I went in for an emergency exam; I hadn't been taking care of my teeth (my fault!). The dentist…read morenoted an abcess and scheduled me for an immediate root canal, the next day. He gave me pills to take an hour before the procedure. I called later that day to confirm the appointment time, and it turns out that the office had made a mistake. The dentist was not able to handle the procedure, and referred me to a specialist. I made the first available appointment with the new dentist, which was 2.5 weeks away. Over the next few days, I began experiencing intense pain as well as a bad taste in my mouth as I began to irrigate out the gum abcess with a Waterpik, a procedure I had discussed with the dentist. I called a total of six times over 4 days, asking for pain relief and asking if I needed antibiotics. I have a heart condition, that the dentist knew about, that can make tooth infections very dangerous. Finally, after six calls / being maxed out on OTC pain meds / worried sick about infection, I was able to speak to someone at Peach Orchard Dental. They said the dentist agreed that of course, I needed antibiotics! Why this wasn't prescribed sooner, I don't know. They offered to call it in (5 days later, mind you). I also inquired about pain meds. The nurse I spoke to said she would "ask the doctor", and treated my reasonable request almost as a special favor. That was the impression I got, and it didn't sit well with me, not after fumbling the "root canal next day" visit and leaving me without antibiotic protection for five days. This wasn't the right dentist for me. It may be for you, they seem very polite and they did great work for me on a simple filling, but I can't take chances with infections. Also, it's a horrible thing to have to beg for pain relief. Horrible. My father, he was a proud man. He would not be happy with my having to beg for relief. I ended up seeing Urgent Care for antibiotics, and now I'm just toughing out the pain. I can't eat on that side of my mouth, I'm constantly angry because of the pain, and it's still two weeks until my oral surgeon appointment. Wish me luck!

Oh the not-so-fun conversation of "so where do you go to get your teeth polished and chipped away…read moreat and examined under a bright light?" All while watching Netflix to a television attached to the ceiling. For past few years my answer to that question has been Hobbs. Now the quality of this team and Dr. Hobbs, top notch. That's not even something to consider. They are some of the friendlist individuals I have ever met, and I grew up in the deep South. What I have come to appreciate about this business (because it is that) is timeliness. If your appointment is for 2 pm, be there a few minutes early because at 2 pm you will be walking back to a room. Whatever the purpose of the visit, you will taken care of and on your way quicker than most haircuts or fast food drive-thru's. Aside from the typical care, I also began the use of Invisalign almost a year ago. They have walked me through this process and are helping me progress to a better smile. I will continue to come here for oral care for years to come.

The staff was not only friendly on the phone, but super friendly in person. Everyone was so polite! My first thought was, "it smells like a spa in here!" Then I noticed how fresh and open everything felt. I barely waited in the waiting room and after being pulled back it was only a few minutes before Dr. Hobbs came in. She was so cheerful and friendly. I was starting to sweat because I've had a few bad instances with dental visits when I was younger. She reassured me and before I knew it, she had me fixed up and ready to go! I highly recommend her practice!

My mother called me from this dental office today. She was given a quote and was told to request a…read moreline of credit from Care Credit so that she can have this dental work completed. She requested the line of credit, receive the line of credit and paid Aspen Dental the full amount for their services. She arrives for her appointment today and was told that they could not provide her with service because she has a balance of $485. She called me and shares this information and I asked to speak to the person in charge. The lady precedes to explain to me how my mother's charges for the services are $2,360, Care Credit had approved her for $2,400 and that my mother had paid the amount in full. At this point I'm confused, because the bill clearly has been satisfied, however, you will not provide her with the services that she has paid you for. The lady said that she would have to call me back. Before hanging up, I asked her if I could pay half today and half later so that my mother could go ahead and have the work done that she has ALREADY paid for in full. I was told no. I was told that she could not receive services until the past due, THAT SHE WAS NOT EVEN AWARE OF, was paid. A few minutes later, she had someone from the finance department call me. The person from Finance explained that my mother had work done in April that the insurance company did not pay, so the $485 was to cover that service. Now it's starting to make sense, however, what a terrible business practice. First off, if the insurance company had denied a claim, my mother should have been informed IMMEDIATELY. Why would you allow her to pay for a new service, show up for an appointment and then place her in a predicament to where she can only be serviced if she pays a pass bill that SHE DID NOT EVEN KNOW EXISTED? The person from Finance apologized and stated that they would not have refused my mother service and that they would have allowed her to set up a payment plan. Really?? This is news to me, because I just asked your coworker if my mother could receive the services THAT SHE PAID FOR IN FULL and if I could pay half on the $485 and pay the balance later and I was told NO. That was deceitful and in my humble opinion, VERY unethical. You placed the person, A SENIOR CITIZEN, that needed your services in a situation that, had she not had children, she would have been refused. My mother is on a fixed income and under no circumstances does she just walk around with a extra $485. You all should examine your business practices and do better because what you did today was again, UNETHICAL and DECEITFUL. You should have explain to her before she arrived that she had a balance, so that she could make arrangements to pay you. You also lied to my face and told me that I could not pay half today and half later. AND you lied to my face, AGAIN, when you told me that my mother could not receive services until the past due was paid in full. The bill is paid, however, I feel that it was my responsibility to share this information with the public. I would hate for some unsuspecting victim to arrive at your location and be in the same situation that my mother was in. What happens to the person who comes in and doesn't have family, doesn't have a savings account, doesn't have children or siblings that they can call or who just doesn't have?? Shame on you.

I had an extremely distressing experience with Dr. Ngoh that I feel obligated to share…read more I was initially referred for a root canal due to very minor, radiating pain from a previously capped tooth (#30). However, after the procedure, I experienced sudden and severe pain--far worse than anything I had before treatment. Dr. Ngoh told me I needed a second root canal on a different tooth. I was in such intense pain that I agreed to paying for the additional procedure on tooth #31. Unfortunately, the second root canal did not resolve anything. The pain and cold sensitivity remained exactly the same, which strongly suggests the post surgical issue was not properly addressed. When I returned feeling exhausted and desperate for relief, I was met with a flippant attitude and told I simply needed a night guard due to teeth grinding. He repeatedly stated that I am medical and should understand ( I am an ICU nurse.. not in dentistry). I understand that medicine is a practice and sometimes adjustments need to be made as no individual is the same. What's most concerning is that I left his office with a developing abscess following his procedures, without being prescribed antibiotics. My face and surrounding tissue became red, hot, and extremely painful. When I became visibly distressed, his response was highly inappropriate--he touched my knee and told me he "loved me". I left in a state of absolute panic. I later followed up with my general dentist, who was alarmed that a second root canal had been performed on a tooth that was not part of the original referral and did not appear to require treatment. They immediately prescribed antibiotics to address the infection. After seeking a second opinion, I've now been told I need retreatment of the original tooth or possibly an extraction and implant--outcomes that could potentially have been avoided. This entire experience left me feeling taken advantage of, dismissed, and deeply uncomfortable. I would strongly caution others to seek a second opinion before proceeding with treatment and definitely think twice before choosing Ngoh as your endodontist.

The dentist asked about my pain. I've actually had more pain since the filling was placed. The dentist sends me back to the endodontist Dr. Ngo for reevaluation. The same person I saw the first time. The assistant takes an XRAY and Dr. Ngo comes in and asks me what my problem with his office is. I tell him I don't appreciate the back and forth as my tooth is getting worse. He asks why I came back. Well I want my tooth fixed and he already has imaging. He excuses himself and comes back asking about my Google review. He tells me I can choose to go somewhere else just as he can choose not to see me, so he will not see me. WHAT A FRAUD. The original review MUST BE TRUE since he's so offended by it. Original Review: Feels pretty scam like. I was referred here from dentist Tiara Marshall. She stated I needed a root canal when she looked at my XRAY. So I went to the endodontist. Soon as I walked in, there this giant fish tank and the office is pretty lush. I already know if your doc sends you to a specialist, it will cost special money. So the endodontist does a scan called CBCT. It costs $260 up front and not covered by insurance. Also if I want a copy of this scan it still costs another $25. They continue to do other imaging. I asked why they couldn't get the imaging from the office that referred me? The assistant stated those records do not show up in our system. So all I'm hearing is $$ adding up. The dentist comes in and looks over the images and then examines my mouth. Guess what... I do not need a root canal. He recommends a filling and a crown. Great news I suppose. But I know I won't be excited about whatever else I have to pay when they actually run the insurance. I bet these dentists are all in the same friend group making unnecessary referrals.
