First thing is that the curtains don't close all the way on the windows. There's about a 4-ft gap and how close the curtains get. They're really just for decoration. My particular room happened to be right where the overhang is where you check in and about 3 feet outside my window was a very bright light on the overhang. It was like a spotlight shining directly into my room. Second was there was about six cars all together in the parking lot playing music and smoking weed until about 2:00 in the morning. They had no other room for me and and wouldn't do anything about the guys in the parking lot. I would absolutely never stay here again.

The cleaning crews are either lazy or are improperly trained. The floors rarely appear vacuumed. Water rings left on furniture and the vanity. Finger prints and smudges on the Mirrors. Mud on the floors. Bedding dirty. Etcetera, etcetera. To make matter worse, the HVAC in almost every room I've stayed here is noisy. Not just normal fan noise. I could sleep through that. Loud rattles, loud compressor noises. It's unfourtunate because most of the hotels I've stayed at in Griffin all have issues. This is why I usually stay in Locust Grove or PeachTree

Anyways, we booked this place through priceline.com and the pictures it provided looked decently nice. We checked into our hotel at night and the man at the front desk provided mediocre service. He didn't tell us if we got breakfast nor what the hours were, etc. we didn't even bother with the continental breakfast because it didn't look clean anyways. And for our room#120, the lights were so dim, there was dust along the walls and bed frame, there was stains under our toilet seats, rust on the shower curtain pole and door handles. The clothes hanger thing that they got there were rusty and couldn't move easily, the binder that had information about the hotel looked like it's the same binder they had when they first opened up this business. My wife and I spent about an hour just wiping the whole place down before unpacking. And to make matters worst, we saw what appeared to be small dried up blood spots on the blanket ewwww. On a positive note, the door locks and the A/C works. The parking lot is large. I didn't see security cameras or anyone that just patrols. Our next door guests were loud and we can hear them talking or their TV on because the walls are either hollow or thin. At night, it's super dark and has limited lighting. Overall, we won't be staying at this trash hotel/motel.

After four calls back and forth they only wanted to fax receipt to me; to save the 45 cents of postage. This was after I was promised to have receipt mailed. 4. No Orange Juice at the sparsely provided for breakfast area. One table and a rotten watermelon was on the table at check in and still there the next morning. 5. Walls are so thin that late night love making next door is clearly heard. Finally,, Forget this motel; it is going in one direction until new owners or a cheaper rated franchise takes over. If Super 8 puts them on probation, they will not survive franchise follow ups.

The person we spoke to on March 5 booked rooms for March 5. We corrected the person who apologized and said she would remove the charge from our card. She never did. Trying to get this resolved is more difficult than it should have been. When you call the number that you originally called, they submit a ticket and you immediately get a "DENIED" email. (Happened 3 times). Calling the front desk and speaking to a manager offers no results. They give you a number to call who sends you a "DENIED" email. We showed up on March 22, and they had only three rooms for us--even though we had confirmations for six rooms. They said they can't access the confirmation numbers because we didn't call the hotel directly to book our rooms. I told them that's a problem, because we called the number listed on their website...which was the hotel's website. We were here for an event, and there was only one person working who was so overwhelmed. I believe he actually gave us other's rooms. Then we walk in the rooms. It's old, it's dingy, there are holes in the walls, chairs are missing wheels so be careful when you sit in them, shower heads are not attached to the walls, carpets are dirty, the beds squeak every time you turn over, and the air conditioner clanked all night. The breakfast area had limited seating due to half of it being used as storage for what looked like 100 boxes of new flooring. When there is a limited area, it makes breakfast very cramped. Thankfully, after filing a credit card dispute with our credit card, we were credited back the money. We will definitely NOT be back to this Country Inn and Suites.
