Omg I haven't done my monthly visit here in awhile. ECO Thrift always have three different discount color tags , one for 25%, 50%, & 75%! I came here just to browse because I always find good quality and sometimes brand new name brand items. The cashiers work extra hard to keep the checkout lines down. The clothes are organized to their best ability by sizes, women's, men's, infants, children's, youth, electronics, toiletries, and boutique. I even found new toys for my fur babies I truly believe this place is a hidden gem located in San Bernardino. And yes they have very friendly security guards who tell you, "Hello how are you" "Thank you." The workers walking around filling up the racks with more goodies. They don't mind answering questions, concerns and lots of patience with unruly children. Parking lot is kinda of unlimited and shared with another business next door but I always have a way to park! Come in and visit it's not bad at all and guarantee you will find something good! read more

Good Luck with customer service onsite. Store is hit and miss like many thrift stores but if theres any issues with purchase you're screwed. You can come back with receipt and get the run around. They didn't remove a security device I bought from there. Both the cashier and guard knew me from Purchase. The manager came down seen my receipt and lied and said I didn't get shirt from there. This stores prices are outrageously ridiculous. I don't know who prices things or what their policy is for pricing but it definitely is a rip off. I was in the checkout line paying when the employee stated they couldn't sell me an item that I was literally checking out and paying for. They stated it was priced wrong ($15.99 was the price on the tag and it was a sale color tag) and their policy is to not sell the item. She stated it would need to go to the back to be repriced and wouldn't be back on the floor for sale until the next day. I even went as far as to speak with a manager to request it be priced so I could purchase but they refused. The manager said it will be back on the floor first thing tomorrow for sale. So I left and a few hours later I was in the area again and decided to go back and just try and see out of curiosity. To my surprise there it was back on the floor just 3 hours later and now priced at $26.99!!!! I was so confused and couldn't believe it. So not only are they blatant LIARS when they stated it was their policy for it to be taken off the sales floor and not to be sold until the next day but they also have no rhyme or reason for pricing items. They just get to pick and choose when to not sell something because they don't feel it's priced high enough. I also saw a men's designer button up priced at $104.99 like what!!! The new self checkout helps to increase the speed of what was once a long line. The technology is a bit clunky and weird but I think I get it now-- if you're using a debit card, it's quicker to choose "credit". When I choose "debit" it declines. They had an actual security guard at the door this time. He was very attentive and cordial. Something bad must have happened for them to hire security. There are still plenty of staff directing traffic at checkout. I prefer to shop upstairs, as downstairs is just overcrowded with shoppers in the clothing aisles. I don't usually write reviews but this definitely needs to be said. I saw some womens cowboy boots and when I checked the tag, they wanted $36. The brand was MaddenNyc which is sold at Walmart. I looked on the Walmart website and the exact same shoes are $25 new on their site. Besides their shoes, most of their merchandise was on the high side, maybe even more than Goodwill prices. read more

As of today, just when I was about to come in an older man came out with the alarm going off and I was almost pushed by lost prevention. Shortly after, I went to check out with a lawn mower and needed some help with taking it to my car. Most workers didn't want to assist us except for Joshua, who did it out of kindness's which I do appreciate. The woman with the red hair wasn't of any help and was very rude. Been shopping there 40 years and my girls love to come to this store when they are in town. This store has many wonderful memories for me. Ms Lynn and Mark were nice to be around and very helpful. She was a long-time employee and a wonderful person who would help you find the sizes and show you where things were. The store has had many changes and was so sad to see the books no longer there and the checkout has changed but the finds are still great for me. The ticket changing color is exciting with half off and so on. I look forward to every visit. read more

Wow, don't let the area or looks on the outside deceive you, it was a lot better than I expected. They have aisles of both clothing & shoes for all ages. Prices varied from ridiculously cheap to ridiculously overpriced- the latter being $50 for example. You can spend that & more for brand new, never opened or touched shoes. But it's still worth a looksy. Two stories, home & sporting goods upstairs and bottom dedicated to ropa & zapatos for entire family. Jewelry is Ofcourse in glass case, as well as certain items were behind register, for security reasons. Parking lot on side & back of store & limited street parking. They close the dressing rooms an hour prior to closing and hours during week goes up to 7pm. The one female cashier who waited on us was friendly but the other one working across from her looked sort of mean. The same pet peeve as with all thrift stores & everything cheap for people who are struggling and or just like to spend a lot less (like me) is that you have all walks of life, all kinds of peoples & all kinds of manners to none. Weirdness & creeps exist too. With a hint of strong potent BO aroma that'll make your nostrils flare wide open! Just be aware of that and have a strong attitude as this is not for the faint at heart. I've been shopping here for a while now. Every time I come here I find something to buy. I'm into vintage items and they have a good amount of it. The only thing I don't like is that they close the fitting room an hour earlier than closing time. If the store is open it should be open. read more

I went today, Friday March 29, 2024 and was treated poorly by three of the women who work there and one male. This message is for the new owner, please check in with your employees and make sure they are being respectful to your customers. I do not appreciate having a male employee standing within arms distance behind me (within 12 inches, standing right behind me looking at everything I was doing) while I check out. If you don't trust people to ring up their own merchandise then why install self checkout in the first place? I feel like my personal space was violated. I felt like he was just checking to see I don't steal any jeans. Or maybe he was waiting to take the alarm sticker from the jeans but he could have communicated that to me and didn't have to stand and leer at me so awkwardly. I felt so uncomfortable. I have been going to Echo Thrift for many years and go at least once a week. I can show proof that I have been a paying customer all these years. I honestly feel like you should just bring back the regular cash registers and cashiers so that normal law abiding people like me don't feel we are being treated like criminals during self-checkouts. Nor do I appreciate my personal space being violated by a male during self-checkouts. Also, there are two Latina women who work there that were being rude to me. One of them kept following me around and giving me terrible looks. Both these women were in charge of putting back clothes. Once I was ready to go checkout, one of them was there looking at me along with another lady who seems to be the manager. It wasn't friendly and I didn't feel right. I asked them "why are all three of you starring at me as I check out. Do you think I am going to steel something?" The manager lady responded in a negative ghetto tone, "we are not looking at you, we are looking at everybody!" Wow, what a way to treat loyal customers who use their hard earned money to actually purchase things from Echo Thrift. Again, what is the point of putting up self-checkout if you so highly distrust people and want to just be hovering over them like they are going to steal from you. Just go back to the old days where you had employee cashier managing checkouts, please. This is too much and it is very stressful. I would rather wait in long lines that have to go through this hell. I don't know what is happening at Echo Thrift. But this has not happened to me in the more than 10 years I have been shopping there. I really do hope the owner views this message and does something to change this negativity, distrust, maltreatment of loyal customers, and personal space violations that are happening at Echo Thrift. It was never like this before. Seriously, I go there mainly to destress from work and enjoy shopping there for all the deals as a form of retail therapy. I really don't want it to turn into a negative experience going there so please make changes in the work culture because the unprofessional employee behaviors is not acceptable and should not be tolerated by anyone. read more

It's so much bigger then it looks on the inside! It has a really large clothing section and art selection as well, but the best part for me was the jewelry counter. Two counters with some good vintage pieces and all for a really good price. Found a Monet set here in perfect condition, and the ladies up front are really friendly and patient. So I came in at 3:00pm on 01/19/2024 with my kids and their baby..I don't even know where to start..their prices are extremely high..their women's jeans are the same prices as Ross, which I would rather go to Ross.. Their wallets again same price as Other stores..a thrift store charges what you can get bran new elsewhere..the supervisor in charge accused my kids for stealing only because their diaper bag looked like a regular bag so the supervisor assumed my kids were doing something suspicious and sent the security guard to check us.. We immediately opened the bag so they could see nothing was going on.. we told the security guard how we understood there is a lot of theft in that area but instead of assuming they could of simply asked To just look or keep the bag upfront.. I felt as if my Kids were being discriminated against because their young and again their diaper bag looked different.. the security guard even told my kids how his supervisor has never done what she did to my kids to anyone else.. read more

I came into the store about 15 mins before closing. I knew exactly what I was looking for and knew they were closing soon. I just wanted to see if they had it and I was going to come back the next day. The lady yelled we close in 5 mins when I walked in... I said ok and just started walking up and down the aisle in search for what was in my head. They sent a security guard to come get me and asked me to leave... I wasn't going to hold them there I just wanted to see if coming back was worth my time..... It's not. I have them 2 stars because the store was cute and organized. Very cute store. used to love this place it was campy and full of fun to shop with awesome prices and never knew what you would find among the crowded shelves. No more. I went in today and it has been redone and most of the merch is gone there were actually bare shelves. It used to be such wonderful pricing especially on baby clothes I felt they were doing the young parents a huge favor. I went in today it was shocking. The pricing has quadrupled. I guess it was good while it lasted. Not a fan of self checkout either. On to other thrift stores for me. The staff used to be cheerful and now they look so sad. read more

The thrift store itself is pretty good in my opinion. Out of the 2 times I've been here I manage to find some decent gems. However... The reason why I'm not giving this place a 5 star is because the management SUCKS! the manager has a terrible attitude and for some reason every time I go and purchase something, they ALWAYS forget to put something in the bag. This happened to me in the 2 times I've been here. For example today, I had bought a hat and I had to drive back all the way from Moreno Valley to the store, just to pick it up. Eco Thrift is a large thrift store similar to the likes of Goodwill: large sized and filled with "junque" -- although it's possible to find a lil treasure to buy, you'll have to do some MAJOR digging to find it! It looks like junk at first sight, but that's the case with many donation-based thrift stores like this. The most redeeming aspect of this place were the prices: affordable & usually discounted, depending on the color tag sale for that day. They've got a wide range of items: clothing for everyone (a LOT of it), toys, bedding, electronics, books, sports gear, home decor, housewares, shoes, accessories and jewelry. Everything is organized into two floors to explore! The first floor has all the shoes, clothing, accessories/jewelry, and bedding. The second floor has toys, sports gear, house decor, electronics and books (although their book section is lacking). There is a dressing room available, but I wouldn't suggest trying anything on unless absolutely necessary. The clothing itself smells just like the store... like an old, musty garage sale. And the employees were just as the previous reviewer wrote, just painfully awkward. No one was particularly nice at all & a majority seemed to ignore the customers browsing. In just one visit I've witnessed: no greeting at the door, no smiling back at customers, and not even an "excuse me" to get around other patrons. So no one was outwardly rude/mean, but that was some weird customer service. So if you're an avid thrifter who doesn't mind to dig through junk and get a lil dirty, check Eco Thrift out for it's painless prices! But it's onlygetting 3 stars for the customer service, lack of cleanliness & not really sorting through donations since a lot was junk. Only redeeming quality: reasonable prices. read more

This is by far the BEST thrift store I have ever gone to. I always recommend Eco Thrift San Bernardino to all my friends and family. Coming from a large family, I grew up a "thrift shopper". Now my kids Thrift shop too. I've been to many different thrift shops in California and when I'm out of state, I like to check out thrift shops in the area I'm visiting. But I can honestly say that Eco Thrift is my #1 choice in thrift stores. They have a wide variety of items to chose from, they have great customer service, and It is very clean and organized too. But the best part is that have great prices and you can even get huge discounts on their colored tag on discount days. Oh, and you can always find different items stocked. They always have a fresh inventory to chose from on a weekly basis. I've been coming to this thrift store for over 15 years! Love it and HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT to anyone! Great thrift store, lots of cool and interesting items. I think the prices are a bit high for a thrift store though, especially being in San Bernardino. A big problem is their staff of guys who openly talk about reselling items on eBay. I hear all the time customers asking them if they're allowed to buy and they say not while working but they come back off shift and buy the items. It's not good practice to openly talk about this "side business" the employees engage with in front of customers. It's almost obvious that all the highly desirable items are priced way too high and my guess is they wait until the items are marked down and then they come in and buy them before customers have the chance. Only thrift I've ever been to where the employees openly talk about reselling their own items on eBay. It's just not a good look. I LOVE THIS STORE. Unlike other reviews I did not feel the area was sketchy or that the store smelled bad. Just lock your car and you're good. It was well organized and well ventilated. I was able to snag a very cute rockabilly/retro dress for $1.99 and 75% off of that. Almost everything was on sale... One color tag was 25% off, another 50%, another 75%. I snagged myself the dress, 2 beautiful plates, a teacup, a pin, and 4 tiny unicorn figures. I spent under $7 dude and I felt like I made out like a bandit. I was so pleased with the prices and selection especially of dishes and scarves. There are a lot of retro and vintage things here if you are looking for mod or 70's. Lots of milk glass and glassware. Check behind the counter in the back for the really neat stuff. I saw Garfield and Ziggy cups back there, wooden Russian dolls, China cats, teacups and saucers, etc. Leave the kids at home for this one. This is a good store for adults to come alone to browse for old things but not for kids/families IMHO. If you are looking clothes for kids older than babies, not a great selection. I did not see children's toys or books. That may be on purpose. Not a kid-friendly store here at all... Half the store is fragile and breakable items! Take the kids to Deseret or Savers. Not any home decor or art that isn't dishes/glass/ceramics. There are lots of women's size S and M but not much above that. Loooots of women's shoes and handbags. I even saw some "ruby slipper" shoes in my huge ass size. I was shocked. Lots of jewelry. Unlike another reviewer I had no trouble or attitude from the dressing room lady. I clearly showed her I had 3 items when going in and going out. No big deal and she was polite. Shawna helped me at the counter and she was so. So. Patient. With. Me. I am a cheapskate and she was so polite and friendly even though I was asking her to let me see a few things I decided not to buy. I noticed there were customers she greeted by name. A few elderly male customers who seemed a bit strange or lonely were trying to chat her up and she remained polite and conversational without being rude or ignoring them. Like chatting about the weather or the merchandise. I think that is a difficult skill to master. I don't have too much of that skill. One reviewer and photo mention that there is an upstairs. Other than that, I found some good stuff here; I was only looking at clothing, and didn't have much time to see what else was there, but it looked promising. The surrounding area may look alittle rough.. but you'll be ok. They've got lots of cool stuff hidden around in this store, mostly upstairs and in the boutique section. Gotta dodge a few strollers sometimes, but store is still pretty cool, lots of hidden gems in here. Only things I dislike, is how they get a marker and slash right down the middle of some of the records and video tapes.. totally ruins the cover art & sometimes you can't rub it off without damaging the item. Also some of the clothing down there is over priced, usually that's the cheapest thing at a thrift store. So best to get that stuff when they have a discount sale going. read more

Love this place! My favorite thrift store of all time! I always find awesome stuff here. I always come home with a treasure. Thursdays and Mondays they have things for an extra discount, but everyday things are 25, 50,or 75% off. Every month or so they have a store-wide 50%. The prices are great! Here are some of my recent finds: Brand new UCLA jersey $7. my new favorite women's boots $10. Vases .50 cents. Board games with all the pieces $1.50. Set of curtains for my living room $6.
