We called for a room at the Comfort inn, they didn't have anything available so booked us a room here for a late night check in. The parking lot was a disaster, vehicles with their trailers were parked any which way. The room screams Econo. The light switch as you entered the room didn't work, the AC was at its lowest settings so the room was freezing the little bottle of shampoo they offered wasn't even full, the furnishings were very low budget and there was only one little piece of art work on the wall, way in thr corner. Let's just say, I'm glad we just needed a few hours of sleep and get back on the road. read more

I'm currently on a cross country road trip and every other hotel was either fully booked or not pet friendly, so we ended up staying here. I didn't want to judge a book by its cover but I was right to do so. With the $20.00 pet fee our room for one night cost $130.00. The front desk clerk was friendly and took care of me in a timely manner. After getting our room keys we walked towards our room and right off the bat I didn't like this place. All the doors looked to be in rough shape, the walls and carpet were dirty, and there was a musty smell in the air. But after driving for 12 hours those things were no big deal. Upon entering our room the musty smell definitely got stronger. It doesn't smell like they clean the place more than once a year. The first red flag for me was that my cat HATED this place. The previous night we stayed in a different pet friendly hotel in a different state and he made himself at home right away. It took him hours here to stop being so skittish and actually relax. I trust my cats opinions lol. Wanting to get comfortable, I got into bed (which smelled like baby puke after they drink a bottle of formula) and went to turn on the tv. No signal. Messed with it for about 10 minutes until finally giving up. I decided to just connect to the wifi instead. Didn't work. Okay...I guess I'll just use the restroom and go to sleep. Flushed the toilet and it wouldn't stop running. It ran ALL night. I kept the bathroom door shut and could barely hear it so I didn't end up complaining. You're probably wondering why I didn't complain at all during my stay. It's only because I really just needed a place to sleep. If I was staying more than just overnight I definitely would have compiled a list. Overall I'd only recommend this place if you are desperate for a place to stay, but try all the other places first. It would even be worth it to drive an extra 20-30 minutes to a neighboring town. read more

From the moment we walked into the room, it was sketchy. The ceiling was peeling, the carpets were dirty and smelly. The shower handle was loose, the walls had marks and dead bugs on them. There was no dog bags or decent area for them, despite allowing them. Last ditch place to stay. read more

Was told that the room that I paid for was a smoking room queen. Asked to me switch to non-smoking. Was told I had to upgrade to get a non-smoking room King. When there was only 5 cars outside! Was only there for the night so we didn't upgrade. The room had a hole on the wall (maybe a bullet hole?), the bathroom door looked like someone had punched it, the room stunk like smoke, and I found a roach in the bathroom. Recommend not bring any luggage inside this place and shake off every bit of clothing you being in before leaving! read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. It is absolutely disgusting!!! Their were parts missing to the sink (like the whole front and side) with the glue panel exposed. The smell was horrid! It had a musty mildew/mold smell. The shower wasn't even useable due to the uncleanliness. The only thing I can say that was good was that we didn't get bitten by bugs. We were on a long road trip. If everything else wasn't booked in multiple pull offs, then we would have stayed someplace else. At this rate we probably would have been better off sleeping in the car. read more

It looks fancier then the other ones from the outside but the staff sucks there was only 1 good person that worked there and it was dude at the front desk when I checked in, the rest of them don't speak any English and the cleaning lady's are in a bit of a rush, we were checking out getting our stuff together and a cleaning lady knocked on the door and we said we we're leaving and she decided to open the door herself, there was bugs in the bathroom, the tv sucked, do not recommend. read more

There were bugs crawling on our walls in the room, a stain on our sheets, and the overall vibe was off. Some weird energy was lingering in our hotel room and I rather would've slept in the car. Ended up rolling through this place on the way from Denver to Chicago. The Econo Lodge was the cheapest in the area, so me and my girl decided to save some money and give it a try. For being in the middle of nowhere the place was strangely full, but we were able to quickly check in and head to our room that was upstairs. Besides the carpet and the bedspreads being seriously dated, I don't have any complaints about this place. Everything was clean, the shower had good water pressure, the new flat screen TV worked well, and the air conditioner kept the room freezing cold just how I wanted it. Skip going to the overpriced Comfort Inn or Holiday Inn, if you're just passing through, this place is the cheapest in the area, but it doesn't sacrifice any quality for the price. read more

Rooms seemed a bit dated, but was clean, but the bathtub was stained and dirty looking. The fridge was making noises too. Was a bit noisy as our room was closer to the front desk. Also, it was funny because we stayed at an Econolodge in Kansas and they had the coffee stuff, but no coffeemaker. He had to go to the breakfast area for coffee. So, my guy mentioned it to the front desk here and he gave him a coffeemaker for the room. Weird! Guess people are taking them. read more

Was in the room for three hours and both my girlfriend and I were covered in bedbugs. My wife and I stayed here one night on our way to Michigan. Clean rooms and comfy beds. Our dog was allowed to stay for no additional charge . Friendly conversation over free waffles at breakfast time. This was so much nicer than the Econo Lodge in Salt Lake City. read more

Billed as the least expensive lodging option off I-80 in Lexington, NE, the Econolodge ranks up there with the much, much nicer spots in price, yet waaay under-delivers on cleanliness, upkeep & sense of safety. My intuition was whispering in my ear that the desk guy added, right on the spot, about $20-$30 to the actual price of the room, after detecting road weariness & highway resignation on my face and in my stooped posture. Too tired to hotel shop, I managed a meager counter: "Nothing cheaper? Google Maps, the Interwebs say this place is $65/night. That's why I stopped here." "No, this is the cheapest place. It will be $95 for a room/night," he repeated. I stared into his eyes, daring him to justify, excuse, explain his absurdly high price for a less-than-budget hotel room, in a near-dilapidated old building, resplendent with peeling paint and broken flower urns out front, just so I could at least challenge him with the LOWER room price I paid at the nearby Days Inn, which beckoned me like a Sirens call with shiny!, friendly!, and painted!, as well as a not-inedible courtesy continental breakfast on my last trip through. But, alas, deafening silence he'd begun fell between us for at least 2, 3 long seconds, as he held my gaze. His mind-meld worked. 'Curses!' I yelled in my head. "Fine," I sighed aloud. "I'll take it. I can't keep going." I'm pretty sure his lip curled in a half smirk at how easy I'd folded. Or, looking back now, it could've just been his unevenly trimmed mustache, oh, but he was good. Very, very good. And, I was very, very tired. Regardless, beware, fair travelers! Steer clear of the Econolodge in Lexington if even a whiff of exhaustion flickers in your eyes, lest you, too, be lured into, well, this place here. You'd do way better at Days Inn, Holiday Inn Express, or one of the many other places 'round here with amenities, bright decor, bolt locks and price transparency! I now shall bid you good night. Sleep, sweet slumber calls to me, and it's calling way, way louder than the presence of moldy tub grout, years-worn dirty carpet or concern over potential midnight hold-ups and deranged serial killers preying on tired, easy prey behind questionably locked doors along these halls. I trust--nay, pray!--I shall survive this place, this night, to see another day, another resting spot, with more reasonable price and nicer paint, down the great highway heading West. Due to home repairs we stayed w the hotel for little over a month. The owner was amazing! He went above and beyond to help us ! The staff was over the top w smiles and helpfulness! They made what was a very stressful time a little easier to deal with! They had breakfast every morning, they were amazing w our dog. Two girls in their late 20's road tripping across country and found ourselves in Lexington, NE. Options are limited so we went with the cheapest choice, The Econo Lodge. For a quick night's stay it worked well. It is definitely nothing fancy, but the rooms were clean and well kept, which is all that mattered to us. Extremely disappointed. I have had bad experiences with restaurants, stores, customer service, etc, in the past. . .but have never felt the need to leave a bad review. If it wasn't for the false advertisement on the hotel website, I wouldn't even be leaving a review. I read that in EVERY room, there was a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker. There are none of these. Before checking in I ran over to Walmart to grab some food to heat up. Then get in the room starving and ready for bed, only to find I can't even heat up my food. 13 hours in a car can make someone irritable and rather unsocial so the last thing I want to do at midnight is sit in the lobby and heat my food up, turns out there's not even a microwave! So now I have food that I can't eat nor refrigerate. Being a young broke adult, this was my first choice after comparing prices. Should have spent the extra $20! read more

It was a great experience for me to stay at Econolodge in Lexington NE. The price was great and rooms were nice and clean. The breakfast was also nice nothing special but it was still good for the price. I will definitely come back here again. read more
