He has fit me for every single club in my bag. I just wish he were still in my area. After a fitting he gave me several recommendations, from buying stuff off the rack to getting higher end custom shafts. I am glad to have done the latter. I am actually still using the upgraded shafts from fittings from a few years ago with new heads. You can also add other random things like sight lines on your putter, stampings on your wedges/irons, or some other fancy finishes. The sight line he added on my putter was well worth it. Before working with Buddha, I used to pick up clubs every now and then at demo days and sales. Sometimes I would like them, other times I wouldn't. But every club he has fit me for has become one of my favorite clubs to hit. Does it cost more? Yes. But loving every club in the bag makes this game of golf easier and more fun. One great example of the quality of work: Buddha fit me for a driver three years ago. I have hit dozens of drivers since and only recently did something beat it and only by a few yards. I went to Club Champion for a long game fitting. Sean Blackwell was my club fitter and he was…read moreexceptional. We discussed all the issues I had with my bag and he really curtailed the whole experience to what I was hoping to improve. Not once did I ever feel pressured into buying something I didn't want. It was actually the opposite. Sean gave me confidence in my driver setup and let me try a bunch of different shafts see the differences on the trackman. We were able to find some real issues with my current hybrid. After trying all the latest technology he fitted me into a proper shaft with the right stiffness, kick point and weight along with a new Callaway elyte head that was very forgiving and worked perfectly for my swing. The club feels great and is 100 times better than anything I could've bought off the rack at a big box store. I can't recommend this experience enough. lf you're serious about your game and want clubs that are curtailed to you Club Champion is the way to go. Sean never rushed me, he listened to my concerns and really made me feel like he understood what I was looking for. I'll definitely be back next time in looking to upgrade my bag.

The course layout is wonderful…read more Pro shop was friendly and helpful with suggestions to not only the course but to activities in the city. Playing conditions were solid. The course is open off the tee, but there is trouble here and there. I thought it was a great balance of difficult and forgiving. The carts are comfortable equipped with the GPS visage system. I strongly suggest this course.

Currently Driving Range is the only thing open!…read more Driving on Filmore on the way, you can definitely see the damage Katrina wreaked...former golf courses are now completely covered with dry and dead grass far as the eyes can see. It's really sad b/c it used to be really busy and now...dead...literally. The up side to this is that the Driving Range is open. The double decker is still standing but currently closed off. Bucket of balls - $10. Club rentals available..but I honestly do not know how much. Also are soft drinks and waters for sale. Proceed to the FEMA trailer to purchase your dirty balls to whack. Went here on a Sunday afternoon and it was busy!!!! Honestly, we got there around 2:30 and when we left around 3:30 - no more balls available....so either come early or on a different day. The driving range is also full of mostly dead grass...but the ghetto yard signage is up so hey, why not? It's great to see people coming here to support the City Park....definitely will be back here!
