My beloved niece during our weekend visit in the town surprised us for a late night one hour and half massage session appointment. We found the kind gesture appropriately needed after that long trip. One phone call as she mentioned has secured her a spot. I have noticed that a confirmation hour prior our appointment has been called by them. I can't blame the management, we requested for 5 people spot and on that time ( 9 PM), they could have either give our spot to others on wait list or they could have gone home earlier especially it is a Sunday night if we couldn't make it. Nuat Thai is a trending day massage center in the Philippines. I'd been to spa places in NY mostly run by Thais or Koreans and this particular franchise is under Thai's management. It is located in a commercial complex in Binan City. Location is accessible either by car or by foot. Mostly the clients of the branch as I have heard live around the vicinity. A smile from the reception personnel welcomes us when we walked in. We were seen right away after checking in. We were asked of the massage type and oil to be use oil for the service. It seems like our group occupied all massage therapists on duty. We were directed to another room, I'll call it calm room , a solemn place with Thai spiritual decorations wherein guests are being getting ready for the treatment. Next to it is the foot wash area where we were provided our slippers and lead us to the massage room. The massage hall could have about 8 rooms total if I am not mistaken. At the end of the massage hall is their bathroom. Dark but the hallway is properly lit in each corner. My husband and I were placed in a room together as they know we are couple. I believe all rooms can be separated only by curtain. The therapist gave us uniform (shorts), a towel and few minutes to change. The moment I lay down my body downward in the floor mat, with the calm ambiance of the place and with the help of the Thai music as background, it sets my mood to a good relaxation mode. Then the therapist started to work. Every time she presses her hand on any part of my body, with the right amount of acupressure I requested, it gives me so many ohh's and ahh's that I could tell is totally helping me relieve all my muscle pains and aches. I mentioned to my therapist to handle light my right leg that cramped after the long travel and she did a marvelous job. The tightness after the session has gone and she has made me feel better and comfortable. The aroma of the oil used to me was soothing and relaxing that made me feel asleep the entire whole session. The entire aromatherapy session covered me from head to foot. I even have an extra facial massage as welcoming gift. At the end, a nice beverage treat was given. The pricing is very very accommodating.... PHP 650+ tip which is what like a $15. What else won't you like? My one star though went away with their conditioning temperature, it was cold, me on my nudity of course made me use their bathroom on halftime. It could have been because it is the later hour of the night , they should have set the temp a little bit down during that night time part. Anyway, overall experience was good. If you will be in the area, stop by at this place. You wont have regret!

The place is not new and it shows, but they have this combination service that I really like. A one hour massage goes for P200 there. A one hour body scrub goes for P300. But get the two services combined and you only have to pay P450. The P50 savings is still P50, isn't it? You can add it to the tip you can give your masseuse if you're happy with the service. I almost always get the combined service because the body scrup can work wonders on your skin. I really don't know what they rub on you, but it feels like sand or salt, so it's rough on the skin. But the results can be amazing. I mean you end up with youthful skin with a glow right after. The body scrub usually comes first, after which you take a shower to get rid of that icky feeling of lying on a bed of sand. What follows is a standard massage. It's the combination of the two that leaves one feeling like a million bucks. The place has separate facilities for men and women, of course. The ladies are serviced on the ground floor, the men on the second. I like to give a standard tip of P100 to the masseuse because as far as I'm concerned, the service is totally worth it.

But earlier this year, I was surprised to find out that Tonton Massage, San Antonio Village, Pasig no longer was! The receptionist informed me over the phone as I booked an appointment that the owner had bought out her shares and the spa was called Oliva Verde Thai Message & Wellness. Despite this shocking revelation, my dad and I decided to give the place a try anyway. In all honestly, management didn't really change much apart from the slightly higher rates compared against Tonton. Service is good and the therapists were polite and skilled, but from a personal perspective, I'd much rather head over to Tonton and save an extra P50/100 on the service.

I'm glad they survived lockdown, and it seems that they've made improvements with the decorations, lighting, and upgrades to the facility. What I use to do with my traveling group was spend 5 hours of 5 different treatments which would normally include a facial, body massage, foot massage, body scrub, mani/pedi and services includes a complimentary dinner buffet! You can also customize your treatment package. After much debate, I was initially too embarrassed to go all bare, a bit too exposing around my friends. Just give in. When in Rome. Plus everyone is doing it! The korean spa's full-body scrub exfoliation will also leave your skin glowing and incredibly soft. I will warn you that when you receive a body massage, you will get complete body stretching at the end, only to find yourself thrown completely up in the air using all your masseuses body strength! My only disappointment's and surprised that the water in the "Hot Tub" was filled with lukewarm water. Top that off with showers that also had lukewarm water as well. Although you're in a tropical climate country, it's a bit refreshing. some may appreciate it. But for most, you'd like to be in a jacuzzi instead. The funniest moment was that my other half's work colleague recognized him as we were in the dining hall! Such a small world!. Located in Pasay City just off of Roxas Blvd near World Trade Center. It's definitely a no frills spot, and if you can remove any preconceived notions of the gritty facade and weathered interior, you'd be pleasantly surprised. What a gem. We opted for the one hour body massage and were both blown away by the depth of it. I don't know what style massage that was, but DAMN it was good. A mix in of some chiropractic for sure. I've paid far too much for other massages half the quality. So having never navigated this type of facility before (and limited Tagalog under our belt), the staff were very helpful and attentive to our needs. We also received a small sampling of massage oil as well!

To start off: YES that have WIFI…read moreYES they accept Credit Cards YES they allow walk-in's (but reservations highly suggested. I stumbled into I'M Onsen Spa on a Sunday afternoon, hoping to unwind with a reasonably priced massage and a dip in their Onsen. But of course, the universe had other plans. They were fully booked. So, after a few raised eyebrows and some typical Manila hustle, I was left with a couple of choices: 2-hour access to the Onsen, gym, or pool for 1,500 PHP, or a whole damn day of everything for 4,000 PHP. Decisions, decisions. Now, let's be clear: For a city like Manila, this place is a godsend. I'm giving it 3 stars because, let's face it, Manila has a long way to go in the spa game. But in the context of this chaotic, buzzing city, I'd still give it 5 stars. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, and it does what it promises: relaxation in the heart of the madness. Here's the kicker: the Onsen and spa are tucked into a little corner on the second floor. It's essentially open doors, and that's where things get a little... Manila. Picture this: you're soaking in a hot bath, the steam rising from your body, and instead of the serene hum of a quiet retreat, you're assaulted by the honking horns, the screeching motorcycles, and the random guy walking around yelling "Taho Taho!" That's the soundtrack to your Zen moment here. Add to that the thick, greasy smell of gasoline mixed with street food, and you're no longer in a Japanese mineral bath. You're in the middle of a bustling city, and it shows. But hey, that's Manila for you, right? And still, I'll give them credit--those hot springs are crystal clear, odorless, and the temperature almost hits right. There are two baths: a smaller one that leans toward "hot" and a larger one that's more on the lukewarm side. If you've been to an Onsen before, you might feel a little cheated, but it's still a decent soak. The saunas? Well, the dry sauna is a thing of rustic beauty with its curved wood, but don't look too closely. You'll start noticing a few blemishes, a bit of wear and tear. As for the heat, it's intense. I lasted about 45 seconds before I had to throw a bucket of mineral water over my head-- and please don't throw water over those electric heaters. Not coal. It's not the real deal. And then there's the steam sauna. Imagine stepping into a boiling can of Vicks VapoRub. It's pungent. It's almost suffocating. But I'll be honest, it did wonders for my sinuses. If you're looking to clear your head or singe the hairs from your nose, it's the perfect torture. Now, a word of warning: If you're used to a traditional Onsen experience, you might feel like you've wandered into a budget version of the real thing. There are no fancy lotions, no high-end shaving kits, none of the usual spa perks. This place is no-frills. So, if you're expecting luxury or authenticity, bring your own stuff, because you won't find it here. In the end, if you've been to a real Onsen, this place might leave you disappointed. But if you're just looking for a solid spa experience with a touch of something different in the heart of Manila--somewhere between the chaos and the calm--this spot delivers. Just book a massage and get there early. And maybe, just maybe, bring earplugs.
