At the time we went during the day, it was pretty quiet. Highly recommend for all hour recreation needs and family friendly too!

I mainly went for the pool today. The change room had those lockers that you punch in a 4 digit code and it saves it and locks it for you. Just remember the code and your locker number. They have the typical 25 meter pool and a kid pool with water jets and beach entry. I seen something called a 'lazy river' which looked like a sort of maze you could meander through, which was kind of interesting. I think these are all salt water. I believe I seen another pool as well that looked shallow, but deeper then the kid pool. Theres a hot tub thats actually pretty large. I seen a steam room but it was closed. Additionally I seen a water slide, as well as 3 tiers of diving boards. Its not too shabby for catching a swim but it would be nice if they had a sauna.

Barca Academy Edmonton and the parent company/co-organizer BCN Sports Services Canada Inc., bilked…read moremy family out of over $500. We had a couple positive reviews from parents and players who regularly attend Barca Academy Edmonton, and decided to try a small commitment to see if our son enjoyed it. We registered our son on March, 3, 2020 for the Edmonton March Break Soccer Camp to take place Mar.23-27, 2020 at the Karl Weidle Soccer Centre in Edmonton. On March 13, 2020 BCN Sports Services Canada, on behalf of Barca Academy Edmonton via email, cancelled the camp due to the uncertain conditions created by the COVID-19 pandemic. This was a prudent move. The notice stated that credit would be given for summer camps in Spruce Grove or the 2021 March Break camp. Neither of these options worked for us, so as stated in the player agreement, we requested the option of a refund. Unfortunately , the management of BCN Sports Services Canada decided to ignore the Player Agreement acknowledged at the time of registration and refused refunds to participants. Despite repeated requests with the Project Director, our refund was denied. The terms agreed to stated: "If the FCB Soccer Camp is cancelled, our liability is limited to a full refund of your deposits and FCB Soccer Camp Price, and we will not be liable for any other costs, damages, or refunds of any kind for any loss, delay, inconvenience, disappointment, or expense whatsoever in such circumstances. If for reasons beyond our control, a FCB Soccer Camp in progress must be interrupted or cancelled, we will in good faith consider refunding a portion of the FCB Soccer Camp Price depending on our actual costs incurred compared to the FCB Soccer Camp as originally contemplated." Their terms clearly say that they will refund the FCB Soccer Camp Price. BCN Sports Services Canada and as a Co-Organizer, Barca Academy Edmonton violated their own terms to suit their needs. The Project Director's exact words were "providing a credit to our clients is something that has a huge negative impact on our operations" and that not honouring the agreement and providing a refund "is the best option to preserve the continuation of our activities". The ridiculousness of that statement is mind-boggling. The implication that one week of soccer camp registration fees refunded, to only those that requested, in one of the six cities they operate in Canada would be detrimental to their operations, is laughable. The fact that BCN Sports/Barca Academy acted this way during some of the most uncertain times ever faced by Canadian families is deplorable. To sum up there actions, they kept my money to pay for other things, and they used a global pandemic to veil their greed. This company may offer good training, but their management decision to ignore their own terms is a clear indication that the values guiding BCN Sports Services Canada and Barca Academy Edmonton are unethical and immoral. We will not ever support nor recommend any activities that BCN Sports Canada or any Barca Academy are involved with. Our advice...stay away! I needed to get a present for a friend who is insane about hockey, so I went to Game On Sports,…read morehoping I would find her something. I'm not a hockey fan at all, so I had never been in this store before. A friendly worker (maybe owner) greeted me, when I walked in. This place was full of sports merchandise--mostly hockey, but there was some football and a bit of soccer stuff too. I really like the t-shirts of old school football teams. They were made so they looked "vintage." Lots of jerseys, hoodies, t-shirts, and a whole lot of caps lined the walls. There were a few large displays of Oilers merchandise, like yo-yos, keychains, mugs, pucks, clocks, toy cars--pretty much anything you can think of. I ended up getting my friend an Oilers t-shirt and a toothbrush. I mean, who doesn't want to put the Oilers in their mouth? Okay, bad joke.

Unfortunately they didn't have the Oiler's hat that I wanted and she recommended another place. She was helping another person before me and listening to her you can tell she is passionate and knows her stuff. Only issue, the company cuts costs and doesn't give business cards at this store. Cheap, and not a real cost cutter, and the signed Oiler's gear got sent to the Oiler's store in Kingsway. Which is a joke and we won't go back due to the horrible lack of service, or even acknowledgement that there are actual shopping customers in that store (4 of us). This place, though, was great! Friendly and superior service. Someone get this lady, Faith, to train other staff at other stores. OR fire those ASSHATS at the Oiler's store in Kingsway and get her in there.

BRING YOUR KIDS! A great place to take all of your kids for an afternoon in the park!…read more Lots of trails lead to the park. If you can't walk here, there are bus stops at both ends of the park or plentiful parking on the street. The park has four main areas - splash pad with sandbox; playground; sledding hill; soccer fields. Splash pad - Amazing summer get away! The pad is large and has a ton of activities to help us cool off. Benches surround the area. There is also a sand area! The area has a cool rock feature and toys for kids to use sand on. Playground - It's divided into two main parts that are separated by an awesome rock climbing feature. One part is meant for new walkers/toddlers. The other part is bigger, badder, taller and meant for school aged children. There is a huge shaded area set up here with picnic benches underneath. The park does have a booth open in the summer for guided (free!) activities. The hours vary and can be found on their website. The park has portable bathrooms available. It's a great place to come for a visit! The negatives give this park less than 5 stars. The splash park water is extremely cold. Your kids will be happy but shivering. The park development is very new. The trees are not big enough to provide shade. The splash park area has no shade. So if you need a break from the sun, you must walk elsewhere or bring your own shade tent. The splash pad design has everyone getting drenched due to the middle bucket. You can't enjoy just a drizzle. You are either dry or wet.
