BEYOND UNPROFESSIONAL My son was supposed to be covered under my mothers insurance for the first 30 days of his life. They NEVER sent me ANY bills that were apparently not taken care of by her insurance. One of the bills was never even sent to my mothers insurance. My son was born in May, it is now OCTOBER and they sent this letter to me. This is BEYOND UNPROFESSIONAL to word something this way. We are in contact with the insurance company to get it figured out, but to get a letter that starts off with THIS??! Totally unbelievable and downright rude. I didn't have a true problem with this practice until now. We left because they didn't accept the insurance my son is on, but if I was still there I would be leaving after this. Edit to add: Just discovered a $150 lactation consultant bill when I did NOT ask to meet with the consultants at our initial visit. I was TOLD "the lactation consultant will come in and speak with you about things before you leave" and that was it. was not told i'd be charged, and I didn't ask to speak with them. read more

Not sure what all the other neg reviews are about but Ive had nothing but good experiences so far and ive been to the lancaster and ephrata locations. The only bad thing perhaps is that they do get booked up and u have to go to other offices sometimes. Ive taken my daughter here last few months and all the staff and doctors are wonderful. In emergency and non emergency situations they see her right away and educate me. read more

If you desire a healthcare provider for your children that will discuss health benefits/risks & allow parents freedom to assist in medical decisions for their children then this IS NOT the place for you. After a phone conversation and simply asking "what happens if I refuse any vaccination for my child" they said due to their policy I would have to find a new pediatrician for my children. I had refused NO vaccinations at this point and during my child's next physical they gave me a letter terminating my children's care 19 days prior to their "date of last service ". My husband and I took our infant here and we were blown away by the time the staff spent with us. They were reassuring, comforting and caring. We had a lot of questions and they took the time to answer them in a way that made us feel confident as first time parents. I can't say enough great things about our experience. We also had the opportunity to meet with the lactation specialist who spent so much time with us and wrote up a plan personal to me and my breastfeeding journey. Thank you, Linda! Very happy with our experiences with our 2 children. They have some minor problems like every doctor's office/healthcare facility in history, but the practitioners are very good. They have a great support for lactation, keep track of immunizations, and to reiterate that the practitioners are very good with peds. Read the reviews, the negative reviewers are being ridiculous. My child's dentist was very impressed that this office initiates fluoride. And seriously, complaining that a doctor wants to give immunizations, what a shocker in modern medical science. read more

Don't believe the anti-science/anti-fact rhetoric from the negative reviews. Eden park pediatrics has the top doctors in the area. It's a shame people feel the need to leave poor reviews because they disagree with medical consensus. The doctors at Eden Park actually care about your kid. The triage nurses at Eden Park Pediatrics are extremely helpful in giving advice and information, and determining whether my children need to be seen in the office. The Covid precautions, having certain offices for sick visits and others for well visit is a very safe arrangement. The nurses, office staff, and other professionals are friendly and helpful. On call docs are fantastic during emergencies. Dr. Kline is our kids' regular pediatrician, and she is incredibly invested in her patients - she remembers our family and our needs. Every time we meet with her the conversation picks right up where we left it. I don't know how she does this with so many patients, but her connection to the families and her dedication is extraordinary. She has taken excellent care of our children, and has given wonderful advice. She is patient, calm, upbeat and smart. When our children age out of eligibility to see a pediatrician, I know healthcare for them will never be as good as it has been for these many years. I have such gratitude for the care they have received at Eden Park while they are minors. read more

Don't waste your time with this practice. Two great doctors but the rest of the staff is rude 80% of the time and extremely unfriendly. We had been going here for over three years when I get a phone call saying that our family is being let go from the practice because we missed three appointments over a two year time period, one due to my 'mom brain', another due to a fire in our home and another to an unexpected funeral. We were given no notice that we had missed two appointments previously and then if we missed another we would be let go I find this unprofessional and unkind. I will never, ever recommend this practice to anyone. I will warn people against them. read more

We love the doctors, nurses and lactation consultant and have always received top notch care and attention in a timely manner. We couldn't be more pleased with the medical staff and would recommend them to everyone. The billing department has some issues...LOTS of confusion and mistakes...just pay attention to your bills and statements. read more

Unethical charges that are not disclosed. After months of using an inhaler and vortex with face mask, we requested a new vortex and mask. The nurse asked if Inknew how to use it to which I responded yes, she continued for another 30 sec. Months later I received a bill for $40 for teaching fees. This is one of many secret charges from this practice. It would seem what once started as high quality care, has turned into profit at all cost. I would give them negative stars if I could. The experience I had with my new family at this place was horrible. They don't care about the well being of your child, all they care about is turning a profit. Kelly one of the pediatricians at this practice was so rude and inconsiderate I have never met such an inconsiderate professional in all my experience with physicians. If you don't mind medically unnecessary treatments and visits somewhat abusive staff and nurses that have no idea what they are doing. By all means please use this practice. But if you care about the needs of your child and family avoid this place like the plague. read more

I have had several unfavorable experiences with Eden Park Pediatrics, but in some instances they have gone out of their way to help me. I used to be a patient ther and I always got all my vaccines on time and was never sick, but one time I had a very bad cold and Dr. Curtin went out of her way to meet me after hours to see what was happening and wrote me a prescription for a z pack, and it helped tremendously. With that said, I have had very poor experiences with most other aspects of the office, most of which involve the receptionists and the nurses. The nurses have tried to give me the third HPV shot, which I know is important to get, but I had allergic reactions to the first two, but they still would try to force me to get it and ignored the reactions. I was also supposed to have my blood test record, of being tested for a blood disease, sent to a specific doctor to see if I could have a certain medication, but Eden Park never sent it to them. I found this out after a week passed since I sent the request to EPP, and then calling the specialist and finding out that Eden Park never sent it nor contacted them at all. When I called EPP Heather answered and when given my name all else went out of her mind and all she could focus on was that I hadnt been there in a year. She tried to refuse to help me because of that reason and it took many times of telling her I was pretty sure I had been there within a year AND that I see the doctor in Mass, where I go to college now, for my visit. When she finally decided to help me she said that they didn't have my medical record for a blood draw of any kind and they must not be my primary doctor, but they had been my only doctor for my entire life until 2016, and the blood draw was in 2011. I explained this to her repeatedly, and she finally looked again and found the record. She then said that they had sent an order for my cholestoral, which was not even close to what they said they would check for, and that that was the reason why they never sent anything. I basically told her that the next time they encounter an issue like this they should either call the patient or the doctor who should be receiving a record, and tell them the problem and not just leave them hanging and confused as to what the hold up is, and then hung up. Another time I was there I was waiting in the well child area, which is directly in front of the receptionist desk and all I could hear was the lady who usually checks in patients talking to another woman about how much she hates her job there, not the best conversation to over hear. Despite this, they kept me healthy and well, so thats solid, but the rececptionists seem to have no respect towards anyone and do not care to listen or help unless you stay on the line and force them to. Again, the doctors at EPP have been helpful and useful and have kept me alive and well, and most of the problems stem from the front desk. read more

wow talk about a practice that has a war on parents. not only was i fear mongered into vaccines i didn't want, they pushed flouride on my daughter non stop when i was insistent it wasn't needed because of her very healthy diet. i told my DENTIST about how they were slathering flouride all over her gums and they said how it seems to be an office full of people who don't know what they are doing... my thoughts exactly. THEN after a ton of vaccines and fear mongering i decided i no longer wanted to vaccinate and do a natural path... SURPRISE SURPRISE, the government run minions will no longer see my daughter. what a joke!!! you rarely actually treat sick children, you are just there to stab them full of poison so you can get your quarterly bonus. thanks but I'll find a dr where i can make my own parental choices! I saw Dr Curtain and was not impressed with how much she tried to talk me into something I didn't want for my daughter, so I switched Doctors. Doctor Currie was very friendly and thorough. However the nurses were unfriendly and VERY unprofessional. Twice, I waited over 45 minutes past my appointment time to get to the exam room and then another 30-40 minutes waiting for the Dr. Anyone that has small children knows how difficult it can be to keep them entertained while waiting in an exam room. The four main doctors at this facility are fantastic. I say that, because I realize they have more doctors, but I have not met them yet. The one thing that has put me over the edge with this facility time and time again is the receptionist, Crystal. No matter what you say to her, she doesn't listen and throws you on hold for a nurse. And she's just rude. I honestly feel like she does not like her job or having to deal with the people who call in. She will not help you out at all, even if you tell her you simply cannot wait on the phone anymore time than you have, she won't help you. As for the scheduling, I feel like this facility caters for stay at home Mom's who never leave their house. I work full time and simply cannot stay on the phone for twenty minutes waiting to make an appointment. It's ridiculous. If I feel that my child should be seen by the doctor, I shouldn't have to get one of the nurse's "permission" to set up an appointment. This practice really needs to open their eyes to the front desk and what is going on and how appointments are being made before they start losing their patients. read more

I saw dr. Knox-lee and expressed my concern regarding immunization so as it is against my religious beliefs. She would not look me in the eye when speaking to me, had an extremely off putting personality, and told me if I didn't chose to vaccinate I could not come there. Good riddance! I have loved the doctors and especially the lactation consultant that was hired about 4 years ago (when my first daughter was born). She helped me through my darkest hours and was a big part of the reason I continued to breastfeed. The reason I am giving 3 stars is because of their billing and scheduling department. We have had many issues with billing and they have been quite opposed to accommodating certain issues that would be easily resolved with just a little attention. In addition, when my second daughter was born, I was unable to schedule her into the practice as you have to call a different number to register a new baby and no one called me back until she was almost a month old! I still have my first daughter at this practice because I do like the doctors, however my second daughter is now at a different practice where billing has not been an issue at all (as in routine care being covered) and the doctors are just as good. Also, if you are looking for a group that is open to non-traditional practices of childrearing (i.e. bed-sharing, extended breastfeeding, baby-led-weaning) look elsewhere! read more

We have been going to Eden park for almost 3 years. I love how there are 3 different locations and several pediatricians. We see Dr. Curtin-Hallihan and we love her! She is super great with our daughter and is very "down to earth." She also does not rush through the appointment. We also like the NP-Ashley and Dr. Keller. When we call in for a sick visit they have always been able to accommodate us with our schedule. The nurses are great with giving vaccines- super quick! read more

This office came highly recommended by our children's school when we first moved to the area. My first issue was the fact that they kept trying to shove vaccinations like the flu shot and HPV down our throats and when we said no, we got a nasty look followed by a "why not?" My one child was being seen for mental health issues and was offered nothing but medication after medication, one of which had terrible side effects. I went to go for a second opinion and asked for my child's records and at that point I was told I would have to stop going to Eden Park because "you can't see two specialists" so we said fine just give us our records. That turned into a huge waste of time. They only sent some records and when we called to say that the other office didn't receive the entire package, they tried to charge us for sending them again. We ended up telling them to send all of our children's records and they said (with an attitude) that they would have them ready for us to pick up. I picked them up and found that they only gave me records of whatever had been done since being at this practice. I called them back after getting home and they said by law they can't release records that came from another office. I called the old doctors office and they provided me with ALL of my children's records in their entirety with no issue. I'm done with this practice. read more

Our family was with this practice for 17+ based on a recommendation from Hershey Med with our preemie. I say that because my opinion is based on many, many, many visits and experiences. First, the office staff is (just as many people have written) terrible. They are uncaring, rude, unprofessional and appear to be rather incompetent. The nursing staff is okay, however, they too don't come across as all that bright and caring. I've always wondered why a pediatric care place wouldn't hire the nicest, child-loving people around?! Finally, the doctors are...okay. In hindsight, there are recommendations they made that I wish I had not taken. My mom-gut always cringe at all the vaccine recommendations, flu shots, etc. But that's not all, there are medically proven steps and interventions that we could have done for our children that they did not encourage, etc. I regret STRONGLY ever following their advice. I would never recommend this place to anyone. As a professional educator, I feel strongly that people who don't love children, should not be running a pediatric doctor's office. read more
