The tech came back and replaced a sensor and still charged a weekend rate so after 2 visits and 2 replaced parts the unit still failed. The Manager cam out on Monday and replaced a 3rd part but was nice to not charge his rate because his guys Miss diagnosed the original problem and it turned out to be the thermostat. After all said and done she paid just under $1000 for three trips and three different parts when only one was needed and then she was offered an estimate to replace the entire unit and she would be giving a $300 concession off of the bill she just paid if she purchases a new unit in 30 days All Bad!!!

On January 23, 2025, I had a technician from Metro come to inspect my furnace, which was not functioning properly. The technician ran several tests, showing me that the furnace was not operating as expected. He claimed that the original installers had improperly set up the unit, then identified a huge air leak and adjusted the gas pressure. He also noted that my temperature levels were dangerously high, which he described as a failure and cause for worry. After making adjustments to the system, the technician told me that the furnace would continue to run inefficiently until it eventually failed, he also did something to cause my humidifier to leak all over, citing the improper installation as the cause. The technician also informed me that I would need to replace the unit entirely, which seemed unwarranted, as the furnace is only about two years old. Also told me it would be almost 12k for a new one or a cleaning and seal for almost 4k. When I scheduled the inspection online, the website clearly stated a $60 diagnostic fee. However, when the technician presented the bill, I was charged $215. Upon questioning the discrepancy, the technician explained that the $60 fee applied only if a part were replaced, labeling the work he did as a "quick fix" rather than a diagnostic service, despite the coupon's terms indicating it covered diagnostic repair. The whole reason I scheduled with them was because of the 60$ ON THE SAME DAY, I had the original installer come to assess the furnace. After the bad tech told me the furnace was installed improperly. He immediately came out no charge. He explained that the issue was simply that the damper fins were closed, which prevented proper airflow. He corrected this and addressed the gas pressure issue. The technician confirmed that the previous technician's actions--turning up the gas pressure--would have likely caused long-term damage and elevated CO2 levels, putting my family's health at risk. The installer also stated that a simple cleaning and adjustment of the fins would have resolved the issue, without the need for any major repairs or a full replacement. I have photos of the coupon, the invoice, and evidence of the inaccurate statements made by the technician. It won't allow me to upload the invoice nor the service information that was done. I uploaded the pictures. These guys are dangerous.

He came out on his way to another call and gave it a try. It wouldn't budge, so that meant digging up the driveway to replace the service valve. Ethan quoted me a price, set a date and arrived on time the day of the job. The water line was 10 feet deep under my driveway, but he and his crew got it dug up and fixed. This was an excellent experience. The guys were very friendly and professional. They did the bare minimum digging to get to the valve and cleaned up extremely well after the repairs were done. Had an impossible problem in 30 year old house that we recently purchased that had hot water coming…read moreout of the hot faucet and very warm water coming out of cold faucets - even had hot toilets. If I turned off the hot water circulation pump it improved but getting hot water to the shower took 2 minutes of running the water. Ryan came out last week and looked it over suspecting that the shower cartridges may be faulty and leaking hot into cold and took photos of the shower valves to make certain he could get the right model cartridges. They called earlier this week and had the necessary cartridges and assigned two plumbers from their crew who showed up at 9 AM and got to work diagnosing the problem. They pretty much studied the entire plumbing system before they took anything apart and when they did they found a stuck temperature balancing valve in the Master Bath shower. They did not have this additional part with them so they went to the distributor and came back with the only 2 in stock. They compared the new ones with the 30 year old ones and **Wallah** verified the two old ones they pulled were defective (no rattle when shaken indicating the valves were frozen) and popped in the two new ones and started the recirculation system again and were greeted with hot on the hot side and cold on the cold side. They indicated their office has ordered two more balancing valves and would notify us of an install date as soon as they arrive. These two did everything possible to eliminate other causes and nailed the root cause diagnosis which allowed for a thorough repair. Kudos to the diligent and very thorough LaBrash Team.
