We have been remodeling a 1966 ranch-style home and after removing ceilings and walls I knew we needed new insulation. My husband found Koala through an email from our energy company that was offering an incentive. It only took a few days before Derrick came to our house to evaluate our attic and discuss options. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We went with a full removal of our old insulation and then new spray-in insulation. The crew were scheduled a few day after we signed quote. They were polite and respectful coming into our home. The removal process took all day and they filled up huge bags of our old insulation. I was glad to see it go. They came back a few days later so we could seal the attic and they sprayed in the new insulation. This only took half the day and they added an insulated zipper door flap that completed the job. Having this done was a much needed job and Koala did a great job. Derrick also handled the process to get the incentive done. I've noticed the house temperature is much more consistent and will help our energy bills during these hot summers.

John collected a list of people needing this service on Saturday after the storm had passed. On Saturday evening he called us and advised us someone would be available either Sunday afternoon or first thing Monday morning. We agreed to whatever worked for their schedule as nobody needed to be there when they would be working. First thing Monday morning I got a call from Chris DeHart the owner of All About Energy Solutions that he would be out shortly. I forgot to mention that nobody was home so he called back for permission to enter the backyard when there was no answer at the front door. After surveying the damage he called back with the bad news, good news, and great news. The bottom line was he didn't think we needed tarps with the type of damage that had occurred. There were no entire patches of shingles missing but rather a shingle here and a shingle there. He advised me that the nails to hold the tarps in place were more apt to cause water leakage than to just leave the roof temporarily as it was. I thanked him and told him to charge whatever their callout service fee was. He replied no charge, just tell your insurance agent that we treated you fairly. So I'm telling the entire YELP Community Chris DeHart owner of All About Energy Solutions was fantastic. We will certainly use them in the future for any of their normal business functions.

Avoid this company. They do not follow up on their work, even for items under warranty. It is just a flimsy piece of foil that doesn't stay attached. My attic heat problem has been worse after paying them $6,000 to fix it. Of note, All About Energy Solutions, LLC filed for 11 chapter bankruptcy in the Eastern District of North Carolina bankruptcy court on May 16, 2025.

They also sealed off all vents, placed a 6 mil diamondback reinforced diamondback moisture barrier. The last step was installing a Santa Fe dehumidifier, condensation pump and remote monitor system.
