I am not super impressed with this place. I'll start with the good... the beds were very soft and comfortable, as were the pillows. Breakfast was sufficient. Now the bad... the whole room smelled weird and the bathroom smelled very strongly of urine. The towel rack had been ripped off the wall with unpatched holes still present. Felt too gross in there to shower. And the security latch was broken. Deadbolt still worked but still didn't make me feel safe. Had to pile our luggage in front of the door to feel secure. if I could give negative stars I would. Several hours after I checked out they charged me $700. they scammed me out of $1,150 total in the month I was there and that includes what they charged after I had checked out but I finally got $700 back after gigantic efforts on my part.. They refuse to refund the rest of the money they incorrectly charged me. The air conditioner was broken in the 1st room so they moved me to another room. The fridge was broken in there. they brought a different one but the freezer part never froze anything and they never would change it. The carpets have stains all over the insides of the rooms and they smell strongly of stale cigarette smoke. The owners own 3 hotels all together, the Super 8, Days Inn and Econo Lodge, all in Lexington Nebraska. I work in construction and travel for work. i had left after I worked all day and drove several hours to Nebraska and was exhauste. I have a dachshund service animal. She is fully federally registered. I went to econo lodge first and the husband Nick refused me a room due to me having a service animal. I tried to explain the laws after saying ok that's fine but in the future you should know it is illegal to refuse service due to service animal and he said he did not care. So I went next door to days inn, not knowing the owners were the same people. Rita said I was welcome to stay but then quoted me a completely different rate which was $30 extra per day for a service animal and I was only allowed to stay for 2 days. Like with the husband, I said that's fine but in the future you should know it's illegal to do that and I explained American laws for a service animal. I did not throw any fits or get hateful with these people. I was so tired I just wanted a room not a fight. So I went to the 3rd hotel which was also owned by the same people. I did not know that yet. i spent a month at super 8 and I. that month, only one week was I charged correctly. every single week other than the one week, I was over charged and all they will tell you is they have fixed it and you should wait on the money but the money doesn't come. If you get a refund it's very likely to only be a partial refund. I would never stay here again considering it cost me an extra weeks worth of money after I had checked out and they refuse to pay me back. They keep saying they have paid me and on their end of things it shows we are even. since their systems are so trustworthy, there is no way her records could be wrong even though it is the exact same system that charged me all these charges. I even sent these people screenshots of my bank account showing the charges and where I only got a partial refund but they absolutely refuse to see that the math does not add up correctly and I have not been refunded. It's been a nightmare to get my money back. read more

The price is ridiculously high for this run down shack of a hotel. It took almost an hour to check in, one room wasn't even cleaned, trash everywhere and beds not made. The other room didn't have TV working, rooms smell bad. And although the website said 75 per night he tried to charge 127 each room, after threatening to leave he came down 100. I do not recommend this hotel. For that price I could stay at the Hilton and have a clean room to stay in. Staff was nice but this place is a rip off read more

Place was disgusting. Room and pillows smelled of cigarettes. Someone was cooking in their room across the hall then found bugs on us while we were sleeping. When I told the manager at the front desk all he said was we will look into it. Do not stay at this hotel read more

Here's the thing...even though it's a Super 8 and doesn't have to be great for overnight stays, it still needs maintenance, like the room not stinking, the upstairs hallway not stifling and the odor of mildew not heavily present. Simple stuff. Every single negative from my last review still applies but on the second floor, is amplified, so what is a minor irritation on the first floor becomes a series of major annoyances up one flight. Bottom line, they lose a star for this as the convenience of it to I-80 does not mitigate enough all the other stuff, such as no ice machine upstairs at all. In fact, probably will not be using this as a stayover spot again after this year...just too many compromises for the town as well, in which nearly everything not only closes early, but WAY early, problems for travelers which are not offset at all by the hotel which had managed to badly skid in 1 year's time...one final note, of which to beware...there is a fairly large pig farm due West of this hotel along I-80 but not real far. What I mistook for a livestock trailer instead is prevalent, particularly when there is a westerly wind, which is often. Can I give ZERO stars? This place had a bed. That's good. That's about the only good thing I can say about it. We paid WAY too much for this crap-hole. We waited 30 minutes to check in. Seriously, how hard is it to check guests in? The room was tiny and dark. The walls are paper thin. We could hear everything our next door neighbors were saying. You could also hear the people upstairs walking around. Pretty sure we got zero sleep because of it. Hot tub? We were on the road 12 hours and were looking forward to soaking in it, but we wouldn't get in it. It wasn't even hot, and I have no idea when it was cleaned last. Continental breakfast? The cereal was stale and the coffee was likely just brown water. Could not escape this hotel fast enough! I wouldn't even recommend stopping in this town. All of it was nasty. Don't go down the road to Subway either. You'll wait in line for 45 minutes. read more

Where do I begin.. When I walked into the room it smelled. The air conditioning system was just a basic Window AC. The filter on the AC looks like it wasn't cleaned in months! I struggle with asthma and I had to clean the filter myself just to even have the AC emit cool air! The food for the complementary breakfast was stale cereal. I understand that this is the type of motel to just stay 1 night and continue on your way, but it greatly needs to be updated. read more

For a Super 8 motel (and the price) this place gets high marks. Room had a fridge, microwave, very clean and modern decoration (no floral bedspreads!). TV worked great and free WiFi. Was great to stay at while driving through NE. Friendly staff too! read more

The ladies were very sweet. Our reservations got wonky from a third party and they took care of us. The bed was good and the water pressure was awesome. By awesome I mean I loved it but be careful when turning it on lol The breakfast was decent and we would stay again. Just don't plan on getting any food late at night in this town or gas at actual prices shown or if you want to pay 30cents more.
