be a problem to pay on the 3rd online, like I had always done. NOPE!!! Their app doesn't except partial payments. I called and left a message and never got a call back (no surprise there) so I had to call in today on the 4th, asking if it needed to be a money order since it was the 4th. Yep, no problem... Oh, by the way $110 late fee. Seriously!!! so I asked to speak to a manager, and spoke to **** the Financial Manager. She was rude, and inconsiderate, and completely unwilling to even discuss this issue from my point of view. I'm not sure why I expected different from the place I call HOME! She hung up on me because I was irritated that they are ripping me off. Well, get your money cause after this, I won't give you another dime, and no one else should either. I should have believed all the negative reviews I read before. They are all true. Find somehwere else to live. Sorry if this review seems un-polished. Beware these people will nickel and dime you until you're near broke! There are so many hidden fees that it really soured my living experience there. The day after I met with the management to rent an apt they raised the rent $50 from the previous day. If you rent there, just know you will NOT get your security deposit back. I rented an apartment here and only ended up spending about 1 week total over the course of 6 months. Everything was completely clean and in the exact same condition when I moved in, not a scratch or scuff. I even scrubbed the windows. This didn't stop them from taking my security deposit so that they can clean the carpets and repaint the walls. What a hoax. I am rating a 2 simply because I watched ONE maintenance man (Will) carry a busted refrigerator up and down 3 flights of stairs alone. If it wasn't for him this would be a one. However that's where the compliments end. We have been here a little over 4 months and have had nothing but problems with the office staff. My experience has been they are inflexible and brash. From new business paperwork and setting up correct expectations to the delivery of mail/packages this place has been a disaster. We have had four (4) SEPERATE packages been delivered to the office and had them go missing. Tracking numbers state delivered, Castle Rock post office confirmed delivery within the office, office can't find it. When I asked the office staff they stated this is just their process, this is how it's done. Well, how it's done isn't working-how can we fix this? I WAS TOLD BY THE OFFICE MANAGER THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE TO CONTACT THE POST OFFICE. It's now coming up on the holidays and I am terrified that my gifts will go missing. One package was RELEASED TO THE WRONG UNIT BY THE OFFICE. I have filed a complaint with the district so hopefully this is resolved but fair warning if you are looking to move here read more

We have really enjoyed living here for the last year and recently decided to sign a new lease! It's a very nice apartment and in wonderful proximity to so many shops and the highway. The rent is also SO much cheaper than that of Denver apartments and we get so much more for our money. My only feedback would be that we have had a broken back door screen since we moved in and it had never been fixed (with a requested work order). However, they did promptly come check out our air conditioning when we had an issue (so it's confusing why the door is still broken). Overall, we really enjoy living here! read more

Been here about 6 months. Haven't had any huge problems. We've had many maintenance calls and most are handled same day. Rent is about average. Pool area is nice. Staff is helpful. Location is awesome. The issues regarding parking are true but if you have a garage, which we do, you have lots of parking; one in garage and probably two compacts in front of the garage. Perhaps I need to pay attention more to my rent bill but I have never felt or discovered any hidden fees to start with. If you need to live in Castle Rock or as me needed to be center between Colorado Springs and Denver this property is a solid option for you. Management and maintenance have always been responsive and resolved anything that I have needed in my two years of living here. Heather (leasing consultant) in particular has been outstanding and Echo Ridge is lucky to have her. I also see allot of complaints on security deposits being unfairly held and I foresee no issues when I move out next month. Live clean and take care of your apartment might be a good message to those that lose their deposits. In terms of facilities floor plans are open and well designed. You have either detached or attached garage options available. If your after an attached garage they lease pretty quick as I do not think they have as many. My apartment was spotless and impeccable when I moved in. Exercise room/gym is updated but pretty small. Pool area is very nice with lots of barbecue stations and usually packed with family/kids. Can't blame them its a nice pool. If you like to hike and get outdoors you have open space RIGHT behind the complex as well as some Douglas County open space/park areas minutes away from you. Accessible for mountain biking and hiking. In summary I would have rated 5 stars and perhaps this isn't the pm's fault but dog doody can get a little gross at times. This is the typical lazy tenant scenario not cleaning up after their pets but perhaps either Echo Ridge could get more assertive on policing the lazy pet owners or hire a better doody picker up service. We have been living here since May 2014 and have loved it. Heather is awesome in the office. She always helps us with any problems and it seems like she's always working. The apartment is great! Well kept. Love the 9 foot ceilings and beautiful views. The pool, hot tub, and fitness room are amazing as well. The only thing I would say needs improving is organization and higher standards with maintenance. My work orders have been forgotten at times and that can be very frustrating. But overall I would absolutely recommend living here. read more

Pros: +Maintenance Staff is very friendly and reliable. Always smiling and will greet you. + View of Castle Rock Cons: - Parking. If you come home any time after 9 pm, forget about parking anywhere near your building. We have complained about it numerous times and nothing is done about it. There's not enough spaces for the buildings, garages are overpriced, and people park their motorcycles and boats around all year without use. We have 2 kids and always have to double park to unload, and then try to find somewhere for our car. - Management. If you have any kind of problem with your lease or renewals, forget about them helping you at all. Any problems brought to their attention are largely ignored. If it's an issue with renewing your lease or extending, expect HUGE rent increases after the first year. - Tenants. A lot of violations of the drug free property policy, also ignored by management. Someone had a grow operation in their window! People have taken to putting motion activated spotlights on their patios to keep strangers away. Some porches look like junkyards, with fridges and car parts sticking out onto the lawns. - Buildings. Though only a decade old, they are wearing out quick. Shoddily built on a hillside, most rooms show wear in cracks, floor bucking and bubbling, and porch sag. They look pretty, but you can tell most everything has been covered up with a cheap coat of paint to conceal the flaws. I fully expect one of the Western buildings to collapse onto Allen in the next decade. - Cost. Rent is exorbitant. Expect an increase of around 10% each and every year. NO utilities are included, so you will be paying extra for everything from water to trash, which themselves will set you back $50 a month. Overall, if you have a ton of money to spend and just want to live in Castle Rock, feel free to live here. If you have a little more time, you can easily find townhomes and even houses for the same as you will end up paying here for rent and utilities. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! read more

This is a wonderful place to live. It is close to everything and easy access to the highway to Denver. The Castle Rock community is great with lots of things/events to do for all ages. Never, I repeat never rent from Echo Ridge. They will lie, cheat, steal and do whatever they can to take your money. They will remove information from your move in sheet, they will falsify documents on the condition of the apartment. Take photos, keep a master copy of everything. It won't do you any good, they will still try to steal from you, not stopping for anything. Its a very illegal business. They keep it nasty, the hot tub smells of pee. The never clean it or the pool, beware. The halls are dirty, smelly and darn right gross, maintenance will never fix anything. Its truly a dump. If you don't care about walking in dog poo, pee in the hot tub and pool, no maintenance, fees, falsified documents and really just want to toss money down the darn, this is your place. read more

It's unfortunate that I had to select one star. If there were negative stars I would select -5 because this place is a true scam in action. If you decide to live here you can count on them to keep your deposit with no good reason (if their isn't one they will lie and fabricate one), they will throw in a bunch of hidden fees after you've signed your contract and they will nickel and dime you from every direction until you are flat broke and sick from exhaustion from dealing with the rudest, most disrespectful and ignorant office staff I've ever come across. The apartment had not even been cleaned when we moved in, there were rips and tears in the vinyl flooring which I marked on a walk through sheet on the first day. I then took the form into the office and made sure they were aware that the damage was a pre existing condition but somehow, 4 months after I had left the apartment in good standing having paid my rent on time each month, they sent a carpet, padding and vinyl flooring replacement bill to a collection agency without even notifying me of any cost, never sent a bill or a letter, email, not a phone call or nothing, just straight to collection. These people have clearly done this before to others because when my wife and I showed up to the office to discuss the situation and make things right, they immediately began insulting us and telling lies about how they sent a letter (never happened) and the documentation stating the pre-existing damage magically disappeared from my file. They also claimed that we did not give 30 days notice of us moving out when in fact we brought into the office a written notice of us moving out approx. 60 days in advance (which also magically disappeared from my file). An interesting point to note is that i wasn't tied to a year or 6 month lease, i signed a month to month agreement (because of my job situation, I travel extensively) which raised the already highly expensive rate by my standards. So why was it a problem I gave 60 days notice, it was a month to month lease!!! It's amazing to me that these people are still in business! They are liars and scammers!!!! I would sooner choose vagabonding and homelessness before subjecting myself to living here again. Do not move here, they will rip you off. read more

We were very disappointed with our rental experience here. We left the apartment in better condition that we found it yet they kept $150 from our deposit. The snow removal is non-existent. Only after I slipped and fell in the parking lot did they make any attempt to clear the lot in front of our apartment. The noise from the new neighbor above us was so extreme we were forced to call the police after several complaints to the office went unaddressed. We were forced to break the lease due to the fact the noise was impacting our quality of life. They made no mention of the 'lease cancellation fee' in advance (yes, I read my contract but my contract also says they are required to address complaints which they didn't). They then send a move out statement with 9 days to pay the $1,307.64 they claim we owe them. I will be reporting this property to any agency that protects consumers rights. read more

I have had quite the opposite experience. I have lived here almost 2 years and have found the staff and the maintenance workers to be very responsive and friendly. I love the layouts of the different models of apartments and the location cannot be beat! Living at Echo Ridge you're close to most of the restaurants, factory shops, banks etc. and less than a minute from I-25. I would recommend E. Ridge to my friends! read more

We also lived at Echo Ridge for a year and half. When we moved out, I cleaned top to bottom. I took photo's, I made sure it was prefect. Then a almost 6 months after we moved out, we where given a collect letter for $2000 dollars. Saying it was for cleaning and repairs. Repairs that were needed to be fixed when we moved it. Repairs that we added to our move -in sheet and where suppose to be ok when we moved out. We have been fighting this collection since, because of this false report it has effected our credit report. There wasn't anything left in that apt that we should have to pay for.This Apt management will steal, lie and cheat at your cost, please don't rent from them. There is dog poo everywhere. repairs will never be done right. We went all summer without air, because the maintance staff had no clue how to repair it.
