I first came to Effres and Associates after a car accident that I had been involved in a little before my 21st birthday. It was a referral from a classmate of my and it was the best decision that I could have made. Here's a breakdown of my experience: After contacting the firm by email with a brief summary I was replied to with in a days time. Their reply was informative and honest, we set up a meeting the same week. During our first meeting the lawyers at the firm were honest and direct, there was no sales or gimmicks, just the simple truth. They advised me of the peculiarity of my case, my options and the potential results that were common. I felt very comfortable with continuing my relationship with this firm not just because of their successful track record in litigation but because I felt like I could trust the firm. After I decided to use the services of Effres and Associates I was given a list of things I needed to do in order to document my injuries. The lawyers were very detailed and helped explain why every step was necessary. Everything was my decision and they were willing to work with me instead of pushing me into what they felt was right. They also constantly communicated with me in regards to my recovery, medical issues and the progress of the case. Initially my case was a small potential liability suit but after some research there were facts that came out that made it a clear cut case of negligence. What was really awesome is that the lawyers took my case even before all the details were clear. After the new facts emerged, after multiple subpoenas, they did not alter the contract or ask for more money, even though we were taking the City of L.A. DWP to court. So if you leave a message for a lawyer and they call you back...don't get excited thinking they're interested and might take your case. The majority of the time they just want to get your information, either for their database, which probably has a wealth of valuable resources taken from past clients, potential clients and the many poor souls looking for justice. The lawyers will pick your brain clean to obtain the information they need. The next day you'll receive the standard denial letter...telling you that their law firm isn't interested in your case. They have to protect their law firm. After all YOU did call them, seeking their help! False hope, added depression, disbelief in the justice system and the realization that with all the education, training and experience... Lawyers take cut and dry winning cases. Horrible! will not give you the time of day. If you call and speak with a young woman, she doesn't take all the information down correctly let alone really listen. I feel like my case wasn't presented right to the lawyers. Not even enough for them to At least give me a call back or a reason why they wouldn't take my case. I would look else where as there are other dental malpractice lawyers in Southern California. There information on there site is inaccurate!
