Yessssss! This place is what thrifting is all about! Great prices! Interesting selection of donated goods, you never know what you are going to find! The staff is a bunch of older volunteers and just listening to them operate the cash register is enough to put a smile on your face all day. They remind me of a group of kids playing pretend shop :) Wish they had better hours, they are always closed when I want to go. But I feel so lucky when I get to go!! read more

This is my favorite place to shop. I buy lots of craft items books and other things there . The people who work there are so nice and they welcome you and have nice conversations with customers. Also it's well kept and clean as a pin. The items they sell are clean beautiful clothes. They have a boutique that offers stylish clothing and some are new and everything is in great shape . Every area has something for everyone. The prices are reasonable and some very affordable for the customers. The proceeds help children get dental work who can't afford a dentist . I am a customer who goes there every week. It's my first store I visit on Thursday. read more

What a great, little store. I had so much fun shopping here. And, the volunteers were so kind. Although the store is small, there are a lot of really nice items: High-end, boutique clothing; nicer housewares; good selection of this and that. I found 2 really nice jigsaw puzzles for only 75c each, and a wonderful book for 50c, among other things. There is quite a collection of fabric remnants, perfect for quilting. Take your time looking around, and don't miss the anteroom with the books and furniture. Lots of free parking in the lot behind the store. When traveling, I always search out Assistance League thrift stores as they're everywhere, always clean, interesting stores, and I can get behind their causes. read more

I have also been on the receiving end that I needed help for my kids school clothes & I have been helped for Xmas gifts. Once I was homeless & they gave me a motel voucher. I've come here a few times and the volunteers have always been nice and welcoming. But TODAY, a volunteer I'm guessing she's new cause I've never seen her the times I've been there, literally came right behind me and my mother (without saying excuse me) and took a 50 CENT ORNAMENT out our basket and said "you took something of mine. this is mine" and left. I was so shocked by her rude attitude that I wish I've could of told her something at that moment. Too bad I didn't know her name, I would of posted it for buyers to beware of this particular lady. If she saw something why didn't she leave it in the back or better yet, look for things in her own time instead of during her "volunteering" time? But rather this rude lady had to shove her way and take a 50 cent ornament out of our basket. If I see her again, I will not be returning. Hurts me to say but I hope someone does the same thing to her. read more

This is a most unique store with wonderful prices on one of a kind items, Llardo, Ralph Lauren, St John suits, couches, chairs, clothing and shoes for men women and kids. Theres A section for books, and toys. All the employees are volunteers, working to support the low cost dental center, grade school clothing though Operation School Bell. It's funny to see all the reviews about all the rude ladies that work here because that has only been my experience at this thrift shop. It's almost awkward shopping here because no one ever greets you, they just stare at you. And then when it's time to check out you just have another awkward interaction with a cranky old lady. Walked in on a Saturday afternoon 1/2 hour before closing. No greeting,no welcome, i got a "we're closing in 20 minutes by a grouchy old lady. One of the other lady followed me & my wife around the store as if we were gonna steal something or rushing us out. 10m before closing, the grouchiest old lady said to us. "You need to check out now!" Thought I was shopping at a Nordstroms, and not a thrift store. Many items are way overpriced. I will no longer donate,shop nor support the Redlands assistance league. I understand they are all volunteers and wanna go home on time. But please be tactful instead of rude. read more

Tried to donate designer suits and vintage suits. They weren't taking clothes. I had books as well. They seemed to have a lot of people there for not taking donations! I wanted to donate their because my aunt was a member of the assistance league. Will go to Salvation Army as they are always nice! read more

I used to always find something here but lately I have walked away empty handed. I like vintage sewing patterns and they used to have patterns, notions , or at least books. I have to wonder if they now have someone working there who is into sewing too and takes all the good stuff. Or maybe they are "saving" them for their sales they have. I LOVE THE ASSISTANCE LEAGUE THRIFT SHOP! They ahve a nice variety of items and and great sales. Right now (September) they are having a Halloween Special. Their Christmas Sale is so popular that an invitation is required! What I appreciate most is what the donations are spent on. They have a Dental CLinic for the needy and give low income kids money for school clothes. Every time I drop in and make a purchase, I know it is going to a good cause. read more

The Assistance League of Redlands's Thrift Shop is one of the best thrifts in the Inland Empire. The Thrift shop supports a low cost dental center, Operation School Bell where we clothe 1200 school children, Adaptive Physical Education luncheons, supply clothing to local hospitals for assault victims, and support an emotional support dog for abused children. Members of the Assistance League of Redlands include our PWR Women-Professional Women Of Redlands who have a scholarship program and Teens Be Seen program as well as our 120 Assisteens who you may have seen as ushers at the Symphony or Redlands Bowl. If you haven't visited in a year or two, we invite you to come and take a look around. See our new Boutique department. See our Halloween displays. This shop is almost like a boutique shop. They have name brands clothing in one section. Jeans, men clothing, children clothes and also babies clothes and toys. They even have dressing room for customer to try on clothes. Wood furnitures are shiny , dinning sets looking great and low price! Everyday dishes to china sets. Yes, China sets ! you be surprised to see Noritake ,fine bone china sets with a fraction of the price if you shop in antique shop. They must have someone very talented or might have own or work at a flower shop before and now volunteer here, because there are many beautiful flowers arrangements, silk flowers in beautiful vases ! Prices are very reasonable and I love the place. Why didn't I find the Assistance League of Redlands thrift shop earlier? The ladies working at the front store are always nice and helpful. I was told that all are volunteers and the revenues are returned to the community to different charity programs. I will be back and bring my friends with me. read more

This place is run by mostly white grouchy old lady volunteers. A few horrible experiences which I feel, was based on my race. Prices are iffy. They have kohls items in their boutique section priced a few dollars under retail- um haven't they heard of kohls cash? Oh they are printing the ebay auctions screen shots and pricing the items according to ebay pricing. But what they fail to realize is the items are listed at that price not SOLD at that price. Big difference! Ah well, sometimes you can find some decent deals and sometimes you can even see one of those old ladies crack a smile and wish you a good day! read more

I was recommended this place because supposedly all the "old money" of Redlands donates there. What a crock. It was filled with overpriced junk and rude volunteers. This place is awesome! It is 100% run by volunteers. 94% of the revenues are returned to the community in the various charity programs--from low (or no) cost dental care to those in need to clothing for poverty stricken school kids. My fiancé has been an antique collector for a number of years and recently I went there with her to their Vintage and Art Sale. She found what she said was antique glass, china and pottery and bought a few items for what she claims was a fraction of their worth. The ladies were attentive and pleasant and on that day graciously served hors de oeuvres. I read on the website that all proceeds from the stores sales go to community service projects like a low-cost Dental Center located in the same building and clothes for Redlands school kids in need so it seems the money stays local. It was a nice place, a nice event and we'll be going back. read more

I was taken aback when buying a pair of reproduction salt shakers which were marked $4.00 a set, the cashier said," That will be eight dollars." I showed her the sticker, '4.00' set. She said their price sticker did not work to be able to write EACH. I told her then you should have input '8.00' set. I told her NOT A DEAL and walked out. CROOKS!!! read more
