This is a cute coffee joint complete with merch, and surprisingly tulips were wrapped adorably. It's a little moody with cool lights, and the coffee is locally roasted in Palmyra, Missouri. Everyone was super nice and they were able to accommodate my allergies and even let me check a few things for the ingredients they used to make sure we were safe. It was good, but not the strongest espresso shots I've ever had. I like a little bit more depths to my coffee, but for a local joint with locally roasted coffee, I was completely happy to support them and their business venture. I would probably come back just for the vibe to go sit with a friend and chat more than anything. It was in a fun little spot on the corner in downtown Quincy. Thank you so much for the suggestion. Their new space is beautiful and cozy, lots of seating options. The staff is always friendly and takes their time to make each drink carefully. The Electric Larry is kind of their signature drink and it's cinnamony and delightful. They have a great seasonal menu also, and the S'mores is delicious. They have slow drip cold brew and roast their own beans, which you can also purchase. They currently have a limited menu (we enjoyed the liege waffle and cinnamon roll) but are looking to expand with the bigger kitchen. read more

It is on a hidden driveway behind the parking garage area. They have indoor outdoor seating. It is definitely a drink coffee and do some work kind of place. They're all about being eco friendly. This coffee shop is hidden in Quincy downtown. They have a nice selection of coffees. I ordered their pour over and it was quite interesting to see the machine they used for pour overs. My pour over temperature was more lukewarm for my liking, but coffee bean flavor was good. The pastries are not made in house, so I'd recommend going with their drinks. Plenty of seating and open space to meet up with a friend or go on a date. read more

Love the new location of EFB! So much easier for Quincy locals and visitors to find. Inside has plenty of tables and comfy couches. We learned the background of EFB during the Quincy Food Tour and how much heart they put into the business and their true love of coffee. Oh my gosh....thank you YELP for having this small coffee business in your app! We were taking a trip to St Louis from Ames Ia and needed a coffee break! This place was 20-ish minutes away from our highway but we are so glad we found them and stopped! Great coffee most importantly, small little coffee shop with great service and ambiance! So great in fact that we stopped there on our way back to Iowa!! They toast their own beans and use less syrup rather than more! Wonderful flavor combinations but just a great simple cappuccino too!! This place is COOL. Great open refurbed space, super excellent coffee and espresso, and lots of comfy seating to study, meet with friends, or even run into one of your favorite old professors on a rainy morning (true story). I had the Electric Lary and was very impressed with the flavors and how well-balanced this latte was - less sweet, more coffee, yes please. My Dad was thrilled with his oatmeal bowl and my Mom loved her pumpkin muffin, but the real star here is the coffee. Great addition to the area, and they've even expanded to offer a space across the river in Canton, MO. EFB is a 10/10! read more

Wonderful mix of original brews and easy going small town downtown atmosphere add to the traveler's must-stop-spots for Mississippi River travels. The actual entrance is a bit weird, notice the alley in between the two main city blocks. That is the best way to drive in and find a good parking spot near the alley entrance. Friendly service, chill urban space, lovely decoration to enjoy quality time here, and some great specialty menu options gave my three guys and I a great assortment to have at. Unfortunately my Vanilla Rose was dull, not much flavors or must-get-again stuff. But the other guy who tried the Golden Goddess more than made up for my flop cup. That turmeric inspired mix went down singing. The rest of the drinks were average responses which isn't all that much to brag about but the experimental nature here and winning combination of ginger and that freaky Asian powder has it going on. I have since been here four years in a row now and it has gotten better. Most recently the autumn flavors did us well, dark roast straight black, pumpkin, and caramel mocha, it all was super tasty. Glad to see they offer Yelp discounts too! Great rewards program as well, the ideal setup for promoting customer satisfaction, will continue to drop in here every fall. read more
