I made an illegal maneuver that would've made Dale Earnhardt proud. We ambled down a country road for a short distance till we happened upon a double wide trailer with a sign. My cajoling worked, and we got a table. It was early on a Monday morning (and a holiday to boot), so we had the place to ourselves. A sweet waitress helped us with tea and coffee and we decided on chicken fried steak with eggs for me and pancake breakfast for him. Now I'll say this- this is not fast food. But it was a crispy, fresh chicken fried steak just like my own grandma used to make. The gravy was PERFECTION, obviously used bacon grease. I was in hog heaven. And the cook (granny herself, I assume) made sure my eggs were exactly to my liking (runny yolks with no jiggly whites). I wish I lived nearby or had a teleporter. I'd eat that CFS once a week! Definitely worth finding this little gem. Oh, and they told me about their small business gumption remodeling the place to prepare for its opening.
