An administrator at the Capitol Campus forced my daughter to sit on a stool in her office for…read morehours. Ms. O said she forgot my daughter was in there. Forgot. My child. She left her and went outside. She left one voicemail message for me stating that my daughter was in trouble and I needed to call the office. No other attempts to reach me were made, even though I have 5 different emergency contacts available and the school readily called them all if one of my children was ill. I showed up to the school for an event and saw my daughter sitting, on display, in the administrator's office. She was alone and I had no idea she was in there and almost walked past. She immediately burst into tears BECAUSE SHE NEEDED TO GO TO THE BATHROOM BUT WAS TOLD NOT TO MOVE. Ms. O was told to apologize the next day but "forgot". I'm not even kidding. She finally did apologize (guess what- my daughter hadn't even done what they accused her off, which really doesn't matter because even if she did this was child abuse). CMP's response was to promote Ms. O to Principal of her own campus. I would never trust this administration. They can keep deleting my reviews all they want but I will keep returning. Parents deserve to know.

As two working parents, it was so important for us to find a place that is safe, reliable, and truly nurturing. At A2O, we have complete trust in the teachers and administration. They are caring, communicative, and genuinely invested in each child. But what makes this place so special is how much FUN the kids have while they learn. They're painting, singing, dancing, playing outside, splashing around on water days, and yes--even playing in the rain. It's joyful, hands-on, and exactly what early childhood should be. Our kids come home happy, engaged, and excited to go back. The community is also incredible--warm, supportive, and full of families who really care. That sense of connection makes a huge difference. We recommend Acorn to Oak wholeheartedly and have referred many friends and family members--everyone has had the same amazing experience. We truly can't imagine sending our kids anywhere else.

She was immediately comfortable with the teachers, especially Shareé, despite being a hard baby. The teachers were so patient and gentle with her, and that was the case in all four classes she was in. The teachers are absolute angels. The curriculum has structure, like a weekly theme to learn about a different topic, like bugs, or plants, or the seasons. But the kids are able to learn through play. We loved that each class went outside, rain or shine, in appropriate attire. So much of the day is spent outside so kids can play and explore. It was so fun to hear my kid come home talking about finding worms and pill bugs, or about how she learned about practical skills l telling time. The Acorn to Oak community that the staff and teachers have built is so wonderful. There are fun opportunities to hang out with other families at events on and off campus. We built close friendships with many families, and we have memories that we will treasure for years to come. I cannot recommend Acorn to Oak more.

Our children have…read morecycled through each room at Marconi Montessori and every single set of teachers has been absolutely incredible- they are kind and warm, focused on helping our children learn how to interact and grow together. The dedication toward developing the whole child is evident in interactions staff have with children. (Even in moments when I unexpectedly show up for a midday pickup- this is consistent.) Watching the teachers/staff interact with kids is a masterclass in raising tiny humans- it's honestly shaped me as a parent. I truly believe that my kids are better people because of their time spent at MM. I feel deep gratitude for the staff at this school and the community they've built. In my experience, the director bends over backward to meet the reasonable (and sometimes unreasonable) needs and concerns of families- I don't really know of anyone who feels otherwise... and I do a lot of chatting with parents at birthday parties. My belief is that preschool is about little ones exploring the world around them and learning to interact with others (which is a big enough job as it is) so my focus isn't on academics, but I know that's a big question people have: My 4 year old is going to be entering kindergarten extremely well prepared. She knows her letters and letter sounds and can sound out words, and is adding and subtracting at MM! She knows about music (calling out, "Those are drums!" "That was piano!"when we listen to songs) and excitedly tells me about the seeds they germinated in class and how flowers grow. My sense is that teachers aren't pushing kids past what they're ready for, and are instead focused on building a love for learning, but that hasn't resulted in less exposure to pre-k and kindergarten academic content. My only rec is to get on the waitlist early because it's a long one.

Classrooms are oversized with 24 toddlers per class, without a proper protocol to help the child de-escalate, self-regulate, and be reintroduced to the class. Although the teachers know the classrooms are oversized, all they say is talk to the owners. I would NOT recommend anyone to place their children here unless you have worked with your child to self-regulate, listen, and follow instructions.

We experienced a lot of turnover at a previous school while our son was on the LMP waitlist, but now we know exactly who will be there and that he'll be well cared for and loved each day. It's not uncommon during a weekend adventure for our son to ask to share something he's doing with a teacher. He looks at his teachers like family and is always excited to get back to school each Monday. The activities and curriculum are great as well. Weekly themes tie the art, science, and dramatic play together. The activities are creative and exciting for the kids, and he always comes home wanting to learn more. Covid has presented many childcare challenges, and LMP has navigated the pandemic incredibly well. They have been clear on protocols, communicated well, and we've always felt that our son will be as safe as he possibly could be at a preschool. We appreciate how seriously they have handled the health and safety of our child over the past 2 years. We can't recommend LMP enough and will miss it when he moves to Kindergarten this summer. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to Haley and her wonderful staff!

One of my daughters was initially nervous about starting school after being home full-time for a year, but it was clear after her first day that she had an amazing time doing activities, playing on the school's playground, and meeting new friends. Both my daughters are excited to go to preschool every day, which gives me so much peace of mind. The school is bring-your-own lunch but they provide 2 healthy snacks made onsite from scratch each day. I regularly receive picture and video updates of them doing fun activities - painting Easter eggs, dancing to live guitar music, etc. They also recently had their first field trip to the nearby fire station. Parents are encouraged to be involved in the school and contribute a few hours each month, which is flexible and could be cleaning, making Play-Doh, or putting together an activity for the class. At the girls' previous school, parents weren't even allowed past the door at drop-off, so the welcoming environment and transparency has been a nice change for us. Overall, we love Little Redwoods for our family and are so happy with the care and enrichment they receive there.
