I came here with my best friend for the first time and the food and service were beyond incredible and exceeded my expectations. Our server was very friendly and continued to check up on us to ensure everything was okay. I ordered an iced tea for myself and it came in a bottle but they provided a glass. I ordered a coffee for my friend and they brought a portable coffee thermos which was probably about 1.5-2L and the coffee cups were warm. The owner/manager came and sat down at our table to ensure everything was okay and to introduce us to the business as this is a relatively new business in Trenton. I had ordered the big breakfast which included 2 pancakes, sausage, eggs, ham, and home fries with toast and a fruit cup of berries. It was very delicious and I would recommend it. I give this 5/5 stars as they really exceeded my expectations in service, food, and their ambiance as their decor resembles concrete floors and bright colours inside. I can't wait to come back here again! read more

Maybe it's too much to expect Toronto quality Italian food in Trenton, but everything from the tomato sauce in the lasagna (way too acidic), ho hum aglio olio for the California fettucine and lack of simple garden salad (what kind of Italian place only serves Caesar salad or Greek salad?) just didn't do it for me. My fettucine was undercooked (not even close to being al dente), the chicken breast was dry and the overall seasoning was weak. Even with the addition of giant slivers of Parmaggiano didn't do much to elevate the dish. I would have sent the dish back if we weren't in a rush to finish our meal and get back on the road. The Margherita pizza was the best part of this dinner sadly. I'm not sure if we'll be back in Trenton again any time soon, but I will be looking for other options than Tomasso's.
