Clean but sparse. Looks like it is more for long term stays has a mini kitchen but no utensils. For an overnight stay it was fine.

Biggest bang for my buck I've spent lodging wise. Room was clean, staff was friendly and the breakfast was pretty good.

My first floor room was near the entrance and breakfast area but I was pleased with the short distance.

Not bad if you don't mind disgusting accommodations and dishonest employees…read more We arrived on 06/18/2026 and Millie (at the front desk) was very nice when she checked me in. But after we saw the room and wanted a refund... not so nice. The photos show what this room was about (even though we didn't take that many photos). Stained/dirty bedding and shower curtain, and deteriorated blankets. It's too bad because the bed was very comfortable. When I asked Millie for a refund, she refused, so we went across the freeway to the Best Western Plus, where we've stayed before (and I kick myself for not going there first this time). After we checked in at the Best Western, Millie calls me (which showed up on my phone as a Joplin, Missouri phone number), and tells me that because the charge was through Expedia, I have to cancel the reservation through them and then she would reverse the charges. She said she would have told me that, but I left too quickly? That seemed hard to believe, and it proved untrue when, after I did cancel the reservations through Expedia, I thought I'd wait for the charges to be reversed on our credit card. After waiting 11 days and seeing no credit, I called the Millie at the Burlington, CO number and she said that because the reservation was not cancelled in advance, there won't be a refund. Why in the world would she tell me to cancel through Expedia if she never intended on refunding the money? All I can chalk it up to is dishonesty. I then tried to dispute the charges with my credit card company, but since I had signed the paperwork at Chaparral Motor Inn, all they had to do is show that to my credit card company and the dispute was halted. My advice (other than to steer clear of Chaparral Motor Inn) is to NOT use Expedia (or any other third party company), and to ask to view the room before signing anything. That may allow for a reversal of credit card charges, but it's not guaranteed.

Our room is nice and cozy. The lady who checked me in, very nice and helpful with my requests. Their "Continental Breakfast" was extreme limited. They had bagels (with no butter, jelly and cream cheese), a small selection of breakfast bars, no fruit, very little cereal, some yogurt, coffee, water, a couple bottles of orange juice, and milk. Which was more than the last time we stayed back in 2021. Not a huge selection with ones who have dietary restrictions (raises hand). The sitting area to eat is very clean and refreshing. Coffee definitely hit the spot this morning. But, for the Choice Brand of hotels, it's sub par compared to others I have stayed at. Staff definitely friendly and inside the hotel itself is clean. Down side besides the pool being out of order and the breakfast is it's a little bit off the highway and parking. The AC definitely works to good (get cold easy but makes for great way to sleep (for the ones who love the cold). And if you are looking for a Walmart, the nearest one will be in Goodland, KS which is 25 min east of here (otherwise you would need to head way towards Denver).

I got off work next week on a Friday and I came to discover that she had locked out my boyfriend. I texted him to go pick up my mail from the front desk. She would not give it to him. she said I can't have my mail until I pay. Then when he tried to go back to the room the door was locked. She locked him out!! I got upset and went to the front desk after 5:30 when I got off work to pay her and get my mail. She charged me 453.88 again. I asked her where is my discount? She said next time. I told her there won't be a next time, since you locked out my boyfriend. She said well I thought he had a car. I said no he doesn't. Then today, Saturday, after just paying her yesterday. I get off work at 5:30 pm after working 10 hours. She come knocking on the door and ask me to leave tomorrow morning. I told her. I just got off work after working 10 hours then I'm on-call all night tonight. I work 10 hours tomorrow. I work one weekend a month. I run ER lab tests if they have lab tests on an ER patient . But she said well I have a problem, and you need to leave. After her continuing to ask me to leave, I pushed her back ever so lightly so I can close the door. She said I'm going to call the cops. I then called the cops myself. The cops immediately jumped on her side since this is her property. She told them I pushed her hard out the door. They said she might charge me for harassment. I told them she is the one who keeps knocking on my door asking if we are going to stay. This is very unprofessional and rude. Please save yourself the worry and DO NOT stay here. They do not respect their customers. And I'm just here working as a traveler. I've been a traveler Med Tech for 5 years and I have never had a problem with anyone at all the past places I have stayed. I just feel picked on and singled out. Just realized they asked us to leave because of a bad Google review. You can't ask someone to leave because of that. If you own a business you have to learn a good customer service then that way you won't get negative reviews. Duuh. We left a couple days early when I finally had the time since they wanted us out. I kindly asked for a refund for 2 days. They said... No refund. Talk about VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Booked on Priceline an hour out, paying, and receiving full confirmation with email. I arrived to find the place looking so dilapidated that I thought I was at the wrong address and circled Burlington more before realizing it was my motel that I booked as the addresses matched. I parked and walked inside. It looks falling apart and untouched in years with bad lighting and no staff at the front desk. I ring the bell and a white man with many strange necklaces, covered in tattoos, and reeking of meth walks out and begins insisting I'm at the wrong place and couldn't possibly have a reservation. I insist I have one and give him my full name. He checks the computer before continuing to argue with me. Finally he says to wait and goes to the back room again. He then comes out and "finds" me on the computer suddenly with a reservation but for 4 guests, not 2 as I booked on Priceline. He also demands I pay him for the room now. I show him my phone, email, confirmation with his motel and Priceline that I paid. He laughs in my face and keeps repeating the price raising his voice to cut me off anytime I try to speak. I refuse to double pay and he laughs as I storm out. I realize I left my ID inside so I go back to retrieve it. He pretends to hand it to me and keeps moving it out of reach each time I try to grab while laughing and taunting me before finally giving it to me to leave and hurling insults at me as I exit. It took me almost an hour to stop shaking and calm down to find another nearby booking at a more reputable place Do not stop here. Stay safe out there.
