Beautiful space at this winery. The landscape is awesome, nice pond with a giant swan gliding around the water. Lovely property for a stroll. Dog-friendly area right by the water. The inside is pretty spacious as well. Nice bar for the wine tastings. The wine is pretty good, lots of sweet and dry options. The wine slushies were my favorite. The strawberry wine was delicious, tasted like fruit juice more than wine. If you like a dry wine this may not be the best spot for you. We did not get food but it smelled and looked yummy. The staff was wearing masks but almost no patrons were, and socially distancing was not enforced which made us a bit uncomfortable. Not sure what the local ordinances are but IMO there were too many people close to each other. Everyone looked like they were having a great time, though.

This winery has been in my neck of the woods for a few years.. we finally made a trip now that Illinois is slowly coming alive!!! All I can say is make the trip to this place. You will not be disappointed. They make their own wines.. The Rose' was by far our favorite!! You can bring in your own food and water is free!!! They had Live music and view and weather couldn't have been better!! They are always booked for Weddings and Parties and I can now see why!!! **the were not offering tastings at this time but Kevin was very helpful in directing us to a wine we would enjoy!!!

We visited on a beautiful fall day. They could not have been nicer or more welcoming. When we arrived they took time to explain the wines they ma oh e and understand what our preferences were. They then used that information to help us find a wine perfect for our afternoon. We sat on the patio by the water and listened to the live music. The space is beautiful, the people were amazing and it made for a relaxing Saturday afternoon.

This place has what most wineries need - wines to suit everyone's tastes. Personally, I'm a dry red drinker, but I enjoyed almost every wine I tasted, including the sweet stuff. I was surprised to see they had a great tasting wine for those who prefer dry to the semi-sweets all the way to the sweet ones. That's an exceptional selection! We arrived when the place was hopping with a couple big parties on buses, but heard Shannon giving a tasting later in the afternoon when there wasn't such a crowd. For those who love wine and are interested in the grapes and process, find the time to do a tasting with Shannon. I was a little sad I missed the story behind the wines when we did our tasting. Regardless, the scenery was incredible and the wines were fantastic. You gotta Love a place where they treat you like family, even on your first visit!

This place started out as a house that they bought at an auction to get away from the city and fish on the weekends. Poor Michelle and Kathy can't even tell you the last time they got to go fishing. This place evolved more out of necessity. Two sisters bought the place and slowly turned it into a tasting room. At first they only focused on Illinois wines, and they still only have Illinois wines. Next they added micro brews. Yesterday they had 8 different beers on tap, plus bottles of domestic beers. The food menu is limited, because they don't really have an industrial sized kitchen. They offer a cheese plate, which is very tasty. Yesterday I had the bruschetta, OMG delicious and bonus the tomatoes were grown in their own garden at the Courtyard. They have expanded the courtyard and added a room (which was originally an old barn) Next season they are going to start making their own wines. This place is nestled right on the Kaskaskia River. They are only open on the weekends Friday night through Sunday night. This time of the year, they have a fire pit going, and this is free of charge. The locals bring then wood. You will enter as a stranger but leave as a friend. This is must see place.

They have a small inside area with a bar where you can sample some wines and make your purchase. There is a HUGE outdoor area with a covered section of tables and other tables that overlook the grapes. The view is amazing! They also had live music outside which added to the vibe. I got a wine flight and honestly didn't really enjoy the ones I picked which is why this is a 3.5/5 for me. The location, the view, the knowledgeable and friendly staff all make this a worthy spot to visit. Even though I didn't enjoy the wines because everything else was great I will be back to try another round of wines.

There are lots of seating options outside. On the day we visited, there was live music in their large heated tent. In terms of wine, their offerings include dry, sweet and sparkling wines plus gluten-free sangrias and ciders. Servers were very knowledgeable and helpful getting us some selections that they thought we would enjoy (including samples to help us make a choice). There are curated flights of 4 for $10 or you can create your own customizable flight for $12. The wine was okay (the Chambourcin was my favorite). We really enjoyed their canned sangrias and brought some home. Their cider is excellent as well. You can bring your own picnic, which we appreciate since we have food allergies. There were lots of snacks for purchase, plus hot food. Dogs are not allowed (except service dogs). Plenty of parking right outside their main building.
