When we got here it was during a meal change(11:30am). I was surprised to see that there was no items on the menu with beef, so if you want carne guisada, a pretty basic Mexican dish, you need to go on a certain day, because on this Wednesday only chicken and pork dishes. I thought that the definition of Buffet was a little of everything. When we got there, We had to wait 15 minutes, that only cave my wife 20 minutes to eat because she needed to go back to work. So I asked if she could take a small plate but the manager said that they would not charge us again. My wife only made 1 trip to the buffet. The wait staff was very good. read more

Was very disappointed eating here for my birthday. I usually always come and love the food options they have but today was VERY DISAPPOINTING! We got there around 1:30 and they had like no food. Main food dishes they only had small qualities of enchiladas, mole, chipotle chicken, small pork chops and some grilled chicken. For sides they had dry macaroni, very dry mash potatoes, tostadas chips, tostadas chips with barely any cheese that was very dry, rice, and flavorless green spaghetti. It was just a major let down going to eat there and having pay almost $80 for 4. If the food was good and they had options then I wouldn't mind the price but was super disappointed. I also didn't think it was right or fair that they kept allowing more people to come in and they didn't mention they had limited food options and they also had to pay regular price for barely any food they could get. I heard customer complaining to the manager when they were paying and it would of been nice if they offer a discount or at least 1 drink for free for the bad food service but he just said he was sorry and thats it which at least he was trying to be compassionate but honestly was just very disappointed. read more

So disappointed. I'm a big time fan of Edith's and am always willing to drive out to their Pharr and McAllen locations because it's always a great experience. When the Harlingen location opened up, I heard a lot of not so good reviews, but couldn't believe that their quality didn't match. I was finally able to try it today and am nottttt interested on going back. A lot of the food options seemed to be done in poor quality. Items like the mole tasting too sweet, the pozole being having an overwhelming taste of oregano, the quesadillas being so dry, the enchiladas being practically empty on the inside, their green spaghetti lacking so much flavor... like the list just goes on. I did enjoy their beans, caldo, and arroz con leche! But 3 items being a hit and practically the rest being a miss, so much improvement can be done. The service definitely didn't make up for it either. No server stopped by to get us drinks for almost 15 minutes until my mom went up to one of them to ask. Even at that, there wasn't an apology for skipping over us (it also wasn't busy for an early Monday afternoon so I'm not sure how that happened?) No one did a general check in of the "How's everything, do you need a refill, etc." The only other interaction after that was someone picking up our plates once we were about to leave. I'm not writing this to warn people not to go, but as genuine feedback for the staff to do better on so many levels. Literally all of this can be improved. read more

We have alot of good choices for Mexican food here and this is not one of them. The food was bland and plain. The buffet had very little choices and put out small amounts at a time so you would have to continuously wait for food. They use hi tech ear pieces to communicate with each other and computer log in for seating but serve you plastic ware to eat with. They only thing we actually liked were the tortillas and around here everyone has good tortillas. After we left we actually picked up fast food because we were hungry..the price is way to high for the foid served so save yourself some money and disappointment and choose Las Asados, Las Vegas (to go only service is bad) oe Pepe's. read more

The food is ok. However the service needs to really improve. Tortillas brought out to our table when we were almost done with our first plate. Husband got a refill of tea but I had to wait for 5 minutes before someone even brought me a refill of coffee and that was after we had to wave someone down. Dirty plates from us sat on the table while we continued to eat seconds. We will not be back. read more

They have a great breakfast and lunch buffet, and Jose our waiter was doing the rounds constantly making sure our drinks were topped off, and made sure we had everything we needed. Coming from Brownsville, this place will be one of our main go to places. read more

Only a couple of things like the menudo and baked chicken were good on the buffet, most of it was a no.

Had to wait a long time because they were switching to the lunch menu, they sat me down after 20 minutes. They brought out the tortillas before buffet was ready so I had cold tortillas by the time I could get my food. Menudo could have been hotter, it was just warm. Enchiladas could be better. The lights went out while everyone was eating. I don't think I'll be going back. read more
