Can we say fall family favourite activity? Now say it three times fast! Hahaha ok all jokes aside, this place is super fun for the family. Best thing to do is purchase your passes online before you go because you'll save a little bit of money that way. If you sign up for their emails you'll also get a chance to purchase 2 for 1 passes or multiple entry discounted passes. I purchased 2 family passes for a discounted price of 25% off. At the grounds themselves they have a farmers market with local goodies, a mini farm where you can feed the animals, potato guns, wagons to pull the kids in, lots of picnic benches for having lunch (which you can bring yourself btw). Depending on the time of season you go, they also have a sunflower field for awesome pictures, and you can purchase sunflower stems to take home. They also have a pumpkin patch in the fall for great photo ops and pumpkins for purchase too. On top of all that x there are games and jumping pillows for the kids and just soooooo much fun. The maze itself changes every year so it's always something new when you come. It takes about 1.5 hours to complete so be ready with your walking shoes or wagons. Overall this is a super fun family friendly activity to enjoy and I highly recommend checking this place out if you haven't been before. read more

Also forgot how much fun it is to get lost and turned around haha This field trip has satisfied my inner kid's soul The maze proved difficult for our group right at the very beginning - which set the tone for the craziness that followed! the design was also fitting for 2020 You can also choose which half to explore - phase 1 (questions 1-5) or phase 2 (questions 6-10), with fun little exercises at each post to switch up the group leader, and the questions were somewhat challenging. We read the adult questions but the kid questions would have been too easy lol The petting zoo was more of a look-and-don't-touch zoo (totally reasonable), but there was plenty of other fun mind games and tons of sanitizer stations The funnest thing next to the maze was definitely the jumping pillow! (Yes it's actually called that) One for littler kids, one for bigger kids (that was us) Much stiffer than a real trampoline but you can get some mad air with a couple extra bodies! The corn maze is always a good time, and as someone who hasn't been since I was a teenager, It was nice to have a throwback to my younger days while exploring! When we went it was a fairly quiet day, which was nice, and we had a blast wandering around checking out the overall activities, which are fantastic! There's something for everyone, including food trucks, trampolines, potato guns (extra charge), a petting zoo, and of course, a pumpkin patch. During Thanksgiving long weekend, the family wanted to do something outside of just eating turkey and hobbling around the house. Given that our little monkey is full of energy, we thought visit to corn maze would be a fun filled adventure for our little guy. It did not disappoint. We were there a few minutes before opening and there was already a line. For $12 a person, you were exposed to the following attractions: a quaint petting zoo that had cows, pigs, rabbits, and goats. A hay ride available in the afternoon, a bouncy castle for tots and children, spud gun shooting(unavailable during the morning), and of course the corn maze. Equipped with two levels of difficulty, the corn maze offers exercise, fun, and the uncanny adventure of being lost and trying to find your way out of it( was my wife and tot took the lead navigation role after I went into delirium after about ten minutes in!) If that wasn't enough, there was an extra brain game offered by Bioware and Are you smarter than a fifth grader that offered fun trivia questions to which the correct answer will give you clues on how to get out of the maze. My only knock was that you had to pay extra in order to feed the animals. I know it doesn't sound like much since it is only a quarter, but each animal pen has a dispensary that gives out a small handful of feed, which means you eventually are reduced to digging out all the loose quarters in your car just to get a casual moment of attention one desperately craves from a cow(who is really in control?) Overall, It was a wonderful way to wrap up our long weekend as we watched our little monkey have the time of his life connecting with the animals. Definitely will go back. read more

Great day out, even in October. We were looking for thanksgiving weekend activities and discovered Edmonton Corn Maze. I didn't realize there would also be a petting zoo, jumping pillow and axe throwing. We had a three year old with us so phase 1 of the maze was long enough for little legs. Still long enough for me to panic and think we were never going to find our way out. It's well kept, sure it's muddy but it's a well trodden path and we'd had snow the day before. The farm store is cute and sells pumpkins, corn stacks and other gift items, like wild prairie soap and jams. Naturally we got the biggest pumpkin and the smallest pumpkin we could find. The petting zoo was decent. The goats were the friendliest and most engaging with visitors. For a quarter you can buy a handful of food and really get their attention. They have snow bunnies, chickens and pigs too. The place is well kept and had lots of photo ops throughout. Great place to spend a few hours, especially if you are trying to entertain little kids. read more

We came here recently and really had a great time: not only did we walk both paths in the 2017 BioWare Anthem themed maze, but we bounced on the air pillows and checked out the animals and the other kid-aimed attractions. I had been here before several years previous, and this was definitely a better experience. We chose a great day this time: the weather was beautiful, and we arrived early enough that it wasn't too busy. We chose the BioWare themed questions to help us navigate the maze but I really love how there are so many options for questions and ways to choose your path through the maze. The bridge is a good place to overlook the maze as well. Other attractions here include a potato cannon, a little train, some interactive activities and more! GREAT place to spend some time with the family. The only other time that I had been here was in October a few years ago... what a different experience if you go a little earlier in the year! I took my nephews on September 12 this year. They are 14 and 8 and they both had a fantastic time. The 14 year old of course is obsessed with his iphone so he was excited when he saw that there was one of those barcode things he could scan and help lead us through the maze. The 8 year old was super excited about the spud gun and the peddle cars. The maze is broken up into 2 different sections. So if you have smaller children, or the weather isn't cooperating, you can just do the one section. I think it took us about half an hour to do one. After the first section, we headed over to the spud gun. I believe it was $2 for 3 potatoes and there's targets in the field for you to aim at. Then we hit up the concession for some drinks ($2.25 for a bottle of water. they also have pop, juice and slushies for the same price). There are a few big tents set up with picnic tables in them. As long as they're not reserved for a private function, it's a great place to sit and get out of the sun for a bit. The peddle cars are free and a lot of fun for kids, but they're not monitored at all, so keep an eye on your kids! Finally, we rode the corn cob express. I was lease excited about this, but it turned out to be my favourite part. A tractor pulls train cars through a path that goes into the corn field. After all that.... the sun was beating down pretty hard and the boys were pretty tired, so we didn't end up finishing doing the other part of the maze. This is a great place to spend the day, and I look forward to coming back more often. read more

An absolute fum family adventure outing. The kid really enjoyed the jumping trampolines and the corn sand. And the first half of the corn maze then he wanted to be carried for the last half but pretty good for a 2 year old id must say. That Goats were the best part of the animals but in order to get the goat feed you had to pay 25cents. Luckly i had some quarters on me, but some others did not. What they should do is have it free given the $13 entrance fee per adult or have pre packaged goat feed bags at the front gates to pre purchase. As many dont have change upon themselves Especially for the corn maze as nothing else requires that you need change for. Just saying. Overall great day with the family. "What you wanna do today?" I asked "Let's go to the corn maze!!!" Pappy replied ecstatically "Corn maze?.... " I responded, somewhat surprised at her excitement of this idea "There don't be no mazes of corn in Edmonton, woman" I've lived in this city all my life and little did I know Edmonton does have a corn maze. Pappy was right once again. How was I not aware of this? I turned away to pause for a moment to truly let this notion sink in. "How entertaining can paying to walk through a farmers field be?" I asked myself After pondering for a minute or so, I slowly and purposefully turned back around to look deep into her eyes. Her anticipation of my response was apparently to much for her to bare as tears of what I can only assume were joy started rolling down her cheeks. "Ok, lets do it, Paps" I said somewhat hesitantly. Unable to crush the dreams of a city girl who's only item on her bucket list is to see an actual farm. We high-fived each other and headed on our way. Shortly after arriving I realized this hidden gem along the outskirts of the city wasn't going to be so bad after all. The overall size of the maze itself is quite impressive and the aerial photographs provided at the entrance are a nice touch. There are number of riddles and rebuses throughout the labyrinth to help guide you (I'm still trying to figure out what the hell the birds on the cell phones was suppose to mean.) and although it isn't entirely necessary to do these puzzles to find your way through, it does give you an idea of where you are and how much progress you have made. I won't ruin all the surprises but all and all it was a good afternoon. Some of the highlights include, stumbling upon a wood cutout of a giant stalk of corn taunting you and giving you the finger, double bouncing tiny children off the giant inflatable trampoline buried into the ground and most of all, fulfilling a girls dream of witnessing a real, live farmstead. Although it may not be for everyone. It's a unique way of kill an hour or two for only ten bucks a per person. read more

I can not think of a better family activity in terms of the range of ages who will find this fun and challenging. And cost is very reasonable. We love this so much that we always save this for our end of summer treat, just before school starts. Each year the maze changes and some years, like the Edmonton Indy theme, are crazily tough and can take a long time. But it is divided into two sections, so you can stop for popcorn, ice cream or a go on the pedal carts in between. Most years it takes roughly 30 - 45 minutes a side. There are a series of clue cards that help along the way and the questions are rated for age of participants and difficulty. Also a text challenge which will keep teens involved. Do take your camera as the shot from the overpass bridge is great. Do wear comfortable shoes (not stiletto heels or flip flops) and bring water as it can get hot. There is also an option to go a night which gives it a totally different feel. Great date night. read more

If you've never gotten lost inside a corn maze before, you should definitely try it at least once. Especially during the Halloween season, as there's almost nothing more terrifying than the anxiety that builds up inside you, as you desperately try to find your way back out. I went with a bunch of my friends last night on Halloween to the Edmonton Corn Maze, and it was pretty fun, even if I'm not one into scaring the living daylights out of myself (I'm not kidding, I'm a pretty big wimp). They have a Halloween event every year called the Farm of Fear (cheesy, I know), where they turn the barn into a horror-house and close off a certain portion of the corn maze for it too. The rest of the corn maze is left normal. I think it would have been more fun if the corn maze wasn't dilapidated and dying; the stalks were really short and trampled on. I've been in better corn mazes, you're not supposed to see above the stalks. But maybe it was too cold for the corn stalks, and that's why they were shrinking? The barn was more exciting though, although I was terrified beyond my wits. It's pretty much what you expect when you're not expecting anything, if you get what I mean. It's not too scary, but I did let out a few good screams here and there. I think I turned my poor boyfriend deaf in the process. They add a lot of fog (or steamed ice, I guess) inside, so you can't see what's in the dark. Oooh, spooky! During the rest of the year, I understand they have the farm animals out so you can pet them, and pedal carts that you can race around their race track. But for the teens and adults, I think Halloween is the better part of the year here. There was quite a turnout actually, even if the event only ran from 7-10pm. It's a bit far out of the city, in Parkland County in Spruce Grove, just outside the west of Edmonton. You have to look hard for the sign on the highway, because it's not that well-lit. The corn maze is a fantastic for families as well as a cool date night idea. I've wanted to do the corn maze for years, but have always forgotten about it until it's too late in the season. I am so glad I finally had the opportunity to go as my husband and I had a ton of fun! This year's tractor maze, the size of over 3 football fields, has 2 phases with 5 main checkpoint posts in each phase. My terrible sense of direction lead us to wandering the maze for about an hour. Besides the maze, the grounds here provide a ton of different activities. There's a jumping pillow area, farm animals, potato cannons, snack shack and multiple areas to build your own camp fire to have a hotdog and marshmallow roast. Things to consider before you go: 1. Wear runners you don't mind getting muddy as some of the paths can be wet. 2. If you enter the maze after 7 pm, consider bringing a flashlight. 3. You can bring your dog so everyone in the family gets some good exercise. 4. Bring a hot chocolate in with you if you are wandering the maze in the evening. read more

This is a very kid friendly zone. It could be easy to miss the entrance off the main road though. Parking is plentiful, but expect a walk if coming later in afternoon on weekends or during peak times. They also sell pumpkins & local honey along with snacks like kettle popcorn & ice cream. One food truck also on site. This place is more than just a maze, they've grown over the years and now have a petting zoo, 2 kid climbing/jumping mounds, plus stacked hay bails for climbing & sliding and picnic sites. The corn maze itself has different question clue maps to get through maze, but it only gives a general direction at the checkpoint, so prepare yourself for a long walk. Maze maps are at the entrance & are broken up into 2 phases which allow for break/snack time. QR codes can be scanned at entry & checkpoints if you wander in with smart phone & you can time how long takes to get through. I also appreciate how the maze entrance notes maze conditions as affected by weather (poor= muddy from rain). You could fit a stroller in there but it is tight with all the people wandering around and the ground can be uneven. read more

The Edmonton Corn Maze is a tub of fun, regardless of your age. And there is so much to do there other than just the maze! After paying admission, you can access picnic areas, with sites you can book and cook at, a big bouncy pad, haystacks for kids to climb on, a petting zoo of farm animals, a tractor train ride and a potato gun. Pay the money for the potato gun, it is more like a high pressured cannon, and well worth the $2. Everything was well maintained, and there were staff in the maze ("Corn Cops") you could ask for help if you needed it. I went in the middle of September, and the stalks of corn were starting to dry out but were still dense enough to get lost in. The maze is split into two halves, and you have the option of taking a trivia card with you into the maze to answer questions at markers to help direct you to the end. The first half of the maze was pretty straightforward, but it took about an hour and a half to do both sides of the maze. I can't imagine how much fun this would be in the dark during Halloween season, I'm planning on returning to check it out. Pro tip: if you have a GPS watch or tracker on your phone, bring it into the maze, it's fun to watch your progress through the maze after you've completed it. read more

My first time ever to a corn maze. I took my 8 yr old niece who was also looking forward coming here as well. The line ups were surprisingly long on the Sunday we went. It opened at 1pm and we got there at 1:30pm and the line up was at the end of the parking lot already. Parking was abundant. However, I was disappointed that when we got close to the front that there was a cash only line. Wish there would have been someone who walked around and told this to the people that were there. The little quizzes were cute and a fun activity to do. My niece really enjoyed the farm animals and feeding them. It was also a good backdrop for taking pictures which was what I did with her. We did enjoy it overall. With a gate admission fee of $11.00 per adult and $9.00 per youth (5 to 11 yrs old), I thought it was pretty steep. Maybe $8.00 for adult and $5.00 for youth? For that kind of money I expected to get a lot more value for the money. Seriously, that's the price of admission to a movie or 4 cases of beer from Superstore. All I got was a walk through a lot of dead, dried up and at times, sharp corn stocks. I'm sorry but I don't see the value here. It seems someone has developed a way to only work for 2 weeks out of the year and rake in $250K or more when you add up all the other fees for spud shots, snacks and the tractor "train ride". The bouncy pillow and hay bale stack was a nice addition too but again, NOT WORTH IT. read more

I went to the Edmonton Corn Maze on the weekend and took my daughter and she absolutely loved it. They have a bbq area, carts you can ride around, an inflatable pillow (like a trampoline) and a petting zoo. It was very well maintained and we actually got lost in the maze. The corn stalks were high enough at this time of year (we couldn't see over them). We went in the evening and did it while it was still light but then wanted to try it in the dark too so did the first phase again. We will definitely go back again and might even check out the Halloween thing. read more

Staff could be much better. We went to the Edmonton corn maze on September 25, which was the free attractions day in Edmonton. However the EDMONTON corn maze was not free that day (while one of the parking attendants said it was free). There was a huge lineup (since a lot of people thought it was free). There was a separate line for cash only (which was much shorter) but it was not properly marked and that caused confusion. We paid for admission and the train ride but did not get any additional tickets for the train. We thought it was indicated by a different-coloured bracelet, but had to pay again when got on the train (after another long lineup). In addition, there was a private event tent which was not marked so when people approached it to use the empty picnic tables they were shooed away. The maze itself is nice and the grounds are fun for the kids. Bring your own food/drink if you want to avoid more lineups. read more
