I recall coming to this deli before the new owners, and there is only one word to describe…read moreit...DUSTY! The new owners have invested into the look and products. The place looks great, and the food and customer service is on point as well. If you want a salad for lunch, this is the place to go. I bought a salad yesterday, and I ate 2 full servings from it, and get this, I still have two more servings to go before it's finished. The best part of it is that it's less than $10. For 9.36, you get a huge helping of one protein, and whatever other toppings you want. Unless, you plan to share this with someone, I recommend that you don't put dressing on it, so that you're able to eat it later. Panera won't be seeing me anymore for their high dollar salads. Knollwood deli all the way. Besides, I'd rather support local businesses in the area. I haven't tried any of the hot food, but I will update my post whenever that happens.

Prices are not cheap either. Why pay for rats, cats, and insects nibbling on the food they sell to you? There are so many other better places in the area: Pats Deli on Columbus Ave, Rose Hill deli (the best) on Columbus ave, the Sandwich Spot on Legion/Grasslands, and there are more places on route 9a Saw Mill River Road, such as Wendy's, Dunkin, IHOP Applebees, even ShopRite has great sandwiches, and locally there's even Panera and Dave's Hot Chicken. AVOID KNOLLWOOD DELI. DISGUSTING.

Finally made my way back and it definitely lived up to the memory. The sandwiches are packed, flavorful, and actually worth the hype. One of those spots where it's hard to decide what to order because the menu has so many good choices. Definitely a solid sandwich spot to keep in rotation.

I had enjoyed their sandwiches in the past, especially the One Upper, so I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, about two and a half hours after eating the sandwich, I became sick and vomited multiple times. The Aristocrat breakfast sandwich was the only thing I had eaten that day, and I believe it was what made me sick. The following day, I was dealing with significant stomach pain from vomiting so much. My mom called the restaurant and spoke with Marisa, who apologized and offered me a free sandwich. While I appreciated the apology, a free sandwich didn't make up for how sick I became. During the conversation, Marisa suggested that the issue may have been unrelated to the food. Given that the sandwich was the only thing I had eaten that day and I don't have any known food allergies, I felt my concerns were not fully addressed. It's disappointing because I expected the same quality I remembered, but this experience was the complete opposite. It will be a while before I feel comfortable returning.
