Excellent service! Excellent food! Great Value!! No frills, No hurry, local restaurant. My cousin had the Mojarra Frita and it was served on a platter, not a plate!! Old school, hard worker hunger fed here! The mojarra was whole and finger licking delicious! The cucumber slices in the salad were as big as my phone! The tortilla chips were crispy fresh and The hot sauce was spicy hot! Home made tortillas, yes!Both corn & flour: huge and tasty. I had the breaded fish fillet plate. Food was delish tacos are half the plate so one taco is like a burrito. If my coffee would have been better I would have given them 5 stars. The service was great. Very attentive and nice. Stopped by on way home from beach. Never judge a book by the cover. Almost passed this by but decided to have some breakfast here. Tacos were great! I had papa y chorizo, huevo machacado, huevo mexicana. The tacos were large and a great value on fresh made flour tortillas. The red and green salsas were both great too! Coffee was good too. We used to love this place, but things just got weird. Ordered Mexican special, which is one crispy taco, one Chalupa, one cheese enchilada; but asked for two crispy tacos instead of Chalupa, as I always do no problem. Waitress takes the order everything's fine. Food comes out And I bite into my crispy taco. It's all beans. It's a Chalupa folded in half, lol. Mind you, THREE crispy beef tacos are the same price as this plate, so swapping a Chalupa for a crispy taco shouldn't make a difference. They took the order and said OK. Then argued with us over the taco swap after we asked where the taco was and why was this a fake taco? Then they said I shouldn't have taken a bite out of it, which is how I found out. After long discourse with date in Spanish, they brought me the taco, pouted, and told me I wouldn't be charged for it. when I checked out, the guy in charge charged me for it anyway, and I caught him. I had to ask him twice to show me the itemized receipt because I saw an extra $3 charge come up on register. He did not want to. I had to ask him directly if he charged me for that taco. Yes. Then the entire discussion ensued all over again. I shouldn't have taken a bite, one bite. There are no substitutions. they've ALWAYS substituted it. We were regulars. The difference is that dude at the counter being in charge. And the waitress was a young girl who had no sway with that guy. They should not have taken the order if they werent going to honor it. They should not have been sneaky making a bean chalupa look like a beef taco. They should not have been deceitful when they said no up charge, then refused to let me see bill because they snuck $3 on the bill. I can afford the three bucks, but I can't afford the deceit, trickery, and lies. they shouldn't have gotten weird. Just weird. Weird, weird, weird. read more

I was craving breakfast at a non-breakfast time and decided to give this restaurant a try. Their chorizo and egg taco was great and I enjoyed the pancakes as well. The sweet tea was a bit of a bummer, but when I received the check I didn't really mind as this place is CHEAP. When you factor in the price, it's hard to see this place as another other than a restaurant that gives Mexican food at a value price. I was also very pleased with the service as well! read more
