Econolodge Clinton OK Room 115 3/13/24 Young female at front desk was very organized and had my reservation information printed and ready along with key cards before I arrived. Post-it note with room number and important info. Room had only 1 towel, no coffee cups or creamers, etc. TV remote wouldn't turn off TV or control sound. Light next to bed didn't work. Outlets next to sink would only hold in coffee pot three prong. It would not hold in hair dryer plug. Shower curtain had a hole in it so the toliet and floor got wet. Toilet very small and low to floor and very loud. House keeping tried to walk in at 945am without knocking, then again at 1030am with barely a knock. Check out was at 11am. No door Hanger to notify housekeeping to do not disturb. Evening lady was helpful and found more towels and tried to switch the room but this room was cleaner than second option. Breakfast, I arrived at 745am. Breakfast is from 630-9am. Morning guy was on his phone, breakfast foods were empty, such a milk, yogurt, no fruit. Coffee ern (1 only) half full. Waffles, bagels, bread available. Also cereal. An older gentleman was getting cereal and there wasn't much milk left. I asked morning guy. He ran over filled the milk and yogurt and then went back to his cell phone. He left the large back room frig open. I brought my food to my room and came back for a little coffee and closed the frig that was still open.  Check out was fine, handed in the keys and said thank you. I usually notify them of the issues at check out but there were too many.  Did I mention that the bed was comfortable? read more

It doesn't allow me to do half a star, But this was the worth hotel I have ever stayed at. I had 2 queen beds and either could be used because the sheets on blood on this, and the mattress itself on one of the beds had a hole down it. The second bed had what looked like beers stains, at least that is what we are hoping for. I have a receipt that showed I was overcharged by $20 More drug addicts than one ever needed to see, And if you complain they will make whatever you complained worse. The man that says he owns it, is very rude and apparently didn't like the black man that is my husband. Rooms are clean. Bed is uncomfortable with a thin worn blanket that's got a flat sheet on top & bottom (guess they want you to think its a duvet). Pillows are as big as a throw pillow that is worn & lumpy. During the night, I got up to use restroom & saw a roach. Room also smells. read more

Seriously people, look at the reviews of other one dollar sign ($) hotels and don't waste another second, pick up your phone and call Econo Lodge in Clinton. My son and I were traveling cross country (Akron, OH to Long Beach, CA) and didn't want to bust our budget at a place to simply sleep. We wanted clean, comfortable and safe. I was stunned by all the crappy one dollar sign ($) places that didn't warrant a one star review. The photos of those places were as scary as the stories. Econo Lodge in Clinton was everything that we could have expected, clean, comfortable and safe. An added surprise was the congenial attitude of the staff and their breakfast. If you want some scrumptious Sunday morning brunch then look beyond Econo Lodge, but if you are okay with the basics and are looking for simple, affordable and decent then stop here. To put this all into perspective, I am a seasoned traveler and know the difference between an upscale hotel or resort and an Econo Lodge. I wasn't expecting or looking for a Marriott Marquis, I could have stayed anywhere but for 8 hours of sleep, a nice shower and a quick breakfast before hitting the road this was perfect. read more

We were looking for a pet friendly hotel late at night. Although the staff is friendly and helpful the place could use a thorough cleaning and sprucing up! The room was clean and large enough for 2 people and 3 dogs. ($10 per pet) The shower/ bath was clean and water pressure great. Breakfast was good. The halls have a strong old cigarette smell so if that bothers you, keep on going. Otherwise this is a fine place for the night. read more

I had booked a night here on my way to California through booking.com. We checked in around 9PM. The employee behind the front desk had his headphones in and we had to get his attention to help us. When we saw our room, we decided to leave. There was a cockroach on the mini fridge/microwave and then another one in the tub. We went back to the front desk, got his attention once again, and asked if he could cancel our reservation as we were going to another hotel. He told us there would be no problem and that whenever we cancelled with booking.com he would confirm it and we would get a refund. I ended up speaking with two different customer service agents for booking who said they could not reach the front desk by phone (probably because he was wearing headphones and playing computer games), so they would email them and wait for their confirmation. Fast forward two weeks and no one in management at Econo has confirmed this cancellation or refund and I was still charged $70 for the night I didn't stay there. I have once again spoken to customer service at booking today, who said they could not reach Econo by phone or email. Very disappointing experience read more

We confirmed we would need a late check in and when we arrived, the doors were locked and no one was at the front desk. We called and could not reach anyone at the front desk. We were only able to speak to someone after calling back and pressing 1 for reservations. I spoke to two different people who tried to connect and they had no luck either. Paid around $40/night. Wifi was a little hard to connect at first but once you are on, it's fast. The room is old, overall the hotel is old. The pictures you see on Yelp must be at least 10 years old or longer. I definitely didn't have a tub like that in the picture. There were hairs from prior customers on bathroom wall and it's been there despite after 4 room services that time I was there. Breakfast is mediocre. It's cereals, bagels. There were no yogurt, fresh cut fruits like pineapples, cantaloupes, grapes, eggs, potatoe, hashbrown, etc. And I had to call the guy to refill milk, and water. The hallway smells of smokes. The fitness only had treadmills. Give it a shot. The hotel staff feed the stray cats and that's very commendable. read more

Huge mistake!!!! Bed bugs infested in our room. It was late and they gave us another room. Completely disgraceful. How can you sleep now. We came here because our group picked it. I never usually attend such a low budget place. It should be free if bugs and clean. We used the conference room and it looked like the homeless was living there. Food close everywhere. Great little find! Paid $55.99 for 1 queen bed. Free breakfast. Most places that price have terrible beds & pillows. This was really comfortable. Pillows were big and fluffy and had 3 instead of the standard 2. Nice flat screen tv too. Carpet looked pretty new. Room is smaller but when you just need a place for the night, it's fine. Stayed in smaller ones in NYC. Water was hot with plenty of pressure. Towels weren't thread bare as they are at other cheaper motels. Inside corridors too. Breakfast had fruit, muffins/danishes, make your own waffles, cereal, oatmeal, juice and coffee. Standard but all we needed to eat and get back on the road. We'll put this place on our list to stay again when we drive back through! read more

Very friendly staff we arrived late they accommodated very well. We only stay for one night and they allowed very late checkout which we really needed. Tired location, can't recommend. Did not feel very comfortable here. Okay, bathroom was clean and front desk guy professionally friendly, but that's about it. Bed was quite small for two and mattress felt quite worn. Cover blanket had a cigarette burn. Room, even so non-smoking had a scent of smoke. Interesting enough not when getting there, this developed later on - just like if someone would smoke elsewhere in the building and the smoke did creep into our room as well. Maybe through the bathroom ventilation. Room does not shield you very well from surroundings. People passing by the door walking down the hallway can be heard loud and clear. Which may wake you up. People next room can be heard as well. Water used in other rooms comes through noise as well. WIFI cranky. Connecting required to get through some kind of advertising, which sometimes needed several tries. Breakfast was what one could expect from a place like this. Limited continental plus limited American with mediocre quality. Overall, I slept okay, but disliked the whole experience. Would not stay here again. read more

Friendly lady at the front desk. Room was extremely mediocre. I've seen much better, and a fair amount worse. Bathroom was not the cleanest-tub seems to be separating from the floor a bit. Very loud air conditoning unit, but that helped block some of the road noise coming in. If I had to do it again, I would request a room on the second floor-ours was at ground level and appeared to have evidence of an attempted breakin at some point (scratches near the locks on the window). This could have been the lock itself scratching the window-maybe? I wouldn't take any chances, though. read more

Was traveling back to southern California from Alabama with my wife and was turned down for a room with the excuse from the night desk clerk who was busy socializing with a few friends at a table inside , saying he had already done his night audit and would not add anyone else. There were many obvious empty rooms available. I will never stay at another econolodge again. Nor recommend them either. I would give zero stars if I could. I'm giving this hotel a 4 star rating based on the price. We travel back and forth from STL to SF often and road trip with our dog. We payed (including the 10 dollar dog fee) around 60 dollars which is great. Having stayed in many econolodges across the country this one is higher on the scale. Great place for the price! Obviously it's not a swanky hotel, but if you're looking for a cheap, clean, quiet, and friendly place to stay for a night or two this is it. Manny greeted me at 1am with a smile on his face. The room only cost $57 with tax. The continental breakfast was simple, but fresh. The rooms were small, but it didn't bother us.
