Date night. We've been here several times, and never disappointed. The service is always so welcoming and helpful. My wife and I switched plates halfway through, like we often do. Server was there immediately to make sure it wasn't because of anything wrong with either dish. They really care here. Food was delish as usual. Best veggie burger in roc, like I'd rather have it that a beef burger, and I'm omnivore. Brussels were toasty and crisp, and not floating in grease like most places. The chicken Milanese with the arugula salad was wonderful and generously portioned. Wasn't nuts about their featured cocktail list, but ordered an old favorite (boulevardier) and they made it PERFECT. My wife ordered something on the sweeter side and really dug it. Gnocchi with Pepperoni Sauce- Delicious!! Entrees: Lobster Ravioli: loved that the ravioli were handmade and delicately done, but they were served lukewarm, at best. The shrimp did seem a little undercooked by the opaque color, but tasted ok. The heavy cream sauce took away from the decadent ravioli, which was a shame. I loved everything about my recent experience at Edibles Restaurant & Bar, from the exposed brick walls to the cute chandeliers and delicious food--Edibles is the whole package. Stopped by for dinner and began my experience with a glass of pinot noir. They have a decent wine list (while not expansive, a good option for each varietal is in attendance) and the pinot was perfect. The salads are reportedly side size but I would say they're a bit bigger than that. I started things off with the beet salad, which was a flavorful blend of beets, greens, chevre, and candied nuts. It was amazing! For my main, I got the vegan pesto pasta (with shaved parmesan added so more of a vegetarian pesto pasta). It was flavorful and ample. I could have easily split it and the salad with a second person but it was so good--I ate the whole thing myself. They do have a few desserts on menu that sounded delicious but I was way too full! Went there Friday, February 13 for dinner. After sitting down and receiving drinks, the wait person informed us that we needed to be done or relocated to the bar in one hour as it's a holiday. We won't be going there again. I will say the food was good. But to sit down and be placed on a time, clock is not acceptable. There are other places to go. read more

Had an absolutely delicious burrata dip as an appetizer, plenty for me and my guest. My entree was a little disappointing, breaded chicken with arugula. The arugula was nice and fresh, but the chicken was rather dry. My guest had the lobster ravioli, which he enjoyed. Old World Bolognese and NY Strip Steak were excellent. It was nice to see the Quinoa burger for vegetarians, but it was so massive that trying to eat it was a messy affair. I had the crab bisque - excellent. One person had the Korean cauliflower - again excellent. I highly recommend finishing with the bread pudding. Even with seven, the service very good. Tried a new place tonight for celebrating a graduate. Let's start with our waitress Natalie. SHE. IS. AMAZING. I would love to sit and just chat with her all night! We started with the Lunchbox fried shrimp and the one of the specials for the nights the pierogi. The pierogi was so delicious- filled with whipped potatoes and feta and pan fried. Amazing. Now the shrimp. The "bang bang" style shrimp is a popular dish nowadays and this is without a doubt the best one I have ever had. Giant prawns breaded in panko covered in the sweet Thai chili and black sesame. Perfectly fried and succulent. For the mains, my guest had the special shrimp Alexander. Shrimp stuffed with feta and wrapped with bacon. I had bolognese and it tasted exactly how I wanted it to taste. Finished with chocolate cake that was spongy and densely perfect at the same time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The acoustics are good, so you can hear each other without shouting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You wouldn't come here for just the cocktails, though. Not a mixology focus, even though they do have a nice variety on their cocktail list. However, they are bottled ahead of time and not always freshly made. The freshly made cocktails we had were ho-hum, with very light pours. Nice wines to choose from. And the specials sounded fantastic. We did get the shrimp appetizer special, and the flavors intended were great, but the fryer was heavy handed. The Korean Cauliflower appetizer is simply to die for. I'd go there for just that, I swear. Also had duck legs and they were really good. Dinners were all delicious - Lobster Ravioli and Bolognese all around. Dessert cake was enormous - the 6 of us split it!!! Rum soaked cake...pistachio...chocolate...blah blah. Had me at rum. Not used to the old days of slower life.. solid Italian restaurant. Reminds me of my days back in Jersey where the neighborhoods were Italian/Jewish. Most of the patrons were locals and the restaurant looked like in a local neighborhood. Attentive but I guess the city likes everything a bit faster. Drinks were good but a lot of the mixed drinks had ginger. Not my favorite. The restaurant is spacious but pretty full here in Rochester. Good idea to have reservations on weekends. So it did not seem like a reservation to me. Shrimp appetizer was tasty but cold and drenched in sauce. I have been to this restaurant before and the food was delicious then and it is even better! I had the steak with a pesto sauce with roasted potatoes with a side of grilled Brussel sprouts. The steak was mazing. It was seasoned very well and grilled thecway I like it. The pesto sauce that was on top was tasty as well. The potatoes were roasted perfectly, and the Brussel sprouts grilled nicely with very little charring. My friend had the crab bisque. She said it had a very good amount of crabmeat, was seasoned nicely, and was very dcharming. She also ordered the Mahi Mahi special. Great food and drinks, great waitstaff (thanks, Lucy!) and pleasant ambiance. It was packed for Valentine's Day and thus was a bit loud inside, so not exactly a quiet romantic vibe. However, that wasn't too much of a problem. The portion sizes were very generous and there were more than enough leftovers to take home. The cost was about average: an appetizer (that was big enough to be an entree on its own), 2 entrees, and 3 mixed drinks came to just under $105 pre-tip. Will definitely return!
