I walked around the store, browsed through the items and noticed that the prices were not bad. They have a pretty good selection of lamps, fans and Knick Knacks. Twice now I've tried to rent a truck from this site and twice they've charged me double what uhaul…read morequotes. Last time it took 3 hours and multiple calls to uhaul after they continued to lock themselves out of the account, and I still paid twice the amount. Second time uhaul call center scheduled my move, this site decided that they didn't schedule it correctly, changed my reservation and then told me it was twice the cost. Avoid at all cost.

Now many stores like this still exist and it was a fun and interesting visit for me and my wife enjoy all of the general vintage items they also had. She especially liked a red velvet cape she purchased. We just noticed the shop as we left the Denny's in Mojave, it was just before closing so we didn't have time to thoroughly see everything the shore has to offer so we will be back again soon. The fellow at the front counter was very friendly and helpful and I look forward to our next visit when we'll plan enough time to see everything. Fatigues, field jackets, Army, Navy, Marines and other service items.

Which happens to be the Helendale Thrift Store. Anytime I am in the neighborhood I stop by at this quaint wonderful thrift store. I am a professional thrifter who buys mass inventory. (Usually books) The owner of this thrift is a very nice gentleman who honored a previous deal that I had with one of the staff. He didn't have to but he did, which made me want to come to this thrift store anytime I am in town. I felt respected and appreciated as a customer and enjoyed the pleasant smiles and stories from the staff. Fantastic deals at a great price. Parking is never a problem as the location is very customer friendly. Come in for variety of great items and you won't be disappointed. This place is GIGANTIC! You might get lost in a clothing rack of treasure, or sit on your next new couch, nonetheless you will be walking out with something great.

He talked about his wife of 49 years. I even got to see a picture of her and wow, what a beauty! He was in the military as a bowler, and I can't remember his top score, but it was amazing. I learned about his children, all successful. He's very proud of his family. I think he said he was 87 (don't quote me on that). He is absolutely adorable and definitely dresses very dapper. The atmosphere is rich, rustic, thoughtfully and uniquely decorated but not "pretty". Perfect for me. It's mostly old wooden furniture and fixtures but there are plenty of smaller items to check out, too. If I didn't sell my truck recently, I would have easily purchased a waterfall dresser or some other large piece-- their prices are fair! There were two kind gentlemen running the place together. They genuinely welcomed me and my two grown kids, and seemed pleased to have customers. It's always great to feel valued. The three of us really had fun looking around and we did make some purchases.
