They recently opened for two weeks. By joining their email subscription, all products are 20% off for February and 10% the month after. The staff member (didn't get his name, he has brown curly hair) is knowledgeable, transparent and helpful. He answered all our curious questions about regulation, sourcing and product recommendations. The OCS regulates and sells all cannabis products, which could be available at other dispensaries. However, the staff member told us that cannabis product exclusivity for each dispensary would likely happen in the future. Cookies is an iconic cannabis brand in the US, with over 40 stores there. It's their first flagship store here in Canada. It's not uncommon to recognize the brand without knowing its association with Cannabis. The merch, pouch and accessories stood out to me. A blue flat pouch costs about $45~ with smell protection. We're not much of a cannabis user. However, the Orange, Yuzu & Vanilla drink from Collective Project piqued our interest. The staff told us it's the same creators as Collective Arts brewery. Based on his reco's for experimenters like us, he started us with some low-dose gummies. I also left with a cookie. He gave us specific instructions on how to pace our consumption like waiting 45mins between gummy to see how we respond. All together (drink, gummy, cookie) came to about $23 with the discount. We also received some Valentine's Day cards and fine rice rolling papers for free. 5-stars for the staff and experience. 4-stars for me because I secretly wish it was more of a cookies and snacks galore. There are around 5 cannabis stores already in this one block along Queen St W.
