visited January 23rd and 25th 2026, and mainly skiied down Sun Spot and Tumwater for most of the…read moreday. This intermediate terrain had some steep faces and wide terrain to accomdate a crowd of people. There was one day, the winds were blowing up Sun Spot and was blowing snow up the hill, which I was told was not the norm. There were some icy spots but never any rock skiing danger. I did not venture out to Chair 4 where there were two other runs open. I had lunch both days at Midway Lodge. One pulled pork rice bowl and one pulled pork sandwich. Both pork products were juicy and well seasoned, great for a mid day break. There was pleanty of seating inside as well as outside. At the base lodge area, there are multiple places to access the bathroom and getting RFID card was a snap. Just showed them my payment email and was printed a card right away. The lifts were generally fast, and they did show down for the ski schoolers occassionally. Lines were mainly only about 4 to 6 people deep and once you got your lift ticket scan, off you were to sit a spell and enjoy the views. The staff was great, answered questions and nice all around. Since it was early in the season, parking was not a problem and I was always close to the base lodge. I did not try the night skiing, so if you did buy the day pass, you could continue into the night skiing hours if you had the energy. I ended my day bot times in the 3:30 range. I did download the PDF trail map but they also had posted trail maps at certian locations avaliable. As for wifi, this worked at the base lodge area and not at Midway Lodge. Cell service worked at Midway but I noticed a few times my text messages failed to deliver, but on the second try went through. I would return here since Stevens Pass has gotten very busy in the past few years and due to road damage, I opted to try MIssion Ridge, I am glad I did.

I took her back to the rental shop to have her boots adjusted. When I explained to the boot guy, Al, that her feet were freezing, he said, "Well, it's because it's cold." He didn't move to do anything. I told him he needed to adjust her boots. He did. Her feet were fine and toasty the rest of the day. But had I not said anything, he wouldn't have done anything. When I went back later to get the guy's name, I asked a man, Steve, what the boot guy's name was. Steve said, "Well, he's wearing a name tag." I said, "Seriously?" Then he gave me Al's name. I found it interesting that they wanted me to complain to their administrative office. I'm more interested in saving others from the same experience. I doubt their administrative office would do anything. David in Rentals was wonderful. The people on the rope tow were wonderful. But I'm not going to give my money to a resort that treats people the way these guys did us in their rental shop. I'll go to Steven's Pass.

This is a cat skiing service. For a lot more money than you would pay at a lift-serviced resort,…read morethey put you in a snow cat, ferry you up high on a mountain, and let you out with a guide. Which means, no crowds and generally untracked snow. It's really a special thing to go do. Here's how I'd describe the various components of this service: 5 stars Terrain - this is pretty close to Stevens Pass and it's fantastic. Moderate steeps, moderate trees. Generally I'd describe it as black terrain (not double-diamond for the most part). 5 stars Views - wonderful views of the Cascades 5 stars Avalanche training - just right, not too long but covers the important stuff in maybe 30 min. 4 stars Guides. They were good, took us to great spots... and other than that generally stayed out of the way. 4 stars Lunch. There were nice boxed sandwiches from a deli in Leavenworth. Tasty. 2 stars Cat rides. You spend maybe 1/3 of your time in the back of a cat. My experience was, it was sunny, and there are a lot of windows in the cat (that are unopenable), and very poor ventilation. There is 1 tiny window that opens (like 3" x 14"?) and 2 ineffectual small (3" diameter solar?) vent fans, and 1 heater that was on all the time. It was SO HOT in there. Like 60 degrees which is a lot with ski gear on. With tons of condensation, dripping from the ceiling, and fogging the windows most of the day. Seems like it'd be an easy fix to add a couple more vents/windows that open. Anyway we were all sweating/uncomfortable in there. AND if anyone had covid I'm pretty sure we all got it. All that said, if it was a cold non-sunny day it probably would have been more pleasant in there and less of an issue. One last issue, and this is not their fault at all, is on the way home on weekends you'll get caught in the Stevens Pass bad traffic through Gold Bar and Sultan. So plan for 1 hour to get up there from Monroe and 2-3 hrs to get back on Sat/Sun/holiday. Probably not an issue on weekdays. So guys, fix the cat ride ventilation properly, turn off the heater on hot days, and you'd get 5 stars from me. Great skiing but I dreaded getting back into that hotbox each time. Make sure you are comfortable with black runs if you're coming. If you only like blue runs this isn't for you.

First off the parking lot situation was much better than it was after the pandemic. I do appreciate the reservation system, and also the dedicated carpool parking area during the peak periods.Plenty of staff manning the parking lot area to help us find a spot. My kid took a few ski lessons here. The instructors were very patient and very good at their job. My kid ended up skiing very quickly after his lesson and was excited to continue to ski for the rest of the season. All of the staff here always have a positive attitude and are great to be around. All of the chair lifts were functioning properly and they had everything moving very well. The main runs were groomed nicely and the first few times I came up. There was fantastic powder, so the ski experience was great. I appreciate Stevens being a part of Vail resorts as I am able to use my epic Pass here. The selection of food is good. There are several cafés that you can get grilled food and a sit down restaurant as well. Appreciate the discount you can get off of the food with your epic pass. All in all, this has been my go to ski resort this winter and probably will continue to be. Looking forward to the next ski season.

I like that there are slots that you can have your equipment stay at while you go inside to eat or go bathroom. food and drinks here are expensive, but at least it is warm. I was able to even take a nap inside when I was resting from the slopes. staff was quick at their job, but kind of rude. it is to the point that they are rushing you to make a decision on what to order and for you to check in at the front with your membership. Oddly cliquey with the staff who scan the membership cards before you go on the lift. but, at least the staff who control the lifts are really bubbly and kindhearted. I liked talking with them and they are very encouraging to those who are having their first time skiing or snowboarding :) so thank u to those people

Over the next few days we also noticed the following: 1) under the bed there are numerous boxes, two microwaves and a pair of dirty socks. 2) 2 out of 4 of the bathroom light bulbs were not working. 3) the bathroom cabinet has a bunch of random stuff including an empty tp roll. 4) the fireplace was taken apart and the thermostat was hanging off the wall. 5) a candy wrapper under the couch. 6) top of the fridge was disgustingly dirty. 7) cabinets are messy and disorganized. 8) carpets are super dirty. 9) random sleds and rubber glove in parking area. 10) windows are also disgusting. This place doesn't feel like a rental. It feels like someone's house that wasn't expecting guests. Creepy. Also, the "hot tub" is not hot and doesn't have functioning jets. It seems to have been that way for a long time. I reached out to management and they completely brushed off my concerns. They came by to put the fireplace back together and screw in the light bulbs that weren't working, but otherwise nothing. They tried to say it was because it was a same day turn around, but this place is chronically dirty and disorganized. I get that the cabin is old, but for $200/ night I would expect it to be clean. We will never stay here again and we WOULD NOT recommend it to anyone! There are way better places to stay.

Our cabin, #40A, was very nice, with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths in a small house built from locally cut logs. Its appliances, etc., worked fine. The managers were very nice and helpful. The resort has an outdoor swimming pool, which was unheated but nice, and a covered hot tub, open 24 hours. We were close to both. We stayed during the week in August, and had very few neighbors. THE PROBLEM: The cabin is infested with mice. A few ran across the living room during the day, but at night they came out in force. They attacked the shelf where our food was, chewed a hole in a bread wrapper and ate a good-sized chunk of the loaf. So if you go, bring your cat!
