These guys are seriously the best. I was on my way to San Diego when I had a flat tire outside of Welton in the middle of nowhere. I looked on Yelp and found this place and hobbled there on my "run-on" flat tire. They were so nice. They didn't have my specialty tire, but immediately got on the phone and found a place in Yuma. They actually drove me to Yuma, which was probably 30 minutes away and drove me back. Knowing that I needed to be in San Diego by a certain time, the "pit crew" was ready to throw my tire on so I could take off. They charged me nothing. I was flabbergasted. What a great group of guys. Great place! Hands down recommended! Great service! We were heading from Phoenix to San Diego when my car alerted me of a low pressure tire. Originally we thought ehh just probably slightly low, but then when checked for the actual tire pressures and it was 16 psi below the recommended, we thought it may be a flat tire. Couldn't recall running over anything in particular. As we continued to drive the psi gradually decreased in increments of 1 psi . I began to panic realizing the next big city was, Yuma and was 60 miles away. The rate we were going, we were not going to make it to Yuma. Luckily there was a Pilot gas station. Aired up the rear tire and looked up the nearest tire shop which happen to be in Wellton, Arizona. It was 12 miles away from the gas station as opposed to taking the risk and driving 40 miles to Yuma. It's slightly off I-8 and easy to find. It's a decent size tire shop. The shop is clean, well taken care of, new/modern. Upon entering the tire shop, we were greeted by a friendly front desk employee. Immediately we were taken care of. Backed up the car into the one of the service bays and they found the problem with the tire. Small little piece of metal had caused the flat. The tire was fixed/patched up in no time. The whole process from the time we entered to the time we left took only 10 minutes! On top of that every person we ran into was super nice. I even got educated on the tires and what to look for and different tips. I loved the education part! Made me feel more comfortable and like they cared to take the time to explain. It's like going to a doctor's office and you feel your visit was well worth it because the doctor explained everything in terms you understand. Definitely recommend this place if you have any problems. They are efficient, good with customers, clean, and knowledgeable. You can rely on them if you ever run into tire problems between Phoenix and San Diego. I'm very happy with my experience there! read more

These guys are amazing! Last day of my summer road trip, hauling my 5th wheel across the country and back, when my trailer blows a tire just east of Wellton, Arizona. San Diego is so close I can almost smell the ocean! And I end up limping down the side of the interstate to the rest stop to change a tire in 113 degrees and then find Ed Whitehead's Tires in Wellton on the recommendation of a local---Those guys had a new tire on my spare wheel quicker than a hotel check-in (and they used a grinder to smooth down the rough edges of the wheel too). I can not thank these guys enough. It took me two hours being stuck in the 8 to get a tow truck and I couldn't find anyone to help me get a replacement tire. Not only did they have the tire in stock but he stayed after closing to install the new tire for me. These guys are incredibly friendly. The price was fair and the service incredible. read more

We would give no stars if we could! Bought brand new tires in April 2018 for our RV. After driving around town we discovered they weren't even balanced right. Went back and then after complaining they balanced them. They told us when we purchased them that they were under warranty. We put a total of 6000 miles on them and had an extreme blowout. When we called them to inquire about the warranty (because we were traveling and had to buy a new tire) they the gentleman we spoke to said he'd get back with us. Didn't hear anything. So called back, the pets we spoke to this time said those tires are not given warranties, but he'd see what he could do. NEVER HEARD BACK!!!' Thank God we were near an exit when the tire blew, or we would be stranded on. If you say you're going to get back with someone- do it! Stand behind your products and don't lie! Came in with a consistent leak in my tire that no other place could find out why it was leaking. Ed Whitehead found no leak also but took the entire tire off and searched for a reason and found there was an issue with the valve not being completely tightened. After all if this they didn't charge me anything even after I told them I had to pay them something for the time they spent working on it. Great honest people that do a really quality job. read more

These guys are Superheros to me! Not kidding. They saved me and my son. I was driving my Senior in High School from San Diego to finally take the SAT in the early AM in Phoenix, AZ and I got a flat tire. (Not offered in CA due to COVID). I barely got off the freeway in Wellton Friday at 4:52 pm (they close at 5pm). I called them from the gas air station and they said they would help me at a minimum get my tire changed. So I filled my tire and sprinted over there. They did not have my tire (it is very specialized) but three guys still stayed after hours helping me get my spare on and helping me call around to find a tire in Yuma from a place open until 6 pm. By then it was a mad dash to Yuma. So I peeled out of there and 10 minutes later I get a call from them that I left my purse!! Knowing I had to make it to Yuma and was slogging along at 50 mph on my tiny spare - one of these amazing guys jumped in his car and chased me down and we met along the way back to Yuma. My son's passport was in that purse and he couldn't have taken the SAT in the AM without it! Truly over the top service and good old refreshing humanity! On top of it all - they wouldn't take my money. These people are the gold standard of business. It simply was above and beyond. My son and I made it to Phoenix that night and his SAT went off the next morning without a hitch all thanks to these fine people. read more

Great service from Justin, Buddy and Mike. Stranded RV with a blowout on I-8, Mike answered the call got the right tire and dispatched Justin to make the repair all by himself. Courteous and prompt, he got us back on the road in 2 hrs despite the 50 mile drive to get to us. read more

We blew a tire on our 42' fifth wheel on the interstate and were SO thankful it was only 20 min away from this great shop. They were able to get us in right away, had the right tires, and even had a spot for us to fit with our huge rig. Prices and service were great.
