It has an inclosed screened area in the back with a large table and rocking chairs. Upstairs is a loft with a small bathroom and balcony access. There's a washer and dryer behind the kitchen area and a shower/bathroom. Outdoors there's a fire pit and a porch/bench area, a swing, and two small lakes. A rustic arch for weddings is available. We loved this place, it's so nice and quiet. Wi-fi is available and a phone land line. The owners are friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend Beaver Creek Lodge.

Breakfast was wonderful, for lunch we went into Huntington and dinners into Lufkin. Took a tour of the old logging trails around Zavalla and saw Lake Sam Rayburn. Quiet and secluded we can't wait to come back next year. Our host Lonnie & Carolyn were personable and friendly we wanted them to set down with us for breakfast but they had way to much to do tending to our party of 8. Bob and Gene, the owners, were wonderful to work with and left most of the details in Lonnie and Carolyn's capable hands. Family retreat, business meeting or Wedding the next time we have a need of a fantastic place we will be back!

We needed accommodations for lots of family coming into town from all over the world. Blake…read moresuggested Red Bud Cabin at Tall Timbers Resort. This place was great! Everyone loved the Rustic atmosphere. The kitchen is roomy, with a large dining area & family den where everyone could gather and visit. There are two bedrooms downstairs, one with a queen bed (the grandmothers took that one), one with four twin beds and a bunk bed, so six family members could comfortably sleep there. There is also a large bathroom with big mirrors & two sinks, so everyone could get ready for our event. Upstairs has a long dormitory style room with six twin beds & a couch. There is also a large closet, bathroom, and washer & dryer. The place was perfect! Our family from Missouri, Illinois, Texas & South Africa was enchanted with the tall pine trees, the friendly cats, dogs, and horses on the property. You just need to bring food if you plan to cook in the cabin, and toiletries, as none are provided. Don't forget salt & pepper like we did, but if you do, there is a convenience store at FM1275 & Loop 224 that has everything!

We are usually fans of Courtyard Marriott but this one left a lot to be desired. It had a surface…read moreremodel but that was basically put right on top of an older hotel. First our Bathroom door wouldn't shut. The door was too big for the frame. As we've actually experience in a lot of other Marriotts that are older the sink is so far back on the counter I basically have to lean over and throw the water at my face to wash it, then it gets water all over the counter it's actually pretty comical. Overall it suited our purposes for a quick overnight here for family but other than that it wasn't our best Marriott stay. I will say all though it wasn't our worst. It wasn't 1 star but not sure I could give it more than 3 stars although it's likely more like a 2.5 The other thing is we got a room right next to the elevator and the walls at so thin here you can hear every footstep and ever single ding. I'm a light sleeper and so it didn't particularly makes for a nice night of sleep. You can also hear every single creak in this hotel, probably because it is rather old in death the lipstick they slathered on it. I will give it this, it was clean, and the beds were fairly comfortable but the pillows were horrible (but we've experienced bad pillows at almost every courtyard so this is probably a corporate thing.)

We decided to have our wedding at the Barn at Hickory Creek and it was the BEST decision we ever made. This place is a well oiled machine. Breathtakingly beautiful does not even began to describe it. If you are looking for a barn wedding this is the place for you. Jenni and her staff are hands down the best. She was so professional and easy to work with. The barn looked like a picture from a magazine when Jenni was done decorating it. Everything went smooth, Jenni had it all under control, which gave me the freedom to breathe and enjoy the day. It's at the end of a road with ample parking. The guest house was comfortable for 20 adults and 6 kids(the kids slept in sleeping bags). It was very clean and everyone thought the beds were very comfortable. This is perfect for a large group. It has a big open field for activities. We enjoyed the pool and did some fishing in the pond, we actually caught a few. It was very relaxing. I would definitely rent it again! The host were very easy to communicate with. Any large event would be perfect here!! I went thru Airbnb to rent the home!!
