My wife and I were then involved in a second, separate accident on March 3, 2025. This time, however, PLG's intake and customer service team failed to properly process the information and ultimately rejected the second case, leading us to hire a different firm. Comparing the two law firms handling our separate accidents highlighted PLG's shortcomings on our first case. We experienced a notable lack of consistent communication, updates on appointments, and difficulty arranging a car rental for repairs. A major concern was an issue with my auto insurance at the time of the first accident. This became a point of contention months into the case, yet PLG staff never clearly explained to me why my insurance status mattered, especially since we were the victims. The situation came to a head in December 2025, near the close of the first case. PLG informed us that while my wife would receive a favorable result, I would not, citing the insurance issue. They mentioned they were still trying to secure a better outcome for me. I was extremely upset by this news, especially after a difficult workday, and expressed my extreme dissatisfaction with their service before handing the phone to my wife. The next day, I called Attorney Sasan to apologize for my emotional reaction. He was understanding and provided constructive information about the potential for a favorable final result.They did get a favorable result, but I wish PLG had proactively explained the insurance issue and the relevant California law when it first arose, rather than at the conclusion of the case; I would have accepted the outcome with more understanding. The primary reason for this negative review is a severe breach of confidentiality and unprofessional conduct. Someone from PLG's office shared private case information, results and my actions with my wife's best friend. This has damaged their friendship to the point where the friend will no longer speak to my wife. Disclosing private information is unprofessional and unacceptable. While Attorney Sasan is clearly knowledgeable, the poor conduct of the customer service team left us with a profoundly negative impression. If anyone was to be upset with, it should have been me, not my wife.

Our car was the middle car and it was completely totaled. The driver who hit us from behind did not have insurance, so the claim had to go through my own insurance policy with $300,000 coverage. My wife and my two children were also in the car during the accident. The case took about one year to finish. During that time, I personally collected and delivered many of the important documents, including the police report, medical records, and medical bills. I expected the law office to handle more of this process, but in many cases I had to follow up and provide documents myself. In several situations the office asked for documents that I had already submitted multiple times. Communication with the office was also frustrating. Some of the staff spoke in a very aggressive and unfriendly tone, which made the experience even more stressful for our family. When the case finally closed, the outcome was very disappointing. After attorney fees were deducted, the total settlement for both of my children together was about $10,000, and my wife received about $36,000. Considering the accident involved a totaled vehicle and multiple passengers, we expected a very different result. My personal experience with this office was not what I hoped for when we first signed the agreement. On January 3, 2022 I had a nasty fall near the checkout area of a large, discount big-box retailer. I will redact the store name for NDA purposes but it's the one you love and not the one you tease. When trying to stand up; I fell again! I was immediately in pain, filed a store report and the next day - opted to visit a chiropractor/physical therapist to assess my bodily damage versus the emergency room and that is when the Law Offices of Gerald Marcus came into the picture. While at the physical therapist, the staff found multiple injuries to varying degrees and mentioned that I absolutely had to sue the store in order to have the medical costs covered. They have worked with Gerald Marcus before and gave them a call on my behalf. Gerald Marcus is a personal injury law firm so we're talking car accidents, slip and falls, work injuries, etc. Don't worry - they aren't one of those sketchy personal injury lawyers with cheesy jingles and corny billboards. They have won countless litigation and settled cases worth monetary amounts you can only dream of; plus have expert lawyers/staff that can handle these cases with their eyes closed. I knew I would be in good hands even though this would be my first experience with attempting to sue anyone let alone a billion-dollar enterprise. I initially received a call from Luis Garcia, the Attorney Investigator. Luis was super friendly and made me feel welcome into the Gerald Marcus family. He came to my apartment directly and arrived with my retainer/on-boarding paperwork. He was very reassuring and thoroughly explained the next steps that would take place. Shortly thereafter, I received a phone call from Gerald Marcus himself! The head honcho! The big kahoona! Although I was slightly intimidated; he too welcomed me and was very serious about the importance of my case and all the work they would do on my behalf. Being a super detail-oriented individual; I truly appreciated this. While in physical therapy, Gerald Marcus was working in the background to prepare for a settlement and if it came to it: a litigated case. I received phone calls from Matt Crayon every 5-6 weeks checking in on my medical status and asking if I needed anything/had any questions. I would have liked these calls to be a bit more frequent but I realize that being I was still in physical therapy; there wasn't anything monumental going on with my case, anyway. As time went on and I reached the end of my medical care; this is where the fun NCIS stuff came into play! Okay, not really, because this isn't TV plus not a criminal case. But, this was the point when court filings took place, contacts to the store's insurance company were made, forms were signed by me to prepare for a future deposition and I was assigned to lawyer Vincent (Vinnie) Consolo. Vinnie is a master at his craft and I knew he would take care of my interests. Plus, his picture is next to 'handsome' in the Webster Dictionary... he's a looker!  Wow! Sorry, let's return to more professionalism, shall we? Vinnie maintained communication through email and text and was flexible with deadlines. My only complaint was that there were times Vinnie seemed slightly annoyed/impatient with me or I didn't feel he was explaining things on my level. It felt like he expected me to already know the deal but I didn't - I've never done this before! Other than that, I absolutely recommend Vinnie. Expanding on that, one of the office assistants was also slightly unprofessional in her demeanor to me on the phone which I mentioned to Vinnie and he must have addressed this because she was very kind the next time we spoke. So again, my only qualm with Gerald Marcus is their slight habit of occasionally getting disagreeable and this is an area they should address. When all was said and done (my case was settled outside of court and yours truly would be getting a check!); I visited the office to grab my check and finally meet Vinnie in real life. The office building is beautiful: spotless, modern and with an adorable lobby area and this can also be said of the actual law office. Modern lines, airy -high ceilings, large windows with natural light, sports memorabilia lining the walls... this office was niiicccee! I met with Vinnie, met the main man Gerald Marcus, the rest of the staff, received a tour, talked about my case and honestly: felt like I wasn't just a client but also a friend! There was a lovely, personable element and I appreciate that being they take on hundreds and hundreds of cases at once (they even send out Christmas cards to clients!).
