It was April and they finished after 8:30 at night, so it was dark and I had to inspect the work with a flashlight, not optimal. I said it looked good, but upon re-inspecting in day light, I was far from satisfied. Mulch was thin and bare spots all around . You could see the weed guard in several places. The black mulch was already fading, didn't even do everything quotes. i.e. use mulch glue, no plants on side of stairs and their clean-up was sub-par at best. The house wash was just terrible. I texted him to complain and was surprised to hear that he wasn't going to stand behind his work. I expected him to at least come out and look for himself. Instead, he told me how I could fix it. I hate leaving a bad review, he's a nice kid and I just wanted to give him the job to support a local business. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend him and would not hire him again.

He did a terrible job with the landscaping and refused to deduct any money from the quoted price, even though he didn't do the topsoil and reseeding that he originally said he was going to do. I would never use him again and would not recommend him to anyone else. On the upside, he was a very nice young man and I believe that he thought he did a good job, but in reality, he has no landscaping skills whatsoever.

We had our wedding here in July of 2021, rescheduled from October 2020. All sorts of things came up…read morethat we're never told to us during our initial meetings. Management is lazy, tried to tell us we couldn't have more than 150 people (this is after all Covid restrictions were lifted this past summer). When we pushed them on this they allowed us 200 People max. Keep in mind their website says seating up to 350 people. Then they told us we needed to rent our own chairs for under the tent because their chairs would be set up for the outdoor ceremony (none of this was ever told To us before when we originally met and told them We had a number of 250-300 people). The day of our wedding we were told we could come anytime and take our pictures. We showed up at 430 for pictures, guests starting arriving at 530 but weren't allowed in until six or so. The contract says you have five hours and we ended our event at 930. Even if you count 530 as the start time (even though staff didn't do anything since guests were held in the parking lot) our event did not go 5 hours yet we were charged for overtime!! So did not get our security deposit back due to that nonsense. Also the venue wouldn't allow us to have a decorator and said they would do it all themselves.... Well when they realized they were not able to decorate the tent adequately they finally allowed a decorator. It was very hard to get in touch with anyone there either during the planning process we often sent 3 or 4 emails or texts before we got a response. It's a beautiful venue but not worth all the BS they put you through. Super hard to work with, lots of hidden costs and just not professional people. Would not recommend!!!

We moved across country and hired this contractor on the recommendation of our realtor. The…read moreservice was OK. Communication and accounting accuracy were horrible. Ethics were questionable. Specific examples: 1- The owner, Todd, failed to tell us that his quote for services did not include a $3-$4 per charge for gasoline. Our yard is less than 1/4 acre, easily handled by one fill up of the small tank on our own lawnmower. Was it really necessary to charge for a gallon of gas each time the lawn was mowed? And more importantly, not tell us in advance? 2- Todd raised the price of service twice, also without informing us in advance. 3- We mistakenly double-paid one month and did not receive credit for the extra $200 until pointing out the error. 4- We did not receive any bill for services for two months despite multiple requests to do so, both in writing and on the phone. 5- When we did finally receive the first bill, it included dates when the Binghamton area received significant rainfall, including one day when the area also got rain the day before and the day after. (I still get flash flooding alerts and warnings on my phone, and weather records are easily checked on the internet.) We gave him the benefit of the doubt, figuring he just listed service on every Monday as we had agreed, even if the lawn was actually mowed on other days of the week. All in all, we're betting that other contractors would provide equal service with better communication and more accurate price quotes.
