Where to begin!?…read more Myself and my sister decided to treat ourselves to a groupon voucher for a massage and a glass of Prosecco at Cube Massage Dundrum. We arrived about 15mins early and were seated in the reception. We were greeted by a nice lady who sat us down and returned to a client. The place was very small and poorly lit (not in a relaxing ambient way). There was dance type music playing loudly on the radio (not relaxing at all). There were dirty looking heart shaped wine glasses standing on the table. I made a comment to my sister that I hope they were just for show and not the wine glasses we were going to be drinking from. However, ten mins later, another lady poured some wine into these glasses! It was more like fizzy acid than wine (and I'm not fussy when it comes to alcohol!). We didn't drink it to say the least. At this point, I wanted to leave. But the therapist who served us the Prosecco said she would like to give us a presentation while we waited. The presentation (which turned out to be a half hour in length), was for some type of pyramid scam called DreamTrips that she was trying to get us to join!! I couldn't believe it. Long story short, I had to make my excuses and leave with my sister. I have never been made feel so uncomfortable in a place before. We thought all of this was very unprofessional!

I felt that the experience was unfriendly, unprofessional and in no way relaxing. The therapy rooms were locked when I arrived. I had to call about this. The therapist arrived almost 20 minutes late. She was unfriendly from the start. She acted like my appointment had really put her out. I complained about how late she was and expected an apology. She was extremely gruff and did not immediately apologise. Eventually she explained that she was late because of queuing to get her driving licence renewed and said sorry but this was mainly a complaint about the driving licence centre with absolutely no concern about making me wait for 20 minutes. The pressure was too much, it really hurt. I asked for less pressure and she agreed but told me that I had to work at a massage i.e put up with pain for it to work. other massage therapists have told me that some pressure is good but too much pain is actually not beneficial. I explained this and she said that these therapists were wrong. Added to this, just a minor note, the massage therapist did not ask me what oil I would like or if I had any allergies to any of the oils. I found this experience anything but relaxing. I wonder how you find repeat customers!!!

The massage started off well but then she started using so much pressure to the point where i was in pain, however instead of stopping she just told me to "take a deep breath in". I did this but the pain was excrutiating. she later explained this to be due to the fact that this side had more tension than the other side and advised that i take a hot bath with epsom salts later. I paid for the treatment and left the salon unsure as to what had happened as i was in pain but took the therapist at her word that it was just down to the fact that i was tense on this side. However the following morning i woke up with bruising over my back and the area which had been in excrutiating pain during the treatment was all swollen, i will NEVER return to this salon and I would not advise anyone to have the back massage!

I bought a voucher two weeks ago, a half day pamper package in Firenze Clinica…read more I went with a friend who bought the same voucher, and i took my 6 months old baby who was fast asleep in his carseat with me, as it was so hard for me to leave him for two and a half hours, but unfortunately the receptionist refused to let him inside and she was extremely rude, i said it's not stated in the voucher nor on their website, and he can't even walk!! She even refused to reschedule and luckily i got a refund from pigspack!! I went to Dundrum shopping centre waiting for my friend to finish and went back at 7pm to pick her up and again the woman on front desk refused to let me wait inside in the perception room!!!!!! because it's not a place for a baby!! I again couldn't believe what i heard she asked me to leave and wait outside in the cold with a baby who didnt make a sound!! I was shocked and appalled and extremely angrt with the way I've been treated, these people have no idea what customer survice is!! I am still shocked of the way she treated us me and a baby she couldn't stand to be in the same room with!!! I booked this voucher after going through a hard pregnancy and postnatal depression trying to take care of myself. Instead i went home feeling down, so angry and humiliated. What a disgraceful personality!

This place is the business as far as I am concerned…read more I happened to stumble across this place when I was looking to treat my lovely Mammy to a birthday present and I figured that I should do a lil something extra (as the bath salt hampers just don't really cut it anymore after the age of 12 when they are bursting out of the wardrobe still in their unopened crisp packaging). So off I toddled down to check out the place and I was really suprised. as when I walked in the door of the Spa the decor totally changed into a relaxing peaceful and personal sort of place with a small waiting area that you sit in before your treatment, nothing like the hotel that it is attached to (not dissing the hotel, it's just a very typical hotel decor), The parking here is free (score) if you are using the Spa, or it's right on the bus routes from the City centre so it's a easy enough place to get to. Although driving back I nearly fell asleep from relaxation! The staff are really professional and friendly and the products that the use is called Yonka, which is all organic, quite pricey to buy on it's own and extremely addictive! You have your own massage room complete with shower so your not sprinting from a mud bath to the other end of the hotel to rinse off (something like that happened to me before, I looked and felt like swamp thing) with the whole candles, nice relaxing music etc I went in bleary eyed and pale and when I came out I felt like I had just spent a week in a 5 star Spa in Thailand (minus the wallet stinging part). The price is actually really decent here, maybe due to the fact that it is outside the city centre but a 40 minute escale facial was €50 combined with full aroma stone body massage lasting 75 minutes was €100. I have been to places in the city centre that charged way more and I felt like I was paying for the location rather than the treatments. This place is a fantastic way to treat someone (or hey yourself) and the range of treatments is extensive, The one thing is though to make sure to make an appointment well in advance as they are usually booked up on the weekends in particular. They also do a full men's treatment list as well (I have seen some Macho lads come out looking suspiously fresh faced and sweet smelling, or maybe they all got lost on the way to the manly car garage...)
