The Serviceman, Josh, arrived, 15 min early on my appointment day. He was so professional, and friendly, from the time he arrived, until the time he left. On January 23, 2025, I had a technician from Metro come to inspect my furnace, which was not functioning properly. The technician ran several tests, showing me that the furnace was not operating as expected. He claimed that the original installers had improperly set up the unit, then identified a huge air leak and adjusted the gas pressure. He also noted that my temperature levels were dangerously high, which he described as a failure and cause for worry. After making adjustments to the system, the technician told me that the furnace would continue to run inefficiently until it eventually failed, he also did something to cause my humidifier to leak all over, citing the improper installation as the cause. The technician also informed me that I would need to replace the unit entirely, which seemed unwarranted, as the furnace is only about two years old. Also told me it would be almost 12k for a new one or a cleaning and seal for almost 4k. When I scheduled the inspection online, the website clearly stated a $60 diagnostic fee. However, when the technician presented the bill, I was charged $215. Upon questioning the discrepancy, the technician explained that the $60 fee applied only if a part were replaced, labeling the work he did as a "quick fix" rather than a diagnostic service, despite the coupon's terms indicating it covered diagnostic repair. The whole reason I scheduled with them was because of the 60$ ON THE SAME DAY, I had the original installer come to assess the furnace. After the bad tech told me the furnace was installed improperly. He immediately came out no charge. He explained that the issue was simply that the damper fins were closed, which prevented proper airflow. He corrected this and addressed the gas pressure issue. The technician confirmed that the previous technician's actions--turning up the gas pressure--would have likely caused long-term damage and elevated CO2 levels, putting my family's health at risk. The installer also stated that a simple cleaning and adjustment of the fins would have resolved the issue, without the need for any major repairs or a full replacement. I have photos of the coupon, the invoice, and evidence of the inaccurate statements made by the technician. It won't allow me to upload the invoice nor the service information that was done. I uploaded the pictures. These guys are dangerous.

Envisioned Concepts Construction LLC was provided by Home Depot. It took only pics of the damage and full structure texted; the bid received in 1 day was in the range a retired contractor estimated. I agreed to Envisioned Concepts Construction LLC's bid when the owner, Alex Nelson visited the project & confirmed it was a one-day project; penciled the day 3 weeks out, in HOA time frame. Alex Nelson was easy to communicate with, texts facilitated communication as he has new and ongoing projects. As I communicate to the HOA lawyer, Alex provided me the documents quickly. Fortunately Feb 14 had fine weather to complete the project. The 2-person crew that was to remove the rotted beam, build the temporary support and then add the new beam and remove the temporary support arrive about 8:15...as they were having a phone conversation with Alex to get the supplies Alex ordered @ the local Menards -- the Door Specialist arrived. The Door Specialist completed taking the door down as the 'Beam Crew' returned with all supplies. By 3PM the 'Beam Crew' nearly completed their work, also sawing the rotted beam and clearing all materials into their truck. I phoned the Door Specialist and he returned to put the garage door back in place and fully functioning by the time the 'Beam Crew' were ready to leave. This coordination by Alex throughout the project was First Class and the Garage Specialist finished before 5PM. As the rotted beam was likely due to the HOA not providing flashing or maintained caulking standard -- Alex with his Construction professional expertise joined me to write a letter on these matters to the HOA lawyer. We await to receive a response. In Sum: I fully recommend Envisioned Concepts Construction LLC for you projects! Alex Nelson will be fully attentive and easily accessible with clear communication for your project, irrespective of the size and complexity!
