Despite being on a Sunday morning, Dr. Yee was able to see me as soon as I could get there. A few preliminary questions/forms and an adjustment soon followed. The nature of my back injuries (from 1989) are life-long and I will never be pain-free, but Dr. Yee's dedication and practice has been able to accommodate my schedule over the years, providing ongoing relief. I have followed Dr. Yee to his new location just east of Mayfield Common and he is the only Chiropractor in Edmonton I will consider. Subject to availability, Chirocare has also been able to accommodate requests for massage immediately (or very shortly) followed by a chiropractic adjustment for maximum benefit. It was on a Saturday, and the receptionist gave me clear directions on where to park and how to get to the location. When I arrived, he introduced himself (Constantine!), and gave me three pages for me to fill out regarding my information/history. The chiropractor, Dr. Yee, saw me shortly after my arrival and took a complete history, did a thorough exam, and then tried his best to fix me (apparently my upper spine/ribs are rather difficult to move). He was also personable. The three "As": able, available, and affable. This is what you want in a health care provider! His office also provides sport medicine consults and massage therapy and acupuncture. There's a small amount of free parking to be had; otherwise, arrive early and park across the street at the Meadowlark Mall. More updates as I see the need. EDIT: My second visit was of similar high quality as the first. Plus, I've had very little pain since! Success! THEN, a few days later, I received a follow-up phone call from Constantine to find out how I was doing. I really like their customer service. I'd given them 4.5 stars if I could. The only draw back is both times I was there, my asthma was triggered by a strong smelling ?oil used in the massage therapy room -- it wasn't a bad scent, either, but it makes me cough. The reason I chose this particular clinic was to use the Biodex machine to increase my range of motion. It did not disappoint even tho I had to live outside of my home community for 2 months. I was told it is the only machine in Canada situated in a physio clinic. The Capilano staff from the front desk right through to other therapists and assistants are warm and welcoming. Arjun, my physio therapist was skilled and engaging while always focused on my recovery and increased range of motion. I highly recommend him. His assistant Ava was so kind and personable. As well as physio I utilized other gym equipment in addition to the Biodex. This included a treadmill developed by NASA that can reduce your weight for walking. Allie, the kinesiologist is helpful and engaging. When I have a second knee replacement in about 12 months, it will also be a complicated procedure.
