It was in walking distance from our hotel (The Mayfair) so that was really convenient. The district overall is super cute and has everything you may need. We called ahead and set an appointment for two pedicures, and even confirmed before getting off the phone that they had the time to fit 2 people in. However, upon arrival only one lady was available. They immediately gave us attitude when we insisted that we needed two spots, but obliged. They don't have you sit in the big, comfy pedicure chairs either. Just regular "dining" chairs for lack of a better word, and a rolling "foot stool" to prop your feet on. For someone with hip issues, like myself, it was extremely uncomfortable having to prop one leg at a time on this foot stool that was at the height of the pedicurist's eye level. Oh yeah...make sure you don't wear a dress/skirt here. As far as soaking goes, it's just the little pedicure tub you can buy at your local Walmart. My polish was sloppy and they didn't even bother rubbing the lotion in all the way. I didn't feel like the cost matched what you get in the slightest, but after all they provided a service and I'm not one to give you $0 for your time..so I paid and went on about my day. I just know I won't be back.

I sat down and decided to go with a different color even though it's not what I wanted and endured a painful, I non relaxing pedicure. No massage.. She cut my nails too short and not the best paint job. I don't know why but this place never seems to be great.. it's always just average and if you don't speak Spanish you may not get what you're looking for. Also, they don't do acrylic so don't expect to get a refill or any kind of care for your current acrylic if you have them.

They make you feel right at home. The private rooms for services are extremely sterile and clean while still giving a relaxing atmosphere. Unsanitary & poor quality. I hate leaving negative reviews,…read morebut I don't want anyone else to go through the unsafe & unsanitary experience I did. #1: Don't double dip the wax stick!!! When you consistently use the same stick to wax an area and then dip it back into the wax pot, you can transfer bacteria & disease into the wax that will continue to live as it is a warm environment. This it is possible to transfer herpes from someone getting a bikini wax onto someone's lip from using the same contaminated wax pot. The solution: use a new wax stick each time you dip into the wax pot! No cross contamination!! (And yes, I got off the table with only half a lip wax). #2: Cutting open skin while getting a pedicure. Ok, it can happen, but clean it & disinfect it when it does. Don't continue to pour chemicals (callous remover, exfoliating scrub, lotion) into the open wound! It burns & hurts & again, can lead to infection! All of this is assuming the instruments used during the pedicure were sanitary to begin with. In hindsight, I would have happily paid double the price, somewhere else (and I will next time), to avoid the discomfort, pain, and exposure to bacteria & infection due to sloppy practices. The thing that caught me the most off guard - they all seemed like it was no big deal or concern. Scary!! Someone could get very sick or worse because of their practices and conduct. If you don't know how to properly protect your clients from infection, bacteria, or unsanitary conditions, you need to further educate your team. Beware if you come here - keep your eyes open and stop services before you end up sick or hurt!

I also inquired about the coffee body scrub I saw displayed in the waxing/sugaring room. Gisela kindly explained to me that one should first shower with soap before applying the moisturizing and exfoliating scrub. I am glad she explained that to me since, all these years, I have been using scrub before showering with soap and have been losing the full moisturizing benefits of the scrub. Moreover, Bia, gave me great first time customer discounts on my waxing/sugaring and informed me of a membership program whereby I would pay an initiation fee of $9.99, $45 a month to get a full bikini wax and 10% off of any additional waxing/sugaring services. I found out too that they also offer laser hair removal services as well as hydra facials, microdermabrasion and various natural facial peels. I will definitely be back for more waxing/sugaring services. I came back to have my facial hair waxed. Nicole, a young American girl shaped/tidied my eyebrows and waxed the hair on my upper lip and chin. She carefully and skillfully removed ingrown hairs that could not come out with the wax with assorted tweezers. She recommended that I buy and use a roll-on serum they sell to exfoliate skin and prevent ingrown hairs if used 3 times a week. I did. I just went for the third time to Nature Hair Removal & Skin Care. Gisela gave me a full body wax and I feel like a new woman with smooth and silky skin! Also, following her advice to exfoliate with the coffee body scrub has had great results, I have fewer ingrown hairs, my skin is easier to wax and my skin is also smoother!

The salon is small but always clean, and they are constantly busy, so be sure to book ahead. Prices are very fair for the quality of service you receive. I get a gel manicure and regular pedicure, and my nails typically last three, sometimes even four weeks, which is crazy. My nails have never been so long and healthy. As an extra touch, they serve Cuban coffee, which I absolutely love. If you are looking for an affordable, clean salon with great customer service, this is your place.
