An ad for this had come up on my instagram a few months ago. I had bookmarked this to try out one of these days as the food looked good and I also heard good things about it. As my friend and I had plans in Leduc I figured it would be nice to stop here for dinner. I like how their booths are all private. There is a call button in the booth so that you can ring them anytime you need service. They also have the wifi password taped onto the wall in the both. The service was very prompt as soon as we pressed the button someone arrived within 1 minute. The staff was very kind and attentive. The restaurant wasn't very busy for a Saturday night which was kind of nice. They have a pretty decent sized menu with a variety of options. I love how they have photos of each roll and list which rolls are fully cooked and which ones aren't. We ordered the sexy mexican roll, volcano roll, and the scallop extravaganza. All were delicious! The fish was very fresh as was the rice. Each roll was a good size and packed with flavour. The price was pretty on par with all sushi places. Although I didn't order this, the tempura pieces were massive from the orders I saw that went out. This is definitely a place I'll become a regular at. They have two locations (Edmonton south and Leduc)

It had a moody vibe with red ambient lighting and an upscale edgy sushi bar with really unique, oversized art all around. Prices were fair ranging between $12 - $35 per dish depending on what you order. Service was impeccable. Our hostess, server, and all of the staff in general were warm and friendly. Our server was able to articulate the specials and entice us to try the mango salmon roll which was smoky, creamy and tropical. Sushi tasted fresh as we also ordered the salmon sashimi. Watching the sushi chefs interact with each other and have fun while preparing such meticulous meals was entertaining and mouthwatering. My absolute favourite dish was the Rock Shrimp Tempura in a creamy spicy garlic chili sauce. These were perfectly cooked and the prawns were huge and juicy...came with a hearty salad underneath them too. The dim sum deserves a shout-out as well. We ordered the Truffle Lamb and Prawn Shumai Dumplings and it was the freshest dim sum I've ever had in Canada. Reminded me of when I was in Singapore. We will definitely return!!

I thought the food would be questionable due to the price however, it far exceeded my expectations. Obviously it's not premium quality but for the price you pay it's pretty good! The menu is quite extensive with lots of different options. My table ordered several dishes and shared them amongst ourselves. The servings aren't full size which is great because you can sample a bit of everything without wasting food. This place is like a zoo on the weekends and there's quite a lot going on/lots to look at. I would plan to wait quite a bit if you show up. I don't believe they take reservations either (unless that's changed). There is plenty of seating as it's a large restaurant. They also have a little "convenience" type store where you can get take out and some unique Asian knick knacks, toys, and snacks. Despite how hectic it was, our waitress did a great job. The food came out quickly and everything was fresh.

Due to the line up, we had a take a number and wait for some time to get a table - while waiting, we went to the mini market inside the restaurant - it was nice to check out all the products available!! Once we had our table, we ordered bite sized steak with steamed rice, salad, California sushi roll, shrimp tempura and a bowl of ramen. The food was so very good - it was worth the wait. The restaurant was very busy, so it was a bit much in that sense, but otherwise a good tasty experience.

It was basically a deconstructed sushi roll with fresh salmon, avocado, unagi sauce, fish roe, and a poached egg on top. When you break the egg, it runs into the rest of the dish and is absolutely delightful. I also ordered the sweet mango prawns.... if you read my reviews, you'll know I'm a prawn lover. These were very creamy and had fresh mango and avocado, diced within. The only thing that I would have liked is a crispy hotter shrimp. This was more like a salad, but the flavours were definitely spot on. And the prawns were juicy and succulent. Service was also great. Our server convinced me to try their special seared salmon sunrise. I was a little worried that the seared salmon might be too cooked and I was looking for more of a sashimi vibe. She asked the kitchen to lightly sear the salmon for me. It was still fresh but fragrant from the searing. All the different flavours combined made for an interesting burst of deliciousness in my mouth. The plating of the dishes were so colourful and definitely peaked my interest as soon as it came out. Thanks Feng Donburi!
