Seriously !!!!!! This place has a drive thru going around the building full as well as I ordered at the window and waiting for 3 others before me. There is no way anyone can say this place isn't good and mean it . The young lady at the window helped me decide on the perfect meal for my liking and finished it with a slice of apple pie . I ended up getting some chicken strips and rice and red beans and it was crispy and flavorful. If you want fried chicken and there is one of these in your hood , go there ... run ,drive or bike ride . For my Texans, I would compare Southern Classic Chicken with the 90's era Hartz 2-piece with a biscuit, but way better. I ordered a family meal and all the pieces were fried fresh with a golden crispy crust, meat tender and no oversaturated residue. The service was fast even with a long queue in the parking lot and on the main street. I now understand why my family and friends stop at Southern Classic Chicken EVERYTIME they visit the area. FYI...Drive-thru and side window service only at this location, highly recommend parking next door walk through the gate to order and upon departing head down the back street behind the gas staion to avoid main street traffic. read more

Food = Always....You hear me.....ALWAYS: Hot, Fresh & Juicy b. they still offer bread rolls not a biscuit. c. Will always carry Strawberry POP (Soda for any Northerners that make it this way) d. Skinny, hot fries. e. Greasy but much need carb-loading dirty rice. OMG! f. I only eat white meat+fries+rice+red pop+pepper+extra roll. Ohhhhh! They have no regard for Diabetes/Heart Disease/Blood Pressure issues: the seasoning salt on those fries is DASHED ON and trust me you'll want it this way. Anything else just isn't SOUTHERN CLASSIC. III. Speed = It's a crap shot if the walk-up window is sometimes faster than the drive-thru but generally EVERYONE knows the routine so things move Expeditiously or refer back to Point I. (Remember! I was told the best fried chicken was here. Don't get me wrong, The chicken was delicious but I have southern Louisiana blood running through my veins and this fried chicken fell flat.
