However, something was very obviously and immediately different about Laura that we hadn't seen. You can tell that she really loves what she does and is passionate about the process. I was impressed by her compassion towards us, her care and attention to the property and her sellers and even having an extra event and inviting the neighbors. Who does that? Anyone would be lucky to work with her and I would definitely recommend her.

Keller Williams has been involved in major class-action antitrust lawsuits regarding real estate…read morecommissions, agreeing to a massive nationwide commission settlement (including a $70 million agreement covering multiple claims) and a $20 million homebuyer antitrust settlement (Batton) alongside RE/MAX. They also faced smaller telemarketing and spam lawsuits under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) them up and see the amount of class action lawsuits. I had to interact with this team because they were selling the home I was purchasing. It was a straight forward CASH purchase of which I have made several in the last few years. On average I have paid around $2000 max in escrow closing fees. These agents demanded we use an escrow company ( I can only assume they get a back end payment on it since they fought so hard for it) that wanted to be paid over $4000 for a straight cash purchase. this is a typical part of how companies and agents like these make extra money on the backs of their customers. we had to spend a couple of days pushing back to get the cost in line. and although we finally did, my guess is that their actual client paid the $4000 without knowing they were paying way too much. When I needed basic information about the house I have always received, they initially refused, claiming I had not "ingratiated" myself enough to warrant that help. apparently ingratiating yourself is paying DOUBLE what it costs to close escrow. the greed is so typical, they most likely got paid by the owner over $50k, then gouged her for an additional $4000 in escrow. I sold a $2.5M house and my agent Arivva only charged $15K and $2000 for escrow. These people are part of keeping one of the best kept scam secrets in real estate, you don't have to pay a percentage of the selling cost, there are companies (that are the future) doing it for a flat fee, and secondly you don't have to pay insane escrow costs. all those people raving how great this team is, are omitting a key fact, they overpaid for them in thousands and thousands of dollars.

So I decided to look into using an apartment broker, to take some of the burden off myself and let a professional handle things instead... After looking at a few different firms online, I got good vibes from The Rental Girl (TRG), a boutique real estate agency here in Los Angeles, that also handles apartment searches. I liked the fact that the company is on the smaller side (around 20 or so employees, I believe), so that you really get their full attention. And for me personally, it was also a big plus to support a women-owned business. For apartment searches, they offer a couple of options: 1) You can sign up on their website to access listings on your own. or... 2) They also offer a concierge service, where they take inventory of your specific needs and wants and then do a customized search for you, which includes setting up walk-thrus, handling paperwork, and basically taking charge of all the less-fun aspects of looking for a new apartment. Their concierge service is made up of a team of people who each cover a different area of Los Angeles. For the area I was looking in, I was assigned a terrific, friendly dynamo named Itza Campos. She took great care of me every step of the way, serving as a sounding board (and even a therapist at times, lol) as we considered various apartments, before landing on just the right one. It was a true pleasure working with her and I really can't thank her enough for all the help she gave me! TRG concierge service isn't inexpensive -- it's equal to the price of one month's rent on your new apartment -- but I have to say that I consider it money VERY well-spent. Itza made the whole process fun and basically painless. I would recommend The Rental Girl without hesitation for anyone who wants help in finding the perfect place to live. Thanks again to the great team at TRG, especially Itza!

Long story short we got no confirmation of any kind of help for over 2 months. 2 months of staying in hotels wondering what would happen to our lives. We ended up moving somewhere else and hiring our own vendors to basically do their job. On top of it all they're withholding a hefty portion of our deposit for "trash" even though we paid a private vendor to completely vacate the property. They claim they have pictures but refuse to send. Yuumi. Kaye. If you're reading this, I want you to know that I think you should be ashamed of yourself. The amount of bad reviews this company has makes so much sense now. You both have no decency or empathy. I don't wish you well and I hope you guys get what's coming to you.

We ignored the yelp reviews and man are we paying for that. For the last SIX MONTHS, our AC has been broken, first happening during a major heat wave that had our home reaching over 93 degrees. After multiple vendors, countless promises, and endless follow-ups, the issue still isn't resolved. We kept reaching out via email, phone, text and got ZERO responses except each time being told they are sending a NEW vendor. After being completely ignored for weeks, I finally got Yuumi on the phone, and she claimed that the vendors "canceled the quotes." When I called the vendor directly, they said no such thing happened. It was clear that Yuumi had lied to us. Now, here we are in the sixth month of this ongoing issue, and they've decided to send out yet another new vendor. This constant cycle of delays and changing vendors is not only ridiculous--it's completely unacceptable. They've strung us along for far too long without any real resolution or transparency. We've called, emailed, and texted, but all we've gotten is more empty promises, lies, and a lack of accountability. At this point, I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.
