My friends and I pre-booked an evening at The Lodge. Centrally located at The Cider Shed. This is a pop up event that they provided for the winter season. It's a limited time pop up bar event. You can book your table online. They allowed us to sit early. ( we tried to go to Eckerts store but it was closed for the day) parking is near the restaurant side or you can park by the store front. [[HIGHLIGHT]]this particular night they had live music which was nice![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a bit chilly in the area we sat in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The servers would get confused on our orders. They were prompt though. Granted the QR code's are located on canisters on each table. We thought they should put the table #'s ontop of the paper towel holder. It has a place to put on. You order your food via the QR code and you can add your tip that way too! Prices vary from $9-20 on items. The pickle bites were my fave. The cheese sauce wasn't too bad. It comes with apple slices, pita chips, and some bread. We definitely enjoyed the shareable food this time compared to their cozy cabin event they did the year prior. We had the most amazing experience at The Cider Shed at Eckerts, this past weekend. We attended their winter pop up - The Lodge - and it was everything it was advertised to be. They had specialty themed drinks and bites. We loved both the Chairlift Chili and the Hangboard Bacon. Our son enjoyed the Pigs In a Blanket. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor was beautiful and the staff were all so incredibly friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Our favorite part was that we could bring our dog with us! I love how dog friendly Eckerts is![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Tickets to their pop up are $5 and proceeds go to the Special Olympics- Without Limits. The ordering system is all done through a QR code at the table (you can also grab drinks at the bar), which made things convenient and fast. They have a vast menu with many shareable appetizers, meals like tacos and kids meals. So much fun! My family and I were planning on going to a winery on a Sunday afternoon, but we decided last minute to visit the Cider Shed instead. I'm so glad we did! This wasn't my first time visiting, but we had another awesome experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We picked an outdoor table near the stage area, where they had live music while we were there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There's QR code menus on all the tables, so we were able to place our order right from the table on our phones. My mom ordered a Blue Moon, my dad ordered a sangria, my boyfriend ordered a cider, and I tried the cider flight. We also shared a soft pretzel. Everything took awhile to come out, but we didn't mind. There were so many fun flavors to choose from for my cider flight. I ended up getting peach, pineapple, pink lady, and cider donut. If I had to rank them, I'd say cider donut was my favorite by far, then peach second, pineapple third, and pink lady last. They were the perfect portion sizes, too. It looks like Eckert's keeps their schedule filled with lots of fun events and things to do. After the live music ended, a game of bingo started right after. What a cute transformation for the Holidays. The Cozy Shed, which is a Pop Up of the Cider Shed at Eckert's in Belleville was still open for Valentine's Day!!! We normally do not do this "Holiday 0 but why not this year!!! We made a reservation (which costs) but really didn't need the set time they gave us as we arrived early and sat wherever we wanted!!! The Specialty Martinis were Yummy.... Salted Caramel and S'mores. We enjoyed Sliders, Mushrooms Pot Stickers, Fries and some Elk Chili. The Pot Stickers and Elk Chili were are favorites!!! The cider was very good, but for Eckert's the experience in the shed was somewhat distanced. You place your order online and the food comes to the table. The food itself was not very good. I had a chicken taco and I'm pretty sure the chicken was canned and it was a very small portion of tacos. For the price I paid I expected one of their normal oversized platters. And, my Daughter, who is a vegetarian, The menu does allow for meatless options. However when the salad came it still had bacon in it. Probably won't go back!!! read more

Eckerts - not just for apple picking anymore! They have now branched out into nightlife with music offered every weekend. The musicians and much of the audience seating are covered by a roof. Most of the seating is picnic tables so no back on the seats. It was $10 entry when we went but sure if that is consistent for every show. You are not allowed to bring in food, beverage or lawn chairs. Of course they sell food and drink there. You are allowed to bring in food or wine that was purchased in their store. The store is attached so it only takes about 2 minutes to walk over. I must say the deli sandwiches we got were really good. Service at deli was not fast but was friendly. I have to recommend the strawberry cider. Omg to die for!! In our experience the staff here (in shed not in the store ) has yet to really understand all aspects of their job. When it came to ordering drinks at the bar we were told 3 different things related to their sangria. (They didnt carry it, we could buy it by the bottle only and then it was available by the glass or the bottle). Actually the sangria was pretty good for coming from a bottle. Went to the "Cozy Cabin" pop up this past weekend. It was super cute! Tons of themed drinks and some yummy themed food too! To see the menu you scan the QR code at the table. This is the second time in 3 years that we've eaten there. You order from a QR code and pay ahead of time, including tip. The service is no better than going to a counter to order so why tip? The first time I got food poisoning and this second time was "ok". The food was tasty but not impressive in any way. The avocado salad was small and not interesting. St. Louis Bread company has far better and bigger salads for the $. The service is next to non existent despite being the only ones there. No checking up if you need anything. This was my first visit to the Cider Shed. The inside was cute/modern, with various types of seating from tables to high tops to couches. There were QR codes at the table for ordering or you could order at the bar if you preferred to start a tab. I had the the blackberry cider on happy hour ($3.5), holiday themed Flights & Bites ($26), and had a few bites of my friend's happy hour brisket nachos ($8). Was impressed with the cheap drinks at happy hour! I ended up enjoying the cider more than the cocktail flights. The cocktails were all a bit too sweet for me and the one tasted like a Wendy's frosty...not sure if it had booze at all. All of the little tastes of the apps were good- I particularly loved the buffalo cauliflower and the mushroom dumplings. If I went back I'd definitely order the dumplings! We love coming to Eckerts!! We usually visit the restaurant every time we make the trip out here. This time we decided to visit the Cider Shed this time. The space is open and comfortable. Plenty of tables to handle a crowd. Table service is via QR code. Placing an order is quick and easy. Your drinks and food are promptly delivered to your table. We came out today for blackberries, so a blackberry cider was fitting. Crisp, delicious, and not too sweet. We ordered several appetizers for the table to share. We did pretzels and cheese, two orders of fries (the seasoning is ahh-mazing!), brisket nachos, shiitake mushroom potstickers. Everything was absolutely delicious. The standouts were the fries (see above comment), and the shiitake mushroom potstickers. We have a vegetarian in our group. Great upgrade to Eckert's offering a new space to enjoy food, drinks, and live music in an open air format. They have an indoor bar and a couple of outdoor bars as well. There was plenty of seating and heaters to make it comfortable to sit outside when it's chilly. They also had some yard games and a new walk up cider donut and custard shop. Like many restaurants now they have QR codes at each table to order and have it brought right out to you instead of waiting in line at the counter. They had several cider options available and they tasted crisp and fresh. I don't like cider that ends up too sweet tasting like candy. Love, love, LOVE the cider flights! When I went, the pairing was salsas & cheese fondue, all of which were GREAT! I like their ciders and want to come back for OTHER pairings. They change it up all the time, and that definitely pulls ME in! They usually offer one sweet and one savory pairing, and the cost is $20. My one complaint is that you have to pay out, each time you order something. That's a pain, but I understand why they have to do it that way. I'll bring CASH next time! read more

This is one of many pop-up bars that I've gone to in the last few months called the Cider Shed. I had read about this place, and it says it will give you the feeling as if you were in a cabin and I couldn't have picked a more perfect day to go because as we pulled up to go inside it started to snow so that really gave it the feeling of being in the mountains on a snowy day nestled up in a cabin, it had a cozy little fire place, the walls had the animals mounted the ambiance was great, once we were seated there was a QR code you scan to order drinks and food that was brought to the table before you could blink an eye. The menu was not overwhelming at all, so it took me no time to decide on the Salted Caramel White Russian and fries, which were both pretty tasty. My friend couple who we dined with ordered spicy cauliflower, brisket nachos, and elk chili, I don't know how good the chili was as I did not try it but the other food items were delish. We tend to go to Eckert's once a year or so. This year we noticed the new addition to the complex. The Cider shed is a smaller building that offers take away food. It has an open area seating area with picnic benches adjacent to it. There is also a stage with live music in this open air event space. It was a fun, almost cool venue and something I didn't expect at an apple orchard. It is definitely a nice treat for parents to sit down for some food, a drink, and music after taking your kids out into the fields. read more

Went there for brunch with friends. I ordered the breakfast with a coffee. The eggs were cold and the coffee was watery. My friend's waffles were also cold as were her eggs. Not worth the $16 i paid for my meal. The waitress was very rude to me when she asked if anyone wanted more coffee (i was the only one who ordered coffee) i said sure and when she went to pour made the comment "you didn't even drink any at all." I had hoped this batch of coffee wasn't watery and could have done without the comment. The coffee was still watery and bad.
