Dr. Jang and staff are very pleasant and the office has such a friendly atmosphere. Dr.Gonzalez is also wonderful and she is very thorough, and discusses all treatments that need to be performed. Dr.Gonzalez is also very gentle and kind as most of the staff are. Melissa, the hygienist, also goes over my children's current dental health and she has suggested recommendations on dental care products and the upkeep of their dental health. The office and staff here are the absolute best! I've always been terrified of going to the dentist office, which is why I had prolonged going in for a deep cleaning. They recently completed some dental work and will be taking care of me from here on. They made the whole experience as pleasant as possible! There's a tv above your seat as you recline back in your chair, the staff as well as the dentist are very patient and answer any questions. They worked a payment plan with me and my budget without a problem. The care credit which had in previous experiences at different dentist offices been offered and pushed upon me, wasn't the case here. Dr. Jang is the best dentist I have ever had. I had over 10 different dentists in the past, and was never fully happy or comfortable with any of them. I am so grateful that I have finally found a dentist I can trust and feel comfortable going to. I never enjoyed going to a dental office but now I look forward to going. Dr. Jang is a perfectionist, an expert that other dentists look up to... And he's incredibly caring, honest and simply top notch all around... If there were 10 stars in the Yelp ratings system, I would give them to him in a heart beat. My my wife and 3 daughters are also huge fans of him. I absolutely would not recommend this dentist. All they care about is doing the big end work so they can collect big bucks from the insurance. Then, when you need something route done like a regular cleaning, there is no money left to cover it. Could my filling replacement wait so I got the more necessary, timely required cleanings? Yes, absolutely but then they wouild have not gotten the big pay off from both the insurance company and me in the form of a co-pay. They do not have your best interests or health as their top prioroity. I would expect this from any health care provider. They only thing this "dentist" cares about is that they are a company and their bottom line is the most important. read more

This office is the best office I have ever been to. I used to go to an office in Castro Valley and thought they always did a great detailed job till I had my first appointment with this office. They spend a lot of time going over your teeth and tell you their findings. From the front desk to the back office they are a very friendly staff/easy to talk to and always willing to help. Don't hesitate giving this office a call because your experience there will be life changing! Dr. Lim is a great doctor who worked on my fillings, she's very sweet and very informational and tells you what she is doing in your mouth step by step. Also the dentist office has two TVs in each station, so while you lay down you can put on a head set and watch tv which makes you feel very comfortable, especially if you don't like going to the dentist. Overall I am very satisfied with my visits and I look forward to going to the dentist rather then dreading it. I recommend this dental office anyone! read more

Dr. Jang is very knowledgible, and the entire staff is extremely friendly, except for the receptionist. She can be very friendly if she feels that you're a worthy patient, but she can be very cold and offensive if she decides you're not worthy of her time. She frowns and grimaces while scheduling my appointment, but she' greets other patients with a friendly smile. This makes it all the more offensive. I don't know what her motives or prejudices are, but it's just all very high school. I just regret that I can't give Dr. Jang 5 stars that he deserves because of the receptionist. read more

I've been going to Dr. Jang's Orinda office for 4+ years and have been treated by Dr. Jang, Dr. Lim and Dr. Gonzalez at different junctures. They've all been excellent, along with the staff and hygienists. At one point, Dr. Gonzalez recommended a crown on one of my molars, but when I balked at that idea, she gladly scaled back to a less invasive filling procedure. (It was explained that it might not last as long as a crown, but I appreciated her willingness to try something less extreme at my request.) The staff is friendly, prompt and accommodating on scheduling, which I appreciate as a working mom. I'm not sure about the "up-selling" mentioned in other reviews - I've never had that experience. 5 stars for Dr. Jang & team! read more

I give reviews after several times experiencing their services to see if there is consistency. I'm proud to say that they did very well in all areas of what good customer service should be. Each time I visited them...they were efficient, they make you feel as if they know you for awhile when they say your name with hello as soon as i walked in the door unless you are really new to their facility, they showed friendliness, caring (I have auto-immune blood disorder), safety for all, cleanliness & answers my questions in a way that i can understand. Although we cannot expect them to know everything that you need to know especially what worries or concerns you, it's still our job to ask questions especially potential bill (That way, they can check which treatment that needed first that will help your budget and definitely, you will feel no pressure from them). They have been dealing with insurance companies & benefits for many, many years so pretty much, they can assist you in using your benefits with cost efficiency in their mind, you just have to ask them to review it with you so you & doctor can plan your treatment well & getting the most out of your benefits. My sons used to be afraid to go to their previous pediatrician dentist so we keep looking for new ones but after bringing them to Dr. Jang, our family of 6 became their patient for many years now. read more

Dr. Jang and his staff are definitely as good as it gets! Dr. Jang's skill and expertise has completely changed my feelings about going to the dentist. Prior to finding Dr. Jang, I had a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist. I've always had to have a lot of dental work done - fillings, crowns, root canals- and dreaded having to deal with the pain and after effects of these procedures. With Dr. Jang, there is NO pain (including the shot!) and I've NEVER had a single complication. Dr. Jang and his office have completely taken away all my dental anxieties. He has state of the art equipment and an extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff that consistently gives A+ service. I highly recommend Dr. Jang. Very friendly and very professional staff, most important is Dr Jiang is very experienced. I had brand new cap put on. Unfortunately a year later I had to kill the root by doing a root canal, he didn't have to remove the cap I just put on, instead just drilled tiny holes and patch up again, the cap looked like it had never been touched. His office was also very accommodating with my tight schedule because of my travel schedule. read more

OUCH!!! I went to Edward Jang's and was scheduled for a deep cleaning and an extraction during the same procedure. The hygienist , Maria, opened my mouth wide and I cried out in pain. Instead of noticing something was amiss, she gave me another shot of something to numb me up and continued working on my mouth. The next day I couldn't open my mouth at all. 3 weeks later I went back, still unable to open my mouth more than a 1/4 inch. Jang told me the jaw muscles were torn, laughed and related me to a hippopotamus. I did not see anything funny. Finally after 2 visits to a MD. and 2 prescriptions over 6 weeks I can finally open my mouth. Jang then sent Delta my bill and I paid $100.00 too much copay. I was refunded but it was the icing on a rather bitter and unnecessarily painful cake. I will never go back to Jang and I urge others to shop around first. read more

He convinced me to go to Dr. Jang for my routine dental work and they are fantastic. They are first class with service, start of the art, and pain free.
