I have to say the owner or manager not sure who it was, was nothing but wonderful. My friends ordered an arrangement for me and my family and I took a picture of it, sent it to them because I was so thankful and was so excited I received one. My friend also ordered another one from a different location to give to another friend and they did the same as me and took a picture and sent it to her to thank her. She compared the two arrangements and noticed mine was not as full. She was a little disappointed and decided to call the Darien store and explain the situation. The manager/owner? had nothing but apologies and wanted to make it right and I was sent over another one right away It was beautiful and I was real impressed. I would recommend this location because it was such great service for my friend. This was a terrible experience as I've ordered Edible Arrangements over the last 10 years as a gift to my sister for her birthday. The total cost was over $100 and as it appeared pretty, the fruit had to be thrown away by day 2. I called to talk with an employee to explain the experience and was requesting another arrangement be sent as this is not normal according to the quality and standards of all of the Edible Arrangements orders I've placed over the years. They refused to do anything to make this right and/or acknowledge the fruit being used must have been too ripe and went bad fast. Here's my tip! Horrible service and products. I live in California and my sister lives in Illinois. For her birthday, I wanted to surprise her with a box of chocolate covered strawberries so I ordered some from this location. They were delivered on Saturday. I later found out that the strawberries were of poor quality and not in edible conditions. Of course, like any other normal human being, she didn't want to make me feel bad about it so she didn't say anything until Tuesday. I called the store and Mary, the manager answered and told me there's nothing she can do about it. Instead of trying to fix the issue and help me make my sister's birthday better, she sounded like a broken record reciting the store quality control process as if that would make a difference for the poor quality of strawberries they delivered to my sister. I've ordered from the business Edible Arrangements for many years and this was the first time I used the location in Darien. I placed an order for pick up at 3:30 and received an email saying it was ready with the message saying "But no rush, we're here til 5 pm". After I finished my work call at 4:30 I left to go pick it up only to discover they decided to leave at 4:30 today and close early. When I spoke to the manager the next day, he indicated that the employee working yesterday had to leave early. I understood but when I asked what they would comp for the inconvenience since I needed the order last night he said he would have to call the owner. When he called me back he said there was nothing more they could do but offer a refund. I asked twice and he wouldn't answer "So you'd rather lose the whole sale and the customer then give a slight discount for the inconvenience?" He just kept saying the same thing so I said give me the refund and I'll use another location moving forward. Exceptional customer service ! It was the first time I was shopping at this store - I have always wanted to shop here for my daughter coz she loves these kind of unique stuff . My daughter graduated to HS and so thought will buy some goodies for her and her friends . I placed orders online - multiple orders actually and in the next 5-10 mins , I got a call to confirm the order was correct or if the multiples were done accidentally . The voice on the other end was so assuring and supportive . Online offered $5 off of the first order but it did not work and when I mentioned it at the time of pick up , the person at the counter said not to worry and he refunded the $5 to my account . My daughter felt so good at their customer service and I hope everyone running stores like these were as humble and understanding like the folks who run this store . We are just waiting for another occasion to shop there again . We loved all the stuff we bought from there - such cute and highly professional packing with good material and it's worth every penny you spend there , no doubt . If i could give 0 stars i would. The manager is still rude, unprofessional and doesn't care about customers. Apparently she is unfazed by all the bad reviews too. I received an arrangement for my birthday and the honeydew and cantaloupe tasted like LEMONS. Strange since they don't use any preservatives, so they say. It was so bad that after 1 bite, I spat it out and threw the whole thing away in my kitchen wastebasket. Apparently that was the dealbreaker as it was now in the wastebasket so a replacement could not be made. I called and spoke to 2 workers who both said that all they could do was issue a $25 credit to the giftgiver with no hope of replacing the majority of the fruit that was in the arrangement. THANKS for the not so generous credit being that 75% of the fruit cannot be eaten. They were so hung up on the fruit that tasted bad and their inability to replace the melons instead of focusing on their cheap credit which could possibly be applied to a DIFFERENT fruit that they actually got right, like strawberries. Apparently sending over 3 overpriced chocolate strawberries worth $30 was too much of a leap and they would prefer arguing with a customer for 15 minutes who now has 0 chance of ever buying from them again. UPDATE: I received a callback from "Ilene" after I contacted customer service. The voicemail that she left me was very rude and offered no solution to the issues that I brought up to her. I made 2 orders today, one from this store and another from a store down in Florida. The order in Florida arrived very quickly after the order was placed and it looked very much like the picture shown online. My order from this store did not look like the picture online. I received a call from a lady at the store who told me that they were out of the Mickey Mouse containers. I told her that it was okay to substitute containers but I did not realize that the replacement would be a white cup looking thing. Also, when I got a look at the arrangement, I noticed that there were no oranges when the description and picture online stated there were to be oranges. That was very disappointing to me since I chose this particular arrangement for the specific container and for the variety of fruit to be included. read more

She went to the shop where they did the basket and all they could say was it was freshly made that morning and there was nothing they could do. What a horrible experience. My cousin ordered a gift basket for me as a gift. The fruit was mush and rotten. I called the store and told them about it and asked for a manager. I was told the basket was made this morning with fresh fruit. So, I brought the basket to them politely so they could see the basket I received for themselves. I asked if they would eat it?! Seriously, would they eat it? They would not although the manager put her fingers all over the basket feeling the mushy fruit. I showed them the rotted pineapples of which they dared to state over and over was fresh and received this morning. Look at the photo. PLEEEEEEEEAAAASE DON'T GO HERE! They would have 0 stars if it was possible. My daughter ordered me an arrangement for Mother's Day. The store said they close at 3. We received the delivery at 4pm. The driver shoved a platter onto my porch, rang the doorbell, and drove off. The arrangement wasnt in a box, just the plastic platter. If I wasnt home, I would have come home to melted strawberries with ant topping on my porch. My daughter then asks where is the balloon and second box. I advised the platter is all they sent. She has tried calling them repeatedly day after day. She has used different phone numbers to make sure they arent avoiding her phone number. She doesn't get an answer. There hasn't been a 2nd delivery. And she has not received a refund. I'm reporting them to the BBB for theft. This is stealing when you take money but don't provide a service. I should call the news and have them set this place up. All I know is.... B...better have my money. Messin with people's money can cause severe issues. She said, "Well, we were there, no one was there and no one has called from the hanger we left." I left my cousin's cell phone number on the site, as well as my cell phone number. I AVOID, AVOID AVOID THIS LOCATION AND THE OLD GRUMPY LADY NAMED "IIENE" I had the most terrible experience at this location dealing w/ an old lady named "llene". From the moment I walked in to pick up an a fruit basket for Mother's Day, I was mistreated, disrespected and rudely spoken to by her. Her rudeness quickly escalated into verbal abuse after I went back inside to request a credit after initially being charged twice from her. She was completely clueless and expressed attitude when pretending to process the refund. After walking out for the second time, I realized my card was charged for the 3rd time at which point I lost my temper. I went back in and trying to remain cool about the situation told her that she needs to let the other girl handle future situations as she clearly was incompetent, apart ,from being rude to her customers. And shockingly, here is the response I got from her - "Get the F out, u loser". I am extremely saddened w/ my experience at this location, especially, when this is place where we come to buy gifts to show our love and appreciation for the most precious person in our lives - our mother. We had a birthday in the office yesterday and one of our staff members has an extremely restricted diet, but she can eat fruit. I found this location not far from our office and stopped in hoping to pick up a fruit bowl that I know other locations carry ready to go. The staff member that came out from the back was extremely perky and willing to help, but another woman was just plain sour and rude. I asked about the fruit bowl and the woman's response was "we don't have any ready". I said that's ok, but asked how long it would take to make one. Her response, after rolling her eyes, was at least a half hour. I looked at her dumbstruck and repeated, a half hour??? She confirmed it and I said thanks and walked out the door. I have used other locations on multiple occasions and have never been treated so rudely. While I will still use Edible Arrangements, I will never use this location. I'm shocked at the other review, I use this place all the time for both personal treats and gift baskets. The owner is FANTASTIC, even if I go 6 months without ordering I will usually find some of my fave chocolate dipped oranges in my dipped fruit boxes, without my asking. Orders are always ready on time and the service always polite and professional. Gift baskets are always perfect in every detail. Highly recommend! read more

AVOID AT ALL COST!!! I placed an order on valentines day at 1130 am. I ordered the product to be deliver before the end of the BUSINESS DAY! usually business day is 5pm or so. Call multiple times during the day to check on the status and the phone was constantly busy. I kept checking online and still stated "arranging your order now." Never received an answer. Called at 5pm and they stated it was out for delivery. By 630 is still was NOT at its destination. I then called customer service and the lady told me not to complain to her since she is customer service and they are only allowed to place new orders or look at the status for existing orders. They could not give me a refund for some stupid reason of it being before midnight. She continued to say "well it is valentines day." That shouldn't matter. You need to staff your business for this, its not like you found out yesterday. This place has HORRIBLE customer service, rude and expensive. With the amount of money i paid and to get nothing is absolutely ridiculous!!! NEVER buy from this company cuz they do not honor what you are to pay for. They will rip you off! read more
