I like this place. Found some vinyl for my turn table and some comic book stuff for my kids. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable.

Part of my weekly vinyl hunt - I really like the folks there. Always helpful, and no worries with refunds if something isn't perfect. Also, a great place to pick up accessories that are otherwise deadly-expensive (aka Nintendo stylus...). A favorite! read more

"We pride ourselves on selling mint condition items at a great low cost." Carrreful with your fibbing there, Echo. I went to buy a handheld there not long ago, and found one on the shelf that had been chewed on by a small dog (marked down $25, of course). It still worked fine, but hardly "mint condition." It's a cute little store overflowing with DVD's, records, and video games that no one plays. With plenty of decorations, excellent location and lighting it's definitely got a personality and local flavor all it's own. Very charming when you go in or pass it on the street! If you're looking for a rare/interesting PS2 RPG or something of the sort (Say, Final Fantasy or Suidoken), you'll have to squat and look in a little glass case where games of actual value are kept. They leave all of the "Super Mario Soccer"s and "Madden 2010"s in plain sight, but if you want anything good better look harder. Nevermind all the wall-space behind the counter where these things would look great on display. All of the interesting/collectible titles are cramped into a tiny shelf behind glass where they can't be seen (spines only!), examined or even asked about without a key. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and makes triple sure to test things before you walk out the door. So if you buy a game or console, they'll hook it up and make sure it works before you leave. That's a nice touch, I like that. There's also mounds of imported buttons, necklaces, and other junk that the teenage wicca/otaku in us all would certainly enjoy. Glass cases that used to have Skylanders in them now have Lego people, for some reason... not sure about that one. The shelves are CRAMMED with box-sets of Friends, NCIS, Supernatural, and any other sort of show you grew up enjoying. Their DVD movie collection is expansive and relatively well-organized. Just don't try to sell anything here, they've got plenty of stock and you'd be delighted to get $0.30 per DVD. Trust me, I've tried. It's not the place to go to get any $$$ for your items. (Though, they're perfectly happy to sell you things like "Fantasy Life" for 3DS at $5 below the NEW price found at Target. Interesting...) It's quaint, it's local, it's friendly, it's reliable. It's 90% junk, it's worthwhile items are locked up, and its not a place to sell things. I stop in now and then to see if anything cool has popped up. read more

My wife and I make every effort to shop locally - its one of our core values - so we shop at Monkey See Books instead of Amazon, we're pretty regular in the local restaurants. We're huge fans of the Sketchy Artist, Sisters Ugly, the coop, etc. So, when we decided to get an XBox for the family this christmas, naturally, I checked out Echo DVD and Games to buy a couple of used XBOX 360 games, which I did. Turns out the game we bought used has a read error around level 6, and also won't copy to the hard drive. No problem, I thought, they had a couple more, and this happens to used games every now and again. The employee at the store accused me of damaging the disk and trying to swap it. I mentioned that it plays fine for 5 levels, but then freezes, and won't copy to the hard drive. He then accused me of trying to pirate the game (copy it to the hard drive and return it). Just completely refused to exchange the game for another one. Really disappointed. read more

Echo has a wide variety of cds/records/video games (all old & new platforms) bobbleheads/posters etc. Owners are very nice and easy to deal with on anything in the store. It's great to go in and browse. Usually you will find something to buy everytime. Love going in there w/ my family and shop there whenever I can. read more

It's really good there was only one problem I had with it. Sometimes the games and movies wouldn't work but, they do have a guarantee system that lets you bring them back in 60 days. read more

we go there as a family often, trading in dvd's and picking good flicks for a family movie night or game day. have yet to be disappointed
